As a civil engineering student
As a civil engineering student, one of the most interesting experiences I’ve had is seeing concepts from class come to life during site visits and practicals. Learning how to design structures, mix concrete, and interpret structural drawings is exciting—but watching a real bridge being constructed or participating in a compaction test on-site makes it all real. It’s a hands-on course that teaches you to solve real-world problems. Despite the pressure of deadlines and technical challenges, the satisfaction of creating something that can serve a community is what makes civil engineering truly rewarding for me.
