Face/neck lift disaster
I had a face/neck lift Aug. 7th, 2024. Doctor Zins, who is a highly esteemed plastic surgeon was in charge of my surgery. BIGGEST regret in my life! A yr and a half later and Im still suffering from the mess he made of me. My submandibular gland is swollen, which happened a short while after surgery, yet Zins says it was not caused by surgery. I look like I have a goiter on the side of my neck! I still have a feeling of being strangled from the inside out bc my neck bands were pulled so tight. Yet my jowls are falling already. I have constant pain in the base of my skull and the perimeter of my skull is STILL numb, as are my ears. I look like crap! But even worse, I FEEL like crap. I have not had a sound nights sleep since my surgery. Ive seen more than a few doctors and the only one who offered to help me gave me a scrip for gabapentin and made an appt for a nerve block in my head to stop the pain. Some of the doctors I saw offered to inject botox into my neck bands to hopefully ease up the feeling of being strangled. I appreciated it all BUT I DID NOT get this surgery thinking the outcome would be botox and meds and nerve blocks. Zins offered to do a revision but told me if he shaved the submandibular glands that there could be a lot of bleeding and said that surgery has a high morbidity rate. Are you KIDDING me? YOU or your fellow or assistants who YOU ALLOWED to work on me, so really its ALL ON YOU DOCTOR ZINS..Youve probably taken more than a few yrs off my life. NO WAY would I EVER let this man touch me again! He's made a lot of face lift patients very happy. Like I said he's highly esteemed..but he screwed me up..so I cant exactly praise the work he does. My husband and I went to ombudsman at Clinic and the lady assigned to us told me they were negotiating on either a revision (I SAID IT LOUD AND CLEAR..NO WAY) or the $13,800 we paid for the mess! In the end they decided we get NOTHING! I SERIOUSLY THINK THE PATIENT GOING TO OMBUDSMAN SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE NEGOTIATING. Because im sure some of these doctors stick together like glue when another 1 is lying, so the negotiating will go their way. This doctor lied to me right from the start. We've left the clinic. That they choose to protect a surgeon who ruined my life is beyond my comprehension. BEWARE if you go to plastic surgery! PS calander dates do not even go bk to 2024 so I had to use 2025.
Our experience with my grandmother…
Our experience with my grandmother after her stroke was deeply disappointing and, at times, unacceptable.
While a few individual staff members were compassionate and attentive, the system as a whole failed us.
Communication was chaotic. We received conflicting information from different staff members, there was no continuity, and no one seemed fully accountable for her care. We constantly had to chase people down just to understand what was happening.
Care coordination was extremely poor. Therapies were inconsistent, follow-through was lacking, and we had to repeatedly push just to get basic things done. It felt like we were managing her care instead of the hospital.
We were also pressured into medical decisions without clear explanations or adequate time to process options, which is completely inappropriate for a family navigating a stroke recovery.
The most frustrating part was discharge. Once she left, we were essentially told “you’re on your own.” We were given little to no guidance and left to figure out complex decisions like hospice vs. therapy without real support.
There are good people working here, but the lack of accountability, communication, and coordination at a system level is a serious problem. Families deserve far better during critical moments like this.
Extremely frustrating and disappointing
I chose Cleveland Clinic expecting professionalism and coordinated care, but my experience was the complete opposite. From the very beginning, the system felt disorganized — getting a simple appointment confirmed turned into multiple calls and still no clear answers.
What made things worse was the lack of communication. Messages went unanswered for days, and when I finally spoke to someone, I was transferred around without anyone taking responsibility. It honestly felt like patients are just numbers in a system rather than people who need care.
Billing was another major issue. I received charges that were never clearly explained, and trying to resolve them was nearly impossible. Every department seemed disconnected, and no one could give a straight answer.
Overall, the experience was stressful, confusing, and far from what you’d expect from a reputed institution. I would not recommend it unless you are prepared to deal with poor coordination and unnecessary frustration.
CCF refuses to do anything
Every doctor I have seen at CCF doesn't seem to know where I should go to receive any care. My foot turned blue and I went to Vascular the notes said I have blockage, and I was told that it might be a spine issue and asked for a referral for the Spine Center and was told to call even though I am nonverbal for 10 years. We don't do that. Need a PEG tube replaced, and the doctor wanted to put in a temporary tube WITHOUT removing the one that has a stopper in my stomach. We don't do that here. Saw an ENT today and he asked me what I want to do for a painful Lipoma and offered Gabapentin that does nothing. I give up CCF is worse than the VA and all they do is nothing. I'm beyond disgusted and losing my mind.
