Firstly I would stress that if I was marking the Solicitor I dealt with this review would be a 5. Unfortunately the solicitor I was dealing with for my case (divorce) was away from the Lincoln office unexpectedly and suddenly. I fully understand this happens and it is unfortunate and out of the businesses hands. My disappointment is that despite phone calls and emails from the 5th November which clearly state the time constraints I was up against I have had no response from another solicitor in the firm. I was promised this would happen by a Trainee Paralegal and its been complete radio silence. I have spent a considerable amount of money for my current circumstances and to be simply ignored is unacceptable. I have been forced to appoint a new solicitor at additional cost due to running through my case again and the subsequent follow up meetings.

This is the fourth time we have used
Mr Neil Jones , for house purchases.
With his team gave us a very excellent service. And would highly recommend him, And we will definitely use him again.

Chattertons were fabulous. Leanne Day helped me on my journey following an accident and she guided me through it all with compassion and care. She helped me to understand the legal process and provided both practical advice as well as tactical and legal advice. It was great to know that she cared but also for her to lead me through a difficult time balancing my needs alongside what was possible. Highly recommend her and the firm. Thank you!

Our conveyancing solicitor never returned calls, nor did they inform us that they were taking planned leave which we only discovered the day we were due to exchange. Our buyers were annoyed and we finally got a call from a replacement that evening asking if we had received various settlement documents, which we hadn’t. Very poor customer service and handover. Fortunately we had no onward chain.
On the day of completion, I called as requested by letter at 11am and continued calling until well into the afternoon to no avail - meanwhile our buyers had arrived with half a dozen horses. Luckily we had secured rented accommodation and could vacate but again, very poor communication. We expected better from Chattertons.

Very fast service made simple with the use of the portal which was very easy . And the staff were very polite and friendly giving a lot of re assuring advice .

Amy did an excellent job explaining issues related to my will. There was also additional information for the executors, and other possible aspects to be managed. I was very happy with her advice and manner of handling the situation.
I have some mobility issues and mentioned to both Amy and the receptionist that the chairs in the waiting area are much too low-not one is suitable.

We were kept in touch all the time with what was required and needed to deal with the probate for my late Mother. It took all the pressure off and so pleased we used Chattertons. Vilas Mistry so helpful and pleasant to deal with. Probate came through much earlier than we were expecting
