My order was never delivered to me which ruined a going away celebration. Not sure how a mix up could have happened. Instructions to call me upon arriving was clearly stated, received no call yet I received a text message stating it was delivered.

I really want to give zero stars! They ignored my calls for a refund after the tavern put onions on my food and pickles on the chicken sandwich 🤮 I want my refund!!!
They chose the wrong business
I ordered online with Google at a certain address and they apologized for sending the order to another town over amd then proceeded on apologizing for not getting ahold of the place of order at the destination they chose, so then they blamed me for clicking the wrong address after acknowledging minutes before that they did the mess up not me. I do not like giving bad reviews but, after putting the blame on me while they had already blamed themselves I couldn't resist this review.
Waited 2 hours for a birthday dinner
My driver text in Spanish 45 minutes after my order was late saying he couldn't find the restaurant. I had to use Google translate to help him find it. He couldn't find it, so I told him to cancel. Then I tried to call support and couldn't get through so I text support with all the screenshots from the driver. Spent 40 minutes on phone and text trying to get a refund only to get $12 out of$80 of my money back. Why? Because the driver eventually found the restaurant and delivered the stale cold food to my door while I was on the text with support. The worst experience that ruined my mother's birthday. 2 hours after dinner I was looking for a new place to reorder food. I will never use the company again and I will use my word of mouth to make sure others don't either!

I ordered at 3:28pm and you said delivery would be 4:05. by 4:15 you didn't deliver and updated the delivery to 4:50 which is UNREAL. I demanded a refund so I could go immediately to get dinner elsewhere with my family and you insisted that you had no way of stopping the 4:50 delivery to my house. Which mean leaving food in a bag outside with animals - the driver arrived and as I stated WE WERE NOT HOME, and she called, rang the doorbell, call the restaurant,etc. all while YOUR SUPPORT person knew the deal - I want my refund and I don't want the food brought here. I would of given a zero but you can't. They ask for a delivery time which I gave and it showed up early before I was ready and they had to wait. The food was cold the delivery kid was useless and the 30% surcharge (with tip) was nor worth it by any means. After I reviewed the local manager sent me an email which was entitles Re: you have a new detractor. That is bs. They earned that review by not following the directions the asked for. I will never use chownow again. I feel sorry for the restaurants chownow services because chow now will ruin their reputation. I will never order from any restaurant that uses chownow.

Do not fall victim to the sales reps who you will eventually discover lied through their teeth to get you to sign up, then be completely unresponsive after your sales get hijacked. This unethical company steals money by jacking up prices on the customer end, then taking over 35% of sales that they promise will all go to the merchant in addition to the $229 monthly fee that they charge. They don't call them "fees" but something else, which is how they get away with it. Your account will be debited at random times and you will have no idea what it is for. This manipulative company must be investigated before more businesses and customers get robbed! Further action must be taken on this incorporation.

Ordered 115PM FROM CUES BBQ. Had to refresh the order cause Chow Now said they had issues. Delivery time stated 1 hr 10 minutes. We thought this was a mistake or the restaurant was packed. I called Cues at 2pm to inquire. They said order had been ready for 20 minutes and was just picked up. Driver showed at 223pm. I asked why so long on camera and she stated I just got the call from Chow Now at 2pm to pick it up . She worked for Uber Eats. She was surprised I ordered 1 Hour earlier. Chow now said sorry cold food is acceptable cause we told you it would be 1 hr 10 minutes to deliver. Do not order from Chow Now. Im fighting the charge for 40 minute cold Nachos, Fries, Sandwich and room temp salad and chicken. The risk if getting sick is great from Chow Now

Went to make an order at a local Thai restaurant and then needed to cancel the order. The order total was $15 and when I contacted ChowNow after waiting over 20 minutes, I was told that they cannot refund if the order had already been made...which is a strange policy considering the wait times to get a hold of anyone in customer service. I ended up contacting the restaurant directly and got everything resolved. Don't bother calling this company if you need a refund because they will do whatever they can to not process it. Save some time, call the restaurant directly and DO NOT pay through ChowNow.

If I could give them 0 stars I would… this company is very unprofessional and the surcharge they charge just to order through the app is absolutely ridiculous the hidden fees are absurd. Please do not order through this app. Your card will be compromised and the surcharges are unreal protect yourself. Chownow is a money hungry scamming company.

This company is unethical and unresponsive. I was able to talk to a live agent when entering into the "partner" line. The customer line you will be left on hold until you hang up. That should tell you the type of business.
They DO NOT deliver, they do not provide refunds. Their staff are not well trained. The young girl on the phone stated, okay well let me call the restaurant and Uber to see what happened, call you back in 10minutes. It's sort of comical that a business like this has lasted more than a year.

I used this online platform to order food for pick-up. An advertisement was available that sold a "membership." and a discount. I visit this particular establishment frequently, so a "membership" made sense. After my on-line order was cancelled twice, I went into the restaurant to place my order, and the person who took my order had no idea of any "membership" arrangement.
I realized the membership meant if I used ChowNow only. Since I usually go in to eat at this place, and the "membership" was only for to-go orders I wanted to cancel (this was within 1 hour of getting home with my food). I had a receipt with the ChowNow receipt, invoice, and phone number on it. When I called customer service to request (or demand) a refund, none of those numbers would bring up the transaction. They first told me to call the establishment, and on a subsequent call, they refused to refund.
All I have gotten is the run-around and an extremely frustrating customer service experience. ChowNow uses deceptive and misleading practices, and I will avoid using this platform again.

Order not received. After 20 minutes hold with support. The rep said that she would file a request for refund. days later, I followed by a their form email... crickets. You cannot reach anyone by any means. A hold on the phone about 30 minutes with no answer. Sad joke of a business.
Chow Now ignores errant drivers for 1.5 hours
Chow Now's ability to put the blame on the restaurant when their driver disappears with my order for 1.5 hours is unparalleled. There's also 0 recourse to actually get my money back if the food just doesn't show up or is so cold/luke warm as to be inedible. The restaurant won't refund because they did their part. It's on Chow Now to correct their own mistake.

Hard to believe any company could be worse than DoorDash, but as another reviewer said, ChowNow is more like ChowNever. It’s been more than two hours since I ordered my food and it was never delivered. They have been texting me giving me a run-around for over an hour since I asked where my food was since it was never delivered, and they still have not redelivered the food. They also have not refunded.
Not sure why any restaurant would contract with this absolutely terrible service. This is the worse customer service I’ve ever received.
Chownow is actually ChowNever…
The chownow people never saw my food delivery until the food had been ready for over an hour at the restaurant and we contacted them! After an unsatisfactory text exchange we opted to get a refund and finally ate something we made ourselves at 10pm. Then the texts continued to come in after 12am when we were sleeping. Not a good business model!