ThisPREPAY POLICY is regarding the newer prepay…
This is regarding the newer prepay policy. This is crazy to ask people to prepay such large amounts when service has not even been given yet and it has not been turned into the insurance compnay for payment so it is an "estimate" of what they think you will owe and want you to pay it up front before you even receive service. This is crazy and really comes down to another way to make money at the expense of the customer. Ridiculous
Extremely Disappointing Care & Communication
I am a patient at Cleveland Clinic in West Palm Beach and have had a deeply frustrating experience that I feel compelled to share.
I was placed on blood pressure medication in early February and was asked to monitor my BP closely. When my symptoms worsened after a dosage increase — extreme fatigue, low energy, and diarrhea — I reached out to my doctor's office on February 25th via both phone and MyChart. I received no response. I followed up again on the 26th. The nurse later claimed she had called me three times and left a voicemail, yet there is no record of any missed call or voicemail on my iPhone — despite customer service being able to reach me successfully on both of those same days when tested.
With no guidance from my doctor and worsening symptoms, I had no choice but to reduce my dosage on my own on the 27th. No one should have to make that decision without medical guidance.
I finally secured a telehealth appointment for March 6th. I completed the extensive pre-check-in process in full. At 8:55am — five minutes before my appointment — I called the office because I had not received a call-in link. I was then informed that the doctor had called in sick and my appointment had been cancelled. I received zero notification of this. To make matters worse, I was told my rescheduled appointment would be May 6th — two full months away.
When I asked to speak with a manager to share my feedback, the customer service representative told me she didn't know who the manager was.
This is not the standard of care patients deserve. I will be seeking a new provider.

I was released from there care with a blood clot in my lung and infection in my lung and a blood clot in my leg.ms.Reem Imtiaz thought I needed no help people reached out to her never heard back from her. This Dr. Picks and chooses who she will help. She finally shows up I say something to her she tells me let me think what to give u . Next thing I know she's on an emergency call( her I can hardly believe it and I am discharged with some antibiotics. Who discharges some one that messed up oh and a new med a blood thinner. Where is follow up appointment with her which I never would have went any way wouldn't have went any way., not to her. The only thing good about Cleveland clinic was there nurses their aids and the wonderful woman who has worked her ass of cleaning for years. Girls and a man nurse he knows who he is and the girls all know who I'm talking about .I love them isn't it sad when they know more than the wreck of a doctor. This is so many times I've been treated this way. Run over by car. No more I'm switching my insurance again enough is enough. She is just one of the many washed up Drs. That have been there to long. Reem I wouldn't let my dog go to u. But I'm telling u now if something happens to me don't think Cleveland clinic will not have a major lawsuit over u Reem and ur pathetic attempt to be a Dr.
Impossible to schedule an appointment
Impossible to schedule an appointment. Inept bureaucracy receives referrals and then fails to open folder where request is located. Necessary to learn the CCs computer filing system and explain where referrals are located. Calls to C. Ombudsman are not answered and the CC e mail for complainst is not operational. Probably overloaded. Here in Florida, better to go to the airport and fly to NY or Chicago for medical attention or wait to die. CC is a mess.
Fraud charges
Cleveland Clinic Florida is one big scam company. They incorrectly billed for my visit so I have to pay a co-payment. They're unwilling to help to correct THEIR mistake. They always make you jump through so many hoops so one would give up and pay whatever bogus charges they charged you. FRAUD company. STAY AWAY from Cleveland Clinic Florida.
Cleveland Clinic prepay scam/poor service
Have had appt. with nuerologist for awhile, they have asked for pre visit info which I submitted, Insurance info etc.
Have been receiving EMails asking for prepayment, even though I have insurance coverage, they wanted from $40 to $715.65 prepayment -- depending which EMail you read.
Appt is tomorrow, I did not prepay, they called and said Doc is not available, need to resched -- good thing I did not prepay, would never get my money back.
This is a old Cleve Clinic trick, did it before. They send your money back and a year later send you a bill.
I'll go someplace else, scam artists.
