I’ve ordered from chow now a couple times but I ordered Jan 30th to be sent to my friends . $70 worth of cupcakes . They didn’t get delivered but it wasn’t all their fault. I contacted customer support and talked with Kyle! Very nice and helpful.they are refunding my card no problems ! I will def use them again!!!
Extremely unreliable
Extremely unreliable, on two occasions food said delivered but never received extremely frustrating!!! Customer Service speaks broken English extremely difficult to comprehend. NEVER USE AGAIN!!!
$17 order $3 tip
$17 order $3 tip, I pay with my debit and there’s no mention of a fee. My card is charged an additional $4, making the total $24. I was charged about 30% for the “convenience” of ordering online. 🤦♂️ Plus they got go my order wrong. Never again!
They charged my credit card and then never delivered my food
I ordered a delivery of food through ChowNow. My credit card was charged and the restaurant received and made my order and then waited for two hours for a driver that never came. I finally had to call the restaurant and drive to get my own order. ChowNow support gave me the run around and would not refund my delivery fees or the tip I had agreed to for the driver that never came. I will never use then again.
Horrible
Horrible. They send me coupons every week, but never honor them. So crummy.i will admit that they’ve gotten better because the first time we used them, the orders wouldn’t even go through for at least 45 minutes after the order was placed.
Insanely bad app
Insanely bad app. You can't save your phone number and you get stuck in a constant loop of being unable to complete an order. Worthless rubbish. Doesn't seem very forthcoming about potential fees. Just call the restaurant instead, skip these clowns.
I just can't figure out how anyone can be this bad at designing a web app in 2024. It's almost impressive given the simplicity of the requirements/user success.
Actually terrible service
Actually terrible service. Impossible to reach in the event of a mistake or messed up timetable, can't contact the driver, and a huge delivery charge to do so.

I ordered my meal and it was confirmed at 5:23 pm. The eta was 6:26 pm. I had not heard anything and called the support phone number at 6:43 pm. The rep told me the driver was at the restaurant picking up the order. I looked on Google maps and the drive time was only 5 minutes. I gave them 40 minutes to account for any traffic delays. I then contacted support again at 7:45 via chat and they told me the order was canceled. While waiting, the support tech contacted the restaurant and the driver had picked up the order. They then told me the would be processed in 3-5 days and that they would give me a $10 credit for the inconvenience. I asked if I would need to chase that food down also and then find out that they got to use my money for another 3-5 days. If I could give them less stars, I would. I am heading back to Doordash.
ChowNow not deleting my account!
I used the service once and not thrilled so I wanted to delete the account. This required contacting customer service for ChowNow, and after jumping through a few hoops, my request was DENIED because I don’t live in a particular state. Why can’t I delete my account for something I don’t want to use??????
Never again
Never again! Ordered from Restaurant I can literally see from my balcony. Got a text from the driver saying she arrived. Texted back saying I’m coming down (I live on second floor in a condo), got there in 30 seconds only to see a car driving away saying the food order was soaked (our building has a large covered area by front door which is locked via security code so not sure why anything would have been “soaked”). Last night I placed an order from the local Bamboo restaurant. Delivery confirmed at 4:09 pm. Delivery at 4:51 was set.
Nothing came. Then I get a text. Road problems, can't get there. I didn't see any...
I kept getting texts can't find you. I tried to help and also said that's not near me.
By 5:20 they offered to leave at the complex mailbox! I said no. So I called Chow Now and spoke to a Marvin(?) Who canceled my order. I stood outside in 32° weather waiting and finally said by now the food is cold and I don't want it.
At 5:30 > get a call from the restaurant. I can hear the driving ranting in a foreign language. Who needs this garbage when your spending over $80 on food? I'll never use them again and stoll waiting for my refund. I was also told customerservice would send am email I have yet to receive.

Scam, money hungry and harassment. Charge me for 3 months and never launched my site.

I used their service to order from a local restaurant on November 5, 2023. My order was missing items. Context: I ordered a seafood boil with shrimp, crab legs, muscles, potatoes, and eggs. My order was missing the muscles and crab legs.
I contacted the restaurant three times that night. Each time I was informed that a manager would return my phone call to discuss this issue. After the third time I reached out to ChowNow to resolve the issue.
ChowNow informs me that refunds cannot be processed without the restaurants approval. And, apparently, there is no remedy in place for situations where contacting a restaurant may be difficult.
I am writing this review to warn all customers: DO NOT USE CHOWNOW's THIRD-PARTY SERVICE. Their service may be beneficial to restaurants--they are not beneficial to consumers.

I ordered food through ChowNow.. I left the driver a clear message with my apt # say deliver food to me ,directly hand food to me. I get a message saying my food was delivered but I never received my order😡 what kind of people do you guys have working for y’all?? I spent 52$ on my order just to not receive it.. I’ll never order through them again

They have terrible customer service. Where we are, many of the restaurants use ChowNow for delivery. So if we can't pick up, we're stuck with them or paying more through an app. Tonight we ordered food that never arrived. Then we had to hunt on ChowNow website and app to even find how to get help. After that it took 40 minutes for their customer support to come into the chat. They did agree to refund. And tried to say the issue was our phone number was wrong. Then how were we getting their customer support texts? It's the same number as the order phone number! Needless to say, we'll just be contacting restaurants by phone and picking up ourselves!
Just want to order food and need to use…
Just want to order food and need to use ChowNow. Fine. But, I need a verification code to log in. Fine again. I'll wait...and wait...and wait. Nothing! Ugh, I'll request a new code and then request another. Twenty minutes later and cannot place an order. Nothing in my inbox or any spam folders. This is a terrible, bush-league service that has no business being in the online business. If I could leave a worse rating, then I would. Any restaurant partnering with them will lose business.
Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service. Put in an order for our team at work, reached out when the order was 15 minutes late to find out that apparently the restaurant was closed as they had never acknowledged the order.....Restaurant being closed not their fault of course but to not follow up with the customer that the order wasn't acknowledged shows a true lack of caring for the customer
Chow now cannot be trusted
Chow now cannot be trusted to provide consistent delivery service. They use random drivers they know nothing about. If a driver decides they don’t feel like making a delivery or just wants the food they are tasked with delivering, they simply keep it. They have already been paid and have your tip. They claim they delivered and it is their word against the customer. I’ll never use them again

I ordered through the restaurant website I was charged an outrageous delivery fee for a delivery less than 2 miles away from my job I left specific notes to have the delivery driver text me when he was at my place of work. I waited 45 minutes for the delivery driver so when I called about not receiving my order they proceeded to tell me my lunch was returned to the restaurant. I never received a text I explained they asked if I wanted it redelivered by a different driver I said no I wasted my whole lunch waiting for my delivery and it never came so I asked them for a refund and now I’m jumping through hoops for that. It should not be my problem when the delivery driver never let me know my food was here just a text from chow now telling me my food was on its way
