I traveled from Brazil to Miami to buy my baby's first clothes. 🇧🇷✈️🇺🇸

Our first child is due in September. We planned this trip around @cartersoshkosh because we trust the brand. I placed a $725 order — 46 items, nearly 100 pieces for a complete newborn layette.

Then their system cancelled it without a single notification.

Why? Because my billing address matched my shipping address. Their own fraud filter flagged a legitimate order as suspicious. A logic error in their own system cost me everything I planned.

What followed:
→ $100 charged for an eGift card delivered with ZERO balance
→ $50 paid for overnight shipping — never shipped
→ Hours with customer service — no resolution
→ Had to physically go to a store to buy $700 in gift cards just to work around their broken system
→ I leave for Brazil on June 8. Reshipping is impossible.

I'm not posting this out of anger. I'm posting this because I'm an expectant father who did everything right — and a broken system let me down at the worst moment.

False advertisement. Was told by three items on clearance and get an extra 20% off and I didn’t get nothing off!! won’t be back.

I was trying to order online. I needed 2 baby swim suits, that were the same. I received the message, something like, "due to low inventory, I couldn't have 2". It was so frustrating. I later learned that it was because they didn't have stock! Why not just say, out of stock??? I then ordered 2, but they were different. I had signed up for a 15% Perks Discount on my next order. When I was ready to check out, I didn't get a code & couldn't get one for some reason. I decided to just check out & then send a msg to Carter's. I then received a msg that they had adjusted my order. The next day I went to pick up my order & asked for a couple of "Gift Receipts". I was told because I did it on line, I couldn't get them unless they returned my order & then charged me in the store, which they did. I was then told that one of the bathing suits that I had ordered, was on clearance, for 30% off! Why wasn't this online? The staff in the store were wonderful! A few days later, I checked my credit card statement & there was a credit, due to their adjustment but it wasn't 15% of my order. I sent numerous messages to Carter asking about it. I explained that it was supposed to be 15% & it wasn't.... I did NOT get an answer about how it was calculated. They then said that my order had changed.... yes they are correct but I wasn't asking for the 15% anymore, I just wanted to know how it was calculated on my original because it had been calculated wrong. I told them it is so frustrating when you have to check everything. They might have nice clothes, but they are overpriced!!! I will be looking elsewhere next time I have to purchase children's clothing.

I clearly ordered a size 6, where as I received a size 7. Now, the company wants me to pay for the shipping cost??? Why ?? When clearly the error was in their part. They are not honest and willing to accept the issue was from their side. Hire educated people with good reasoning skills to make such simple decisions. Shocking!!!

I cant believe the terrible quality of these clothes and how overpriced they are . The sizing is way off they run so small And forget about that after you wash them you can't wear it again.
I wish the would sell pre shrunk materials, especially the pajamas I refuse to buy them here anymore,, they last my 6 year old grandson about a month before the knees come through the material. You can get cheaper and better pajamas at Walmart

the clothes are so inexpensive and i never knew until i went into the store and the amazing cashier told me the ages were to the child was 14 yrs old--- FANTASTIC!! i never knew. i always shop there for my grandchildren now

You have the worst difficult online shopping.
It really can use some work and I’m the only one who feels this way. I’ve even asked for help and they don’t get it either. It’s very frustrating.

Melissa is a sweetheart. She is always helpful and caring. It is a pleasure seeing her at the store.

Great clothes at an affordable price.

Every baby shower for clothes, Carter’s in Waikele is my goto place. Alrhough, is not very often i find that the Crew are very helpful . We met “Heidi”, she is very sweet and knowleable. She can probably sell me anything if she want to ;)

On 11/18/2025 I made a purchase on carters.com of $100+ (CAR112911801), since Carter's had a promotion at the time to spend $100+ in their online store and obtain a $20 gift card. Couple of days ago, I tried applying the gift card Carter's sent me to items in cart, and I got an error saying "invalid card number". I called all of the following numbers: 877-333-0117, 888-782-9548, 855-741-1209, 833-473-2655, 844-828-5332, and wrote to all available emails - all customer service representatives were taking me for a ride, telling me to call another number of the listed, or to write to another email (of the listed). Each time, another customer rep would tell me to contact someone else.
Carter's has fraudulently advertised promotion of spend $100+, receive a $20 gift card, then issued me a FAKE gift card with invalid number. If that promotion wasn't advertised on their website, I would never spend $100+ in one purchase on their website.

I want either a $20 gift card issued to me, or $20 refund. This is unacceptable!!!

Carters Customer Service is basically non existent. You get the run around with no answers. Placed an online order and immediately realized I used the wrong shipping address. I reached out via their online chat and was told they would have to put in a help desk ticket. I heard nothing until the next day. Their answer the next day was because it had been more than 60 minutes of placing the order, they couldn't do anything. That's on customer service for taking their sweet time. I immediately put in the request, we'll under the 60 minute cut off. Never again.

I absolutely love this store compared to other children's clothing stores !!
The store is always tidy and stocked. many adorable selections as well as sizes. Their staff makes returns easy, as well as in store pickups. They offer great quality clothing with many 20% discount offers.

I am writing this to inform you about one of your staff members "Angela" who works at Brampton location 499 Main Street S suite 265. She is extremely arrogant and rude. Her behaviour is totally inappropriate and discriminatory towards people of asian ethnicity.

This store is very near to us but we stopped shopping from this location because of that lady. Today again we went there to exchange the size of jacket because of her attitude we ended up returning and came back. I wanted to write email earlier as well but didn't feel like complaining about someone but this is the 5th or 6th time i am feeling the same way.

I hope you would understand and teach some customer service skills to your staff. Otherwise put sign boards that only White people allowed in your store.

Fake website. they ship a substitute cheap product that doesn’t represent what you’ve ordered. And then they deny that it’s a different product. Do not order from these crooks.

If I had a choice I wouldn't even give them a one star. I spent close to $500 online order, I got no email updates, until I checked 4 days later through customer service call, rude call center reps. How long does it take for stores to pick and pack? Which means store associates are not doing their job. And top it up with scrappy courier services. Ridiculous service. I don't think I wanna give carter's that hundreds of dollars business anymore. This was first and last for me for sure!

C’est de la fausse représentation. Il prennent des images sur de vrais sites de vêtements ou de bottes de marque, ils se présentent comme étant Carter Toronto, mais tout vient de la Chine et ce que l’on reçoit, c’est vraiment de piètre qualité et une réplique vraiment affreuse et cheep.

I was shocked at the poor quality of the expensive garment I purchased online from Carter Toronto. No wonder they don't allow customers to review items on their website. The quality and construction are not even 'fast fashion' worthy. This was described as an elegant, off white seasonal coat - it literally looks like a lab coat Halloween costume you buy at the dollar store. Just a little fake blood and I have a great Dr. Jekyll costume. I will try to return this, but based on the reviews here I might have to eat the $100 dollars I paid, right before Christmas, and just have nothing to wear. Thanks, Carter!
