Outstanding end of lease cleaning team in caste hill got full bond back

This company was problematic and unprofessional from the start and is undeserving of it’s near 5-star google rating. We booked an “End of Lease Cleaning with Checklist” for $580, paid a 10% deposit and then the cleaners did not show because they did not actually book us in due to an apparent system glitch. Yes, they eventually apologised for mismanaging our booking and managed to still come on the day, but only after we stood our ground. Then, they did not follow a physical checklist and because I was present for most of the cleaning, they almost relied on me to delegate their own agreed tasks to them (some of which were left incomplete because I left prior to their completion and had assumed they would finish the job I paid for). All of these issues were manageable and to be fair they were willing to come back to clean areas they missed if we provided evidence. However, the most disgusting parts of the experience were that they broke the balcony sliding door they cleaned by running it off the tracks and slamming it closed (which required brute force to open and fix) and did not attempt to fix or report, and they left our oven on – which was left heating unattended for over 24 hours. They claim that they did not touch the oven (even though it was part of the checklist and the switch was on the dash that they did clean) so therefore imply that it turned itself on.

This company have refused to take any responsibility or accountability for the genuine feedback we have provided as paying customers just because it is negative, and are instead more interested in providing vague statements that attempt to shift the blame back onto the consumer. They also refuse to entertain the idea of even a partial refund for all the troubles and potentially severe safety risks incurred, as well as the electricity that was used to power the oven for >24 hours. They are nothing short of negligent and do not deserve your hard-earned money.
