Chris service was exceptional I will give him 10/10. He was so helpful in identifying every snag that needed to be fixed and did a very meticulous report to capture all the defects that were identified. I will recommend him over and over.

Chris was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. We have been in our new build for just over one year and were a little cautious about having an external snagging report done. I have to say that it is such a relief to have this report as Chris highlighted many issues with our property that were 'hidden' from view. Chris explained everything in detail both in the report and in person. He spent a whole day at our property and was very meticulous. He respected our property and was very friendly. I have to also note that his 'aftercare' is also very pleasing, asking to be kept in touch with responses to work needed to be undertaken. Any further questions we had, he was happy to respond. He was also very helpful in wording our response to our builder. Thank you again Chris. I would recommend him to anyone that asked.

Chris was fantastic right from the beginning helping us with where we stood as a customer when the builder was trying to tell us incorrect information.
The cost of the inspection is irrelevant as he has saved us more money than they survey cost multiple times over!
Fortunately or unfortunately Chris Identified approximately 100 issues with our property, ranging from minor cosmetic defects to missing cavity insulation.
Of the 100 issues documented the builder only disputed 1 as Chris provided all the evidence required.
We are now 5 months on and we are down to 5 issues left to resolve, Chris has offered his support after the initial visit to ensure the builder did as they should.
I could not thank him enough and recommend him to anybody.

Fantastic service... Chris spent a full shift on a hot and sweaty Saturday meticulously interrogating our New Build.

Despite us sharing some of our areas of concern he went about it himself with a fine tooth comb and more or less found all our items and more!

More importantly he has highlighted a significant foul drain issue which we wouldn't of been aware of until it got bad and worryingly would've potentially been outside of our warranty with the developer.

We were so lucky to have our new build house snagged and surveyed by Chris at CG New Build Snagging. We as a family are so impressed with the service Chris provided us with. We can't find enough words to praise, thank and express our sincere gratitude to Chris for the amazing job he did on our home. If it wasn't for Chris' massive efforts and excellent work, we would have never picked up or noticed the issues and snags around the house. Chris is so professional, accurate and punctual. He attended our house exactly in time and spent almost 8 hours inspecting every single detail around the house inside and out. Never think a snagging survey is not important for new builds, absolutely not, it is super important because you can't just trust that the house is perfect and ideal because it is new. In our new build Chris found 90+ snags that the developer admitted all have to be repaired to comply with new build regulations and NHBC warranty.

After looking into many snagging companies we went with CG New Build Snagging based on the reviews and initial chat with Chris. He explained the process and what he looks for in simple terms - this gave us lots of confidence. Chris was also very accommodating with our need to change days (as our completion was delayed) - we were also able to get him booked in within 7 days of completion which meant all minor cosmetic snags were covered. Chris arrived promptly on the day and informed us through the day of any major issues so we could get the builders in there and then. Chris then sent over our report within 48 hours - this was very detailed and explained it in a way we could understand. This was forwarded to our developer who said it was a very professional and detailed report. Chris also offers ongoing support so you can check the developer has fixed issues correctly.

Chris himself is very polite, friendly and we were able to leave him in our home while we were out. We would highly recommend him and getting a snagger for your new build!

Throughout the process Chris was clear and concise with his communication. Attended punctually and was meticulous in his work.
He then provided an incredibly detailed snag report the following day and after speaking with my building site manager the feedback I received about Chris work and report was very positive indeed.
The site manager commented that the way in which Chris constructs and details his reports are as good as he has seen!
Chris listed snags, the issues these could cause and provided supporting evidence to back up his thoughts.

Chris has been excellent and I'd absolutely recommend him.

Everything he picked up was right to be raised, as confirmed by our Site Manager. The defects picked up were true defects, not just minor cosmetic items for the sake of filling a report. He undertook thermal imaging on the house and identified several cold spots, something we just wouldn't have known ourselves.

The report was extremely comprehensive and made clear what was an urgent must fix versus a 'to-do'. For example, our Carbon Monoxide detector was missing despite the Site confirming it was definitely a combined CO/Heat detector. He went out of his way to follow up on why it couldn't possibly be one (the company didn't make them!!!!) and he checked this directly with a Rep for the company. The Site also told me the report was useful and they appreciated the way he'd structured it (especially since ours was lengthy!)

He went above and beyond to help us with some bits and explained everything so we could understand the expected standard.

Chris was here for most of the day; he barely stopped and was clean, tidy and respectful.

In terms of aftercare he's been great too. We have a defect (that was very clear to everyone) but needs further independent inspections. Chris has continued to help us with this issue, helping us to challenge what we're being told when we feel we're being fobbed off by the Contractors. We're extremely grateful as first-time new build buyers.

My experience with Chris on the 15th of January 2025 was very professional and courteous. Chris came all the way to us in Derby Chris bridged the gap for me, for the experience I lacked as a first time buyer and buying a new build. His work was very professional and thorough. He explained his report to me very clearly , highlighting things that would need immediate attention from the builder. I will definitely recommend Chris.

Totally blown away by how good Chris was and I’m so glad that we decided to go ahead with using him. Just purchased a brand new home and the amount of issues he picked up was unbelievable. Things that we would never have known and wouldn’t have realised until probably years later or when it was too late when we then had a problem and were out of the warrant period. He came to our house for 08:30 and did not stop until he had finished which was around 5pm. Incredibly thorough and the work was conducted both inside and outside the property. He even picked up that drains were blocked outside and this required immediate attention by the builder and if it wasn’t addressed, we’d have problems over Xmas. Well, his observation was spot on and despite the builder dismissing the drain issues, sure enough we had problems over Xmas and had to call the emergency care number to get someone to fix it. I was also impressed with the technology Chris used to identify issues such as heat loss and sure enough, he identified poorly and incorrectly fitted windows and doors, along with insufficient insulation fitted in the loft. Of course all of this would explain why the new house feels so cold. This in my opinion is money well spent and I would highly recommend anyone buying a new build to get in contact with Chris. If the developers actually did their job right in the first place, you wouldn’t need to do this but sadly this is not the case and you definitely need someone like Chris to help identify all the issues, where you then have the evidence to hold them to account to put it right. You cannot do this yourself and identify all the issues, as you would simply miss them. Chris knows what to look out for and I’m so so glad we used him. 100% highly recommend. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

After looking online about snagging for a new build I found CG New Build Snagging. The reviews and pictures looked good and the fact Chris is independent made me think he was the man for the job and he defiantly was. Top bloke no pebble unturned would highly recommend. If you are buying a new build having it snagged is a must .

Chris has been fantastic completing the snagging on our home. He facilitated completing the snagging on a Sunday morning which was very convenient for us around work and everything involved with moving in to the home. Not only was the process thorough (73 page doc), but because he wasn't in and out, and done.

He's been crucial in making sense of the ongoing mess I've had to deal with from my developer, who have tried to take advantage of my ignorance on the standards they are meant to keep to.

So the ongoing aftercare process surprisingly enough, has been better than what I got with TW. Being able to ask questions, get explanations, provided relevant links and docs.

So, very happy. You'd be surprised how much you miss when everything is new. 5 months down the line with my developer messing about, and I can still reach out to clarify issues.