Robbed
Make sure your loved one doesn't have anything valuable on them when they're admitted/staying at the Cleveland Clinic. My uncle was admitted there for a stint, a pretty easy procedure. He left the Palm Beach Gardens Hospital/Cleveland Clinic with a new stint and with Covid. At 84, he dodged Covid for 5 years. Two days at Cleveland Clinic, he caught it.
A day or two later, he was slumped on his stairs unable to breathe. He called 911 and was admitted to the hospital's ER.
We was there for several days, being moved around from room to room and in and out of ICU. Somewhere along the way, his Rolex watch went missing. It was sentimental to him. We have photos of him wearing it at the hospital, his friends noted he was wearing it. Then it was gone. The hospital tried to suggest we took it.
There have been news reports of this happening. Just be warned. They have no procedures for securing valuables upon intake.
News reports from late 2024 and 2025 detail multiple incidents of theft at or involving Cleveland Clinic properties, including a valet who took a patient's car on a joyride and an employee who stole fentanyl. Other reports from previous years mention that patient valuables, such as wedding rings and cash, have gone missing.
NEGLIGENCE
Merry Christmas to Dr. Tong at Cleveland Clinic. I'm still paralyzed after your negligence during my surgery (even though you said it would "pass in a few days"!).
I've lived in a wheelchair for 4 years since your mistake!
Don't take yourself or your family to Cleveland Clinic! You will be just a number in their conveyor belt....
Not safe
A dangerous, abhorrent working environment for patients
At the Euclid Avenue hospital in…
At the Euclid Avenue hospital in Cleveland, the staff informed me that the cash price for a calcium scan in October 2025 was $65, as opposed to the standard insurance processing fee. However, I was unexpectedly charged $95. Despite my inconvenience of traveling across the city to their Lutheran facility to obtain this test, the hospital should have honored the cash price. University Hospital provides this service at no cost. The finance department at Cleveland Clinic stated that staff quotes will not be honored. Despite numerous complaints and poor reviews, the Better Business Bureau still rates them an A+. The Cleveland Clinic Ombudsman Office has no authority to address the accounting department. While I am deeply disappointed with the CFO at Cleveland Clinic due to ethical and legal reasons, I am satisfied with the medical care provided by the doctors. I received my truth in billing approximately 1-2 hours after the procedure. The doctor received a 5-star rating, while the CFO and accounting department received a 1-star rating. This incident highlights the concerning trend of medical care facilities prioritizing cost-cutting measures over business ethics. These facilities may overcharge customers while simultaneously collecting insurance premiums.
WILL NEVER AGAIN RETURN TO CEVELAND CLINIC
First time I go to Cleveland clinic, and it will be the last. They charge me as outpatient hospital visit instead of office visit that brings a hefty bill. My insurance called to see if they would change it and they refused. Not only did they charge over 1k just to speak to doctor, but they also tried pushing a sonogram to be done at clinic that also has a hefty fine. They didn't mention I could go to imaging center and only pay co-pay. On top of everything else, they received by results and have not bothered to call me to discuss the results. Horrible experience never again. You live and learn
All they care about is money
Cleveland Clinic is all about the money. Patients come second, well...more like 3rd, 4th, or 5th. I was committed to riding the Velosano, no more. I will no longer be a part of this hospital that cares so little about patients. All about money.
The neurosurgery team here is amazing
The neurosurgery team here is amazing. However one specific team member let me know as he was shaving my head before surgery, that id be unlikely to have children in the future/its something i should've considered before surgery
Constant, intrusive advertising
I will never use this clinic due to its constant, intrusive advertising
Cleveland Clinic charges patients for their Overhead
I have been a resident and patient of Cleveland Clinic for over 7 years and during those 7 years I have had 4 different PCP because all the doctors leave this organization. My last visit in 2025 to Dr Arif Ishmael should have been covered by my insurance as a "Specialist visit" but the clinic charge me as an outpatient service and charged a facility fee so my insurance didn't approve the visit. I have tried disputing the charge to no avail so I am left with no choice but to tell everyone of my misfortune and terrible experience. My credit is now in jeopardy because I refuse to pay their overhead. They charge their patients a facility fee for visiting any of their facilities. Be warned and go to HCA, Jupiter Medical, anywhere but Cleveland Clinic!
