I do not recommend this company. I paid $5,000 for a product that still feels like it is in the testing stage. It is not ready for real restaurant use, and that should have been made clear from the beginning. My experience was very disappointing, and I cannot believe I paid this amount for something that still seems unfinished. If you are thinking about using this service, be careful and make sure the product is fully ready before you invest your money.

Initially I was very skeptical about entrusting “AI” with my Restaurant and Food Trucks but.. WOW.. I am amazed at how accurate, personable and adaptive Certus’ AI technology actually is. From my first call with Certus to the first day of using “Shawn” my AI employee, it was about a week and they were very informative all the way. The hardest part was making sure I had all the correct modifiers and descriptions on my POS. I was able to pick the accent, and persona of my AI agent, and honestly some people can’t even tell that he is not a real person.

Even after my service started, I had some minor tweaks that were taken care of amazingly fast, just by texting the engineering team/founder who made a group chat specifically for my business to communicate with them with anything I may need. This shows me they truly care about my satisfaction and not just about the money.

I signed with this company after a very professional sales pitch. I was promised increased catering sales, smoother operations, and a platform that would reduce stress for my restaurant. Unfortunately, none of that happened.

I paid $5,000 for this platform, and the reality was very disappointing.

First, it’s very clear that the team has no real background in fast food or kitchen operations. The kitchen flow is poorly designed, the dashboard is confusing and keeps changing, and even after almost a year, it still feels like a system “under training,” not a finished product.

The receipt layout is bad, the printer connection is unreliable, and basic restaurant workflows are not thought through. Before any restaurant signs up, they should ask to see the dashboard, review how receipts print, and understand exactly how orders are handled in real-life rush situations.

Instead of reducing stress, the system added more stress. With every issue, I had to go back and listen to 3–4 minute call recordings of customers going back and forth with the AI. As a restaurant owner, this is the last thing you need when you’re already busy and under pressure.

The biggest issue is that the sales promises did not match the product. The catering growth and operational improvements that were promised simply never happened.

I honestly regret investing this amount of money into a platform that feels like it’s being tested on live restaurants instead of being production-ready.

My advice to fast food and restaurant owners:
If you’re already stressed and hoping this will solve your problems, think twice. It may actually add more complications instead of simplifying your business.

Support is great always there when I need them

I’ve been in the pizza business for over 40 years. I’m old school — I used to take orders with pen and paper. About two years ago, I finally moved to a POS system, so when I was introduced to Certus AI, I was very hesitant. My front counter employee has been with me for 25 years, and change doesn’t come easy.

But business kept getting busier, phone lines were on hold, and the pressure was building. We decided to add Certus AI — and honestly, it’s been amazing.

It took a huge amount of pressure off our staff. No more lines sitting on hold. We keep one line for us, and when we’re busy, calls go to Certus AI, which takes the orders accurately and efficiently.

At first, some customers were hesitant the first time, even the second time. But now? They love it. The system is accurate, fast, and dependable.

Certus AI didn’t replace our people — it supported them. I highly recommend it for any busy restaurant that wants to keep up without losing quality or customer service.

The company is extremely friendly. The system is extremely easy to use both with owners and customers. Response rates are exceptionally fast, to alter, fix, or to add /subtract details, really anything at all. You can be sure problems are taken care of properly. As an owner of two restaurants, I highly recommend this company to service your customers phone calls.

He was so incredibly pushy to the point it made me uncomfortable. Nevertheless i still decided I was going to "try" it.

When it came time to actually set the AI up no one showed up and they just pawned me off to someone in india through discord. I couldn't get ANYONE on the phone.

DON'T USE IT. I would never trust a company like this.

Great customer service, especially working with Isaac and Gurveer. The start was a bit of a process, but they worked out all the issues we had and and now that we've worked out the major issues, they are quick in following up with any new issues we come across, which have been minimal. The program is very helpful with our restaurant and event venue where we handle tons of calls each day. The dashboard is pretty straight-forward and easy to use. I recommend giving Certus AI a try if you'd like to streamline your answering process.

We rely a lot on phone orders for takeout, and with just one girl handling both calls and in-person customers, things used to get pretty hectic. I kept hearing from customers that our staff rushed them on the phone or even came off as rude. Since we got Certus AI, those issues have pretty much vanished, and our team can now focus on giving our in-house guests the attention they deserve. Thank you Isaac and the rest of the team

I've had a fantastic experience with Certus ai. In the beginning, their team did have some trouble getting the AI to learn and understand my menu, since it has over 120 items, with lots of customisations for customers to make. But after they figured that out I've got nothing but good things to say. The AI makes me thousands of dollars a month from upselling and is saving my front of house dozens of hours that they would spend taking repetitive calls.

Running an American diner means I do a bit of everything—managing, hosting, and taking most of the calls. I was getting 30–40 calls a day (even more on Saturdays), and it was just too much. I first tried an IVR system, but my customers weren’t having it, and then I gave PopMenu a shot. Unfortunately, it didn’t offer the customization I needed or work with our reservation system. Then Certus AI stepped in and nailed it. After a few initial hiccups, the system’s been running smoothly for the last 2 months. They even added a new feature for free. I honestly can’t imagine running the diner without it now.

Very happy with Gurveer and everyone at Certus AI. We do reservations, takeout and delivery so I will say that I was very concerned as to how the AI would handle all those scenarios, but at this point I can confidently say it does it better than my staff ever could. The team is professional, seem to be working 24/7 and have not dropped in the quality of their support once they got me up and running.

I've been using this AI system for the past 4 weeks at my pizza takeaway and delivery restaurant. Our customer base is mostly older and they prefer to call in their orders rather than using online options. Previously, our college staff sometimes missed calls when busy with in-person customers, but now the system handles the calls and inputs orders directly into our POS and printer. We did face a delay at the start due to our older printer not being compatible, but the company resolved this by providing a new printer at no extra cost. Isaac and the rest of the team are great. Love this system!
