Outstanding support for a complex case
I came to Commercial Finance Network with what I knew was a challenging situation: obtaining a mortgage as non-British nationals relocating to the UK from abroad. It's not a straightforward case by any measure, and I wasn't sure what to expect.
My case manager Lindsey was absolutely brilliant. She worked tirelessly on my behalf, and when the case got more complicated along the way, she didn't miss a beat and kept pushing to secure the deal. Her dedication and expertise made all the difference.
I couldn't be happier with the outcome or the experience and would return without hesitation and recommend Commercial Finance Network to anyone, especially those navigating more complex mortgage situations.

Specialised in expat mortgages
We had an excellent experience with Lindsey and Claire at Expat Mortgages UK/CFN. We have an international/expat situation and we’re looking for a broker specialised in this which they definitely are. Lindsey was able to secure us an offer at an extremely good interest rate with a UK high street lender. We initially got declined (on a technicality around documentation) and Lindsey fought extremely hard with an appeal which then lead to approval. We had initially been working with a different broker and company who were also supposed to be specialised in expat mortgage, but were very slow and only found one offer for us. The day we initially contacted Lindsey she got us an AIP the same day and we did our full application the next day. The offer was with a different lender and much better than what the other broker had found. So I feel like we really got value from our fee, securing a specialised product at a good interest rate, has saved us a lot of money in the long term. Communication was excellent and Lindsey and Claire always responded immediately throughout the process. Could not recommend them more highly.

Amazing service from start to end.
Being a first time buyer, I was dubious about which brokers to go with at the start of the process, I am so glad that I chose CFN.
From the very start they kept in contact with us, keeping us updated at every step and even though we had some setbacks they had the solution almost instantly for us.
We want to say a massive thank you to Gemma and Kate for all their help and support through this process.

I am so happy with the service I received from CFN. Dil and Claire were amazing. Even after receiving the mortgage offer, they were still on hand to help me out with any queries. I inevitably had issues with the solicitors and Claire was always on hand to chase them and give a kick up the backside. I will 100% be coming back to them when the time comes to re-mortgage. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Title: Very Disappointing Experience – Would Not Recommend
I entered into this franchise model with genuine expectations of support, structure, and a viable business opportunity. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing.
Despite paying an upfront licence fee, ongoing monthly fees, and additional payments for leads, I did not receive the level of support or business viability that was represented at the outset. The leads provided did not generate meaningful results, and there was a lack of practical operational guidance.
The contractual terms are heavily weighted in favour of the franchisor, including long-term commitments and significant financial exposure. When difficulties arose, there was little flexibility or understanding shown.
In my experience, this model carries high financial risk with limited realistic return. I would strongly advise anyone considering joining to carry out extensive independent due diligence and seek legal advice before signing anything.

Entering into a licence with CFN is a business-to-business commercial arrangement, governed by a detailed written agreement that is provided well in advance of signing. We actively encourage all prospective licensees to take independent legal advice and conduct full due diligence before committing. Moving home made easier…
From the minute we contacted Commercial finance network we had nothing but good communication! We needed a day one mortgage as we were moving back to the UK after living in NZ for 4 years. Louise was there to answer any questions we had and put our minds at ease with the whole process. Moving back from NZ and wanting to buy a house was made so much easier thanks to the team. When applying for the mortgage Gemma kept us in the loop at each stage and supported us with any further requests for information! Excellent advice and service
As an ex-pat I had to find a new mortgage and was totally out my depth. After several hours research I found Commercial Finance Network and, despite my very limiting personal circumstances, they found me a lender and now im saving hundreds of pounds a month on my mortgage.
I find paying half of the service up front, and half at the end a very mutually respectful way to work.
In particular, I found Craig to be very very knowledgable of the mortgage business and I was afforded very tailored advice, and he answered my many questions with lots of patience.
The rest of the staff kept me up to date throughout, and it really took the stress and pressure off the situation.

Fantastic Experience from start to finish
So glad I went with CFN as I'd been let down by 2 other brokers already and thought there was no hope. My circumstances were pretty complicated but the guys at CFN spent a lot of time upfront to fully understand my situation and then found a lender who was happy to accept my mortgage application.
From the application being submitted I got my offer in less than 3 weeks and then we completed on the remortgage another 5 weeks after that.
I'm delighted to say Emma updated me every step of the way with progress on the application and was always available at the end of phone to calm my nerves and reassure me.
I can't sign the praises of CFN high enough and am recommending them to all my friends and family as they've also saved me a fortune on my monthly payments.

Beware of this Terrible Morgtage Broker . Always lie to catch you and when you paid fees upfront they dont help. I never used them before they total lie . They used West One loan company which is worse company to work with . Avoid Avoid Avoid and do not use this company.Time wasters. Very very bad serivce. They took money upfront and then keep asking for more information all the time and after 3 months will give you bad news.I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with this company . and I can not emphasize enough how awful my experinece was . From start to finish , they lack displayed as shocking lack of professionalism and managment. The process was riddle with delays,misinformaiton and hidden fees taht seemed to pop out of nowhere. They always work with bad and rubbish lender. Do not waster your hard earn money. Very bad managment. I wasted nearly £1000 as per their advice and false hopes and in the end did not get secure loan. Absoulty joke. One of the worse and nightmare company . Please think 100 times before use them. Useless. Bad mortgage broker and rubbish outcome after many weeks. I wish i could give them less then one star. Every time you call them they will say its nearly done but nothing been done and in the end all refused. They do not deal direct with mortgage lender as they use another rubbish middle man comapny . Worse experience. Never again. What was most infuriating was their complete disregard for transparency . Please stay of this useless company. Do yourself a favour and find a reputable mortage broker that values your time, money and peace of mind. I was struggling already very bad and this company force me to waste my money on valuation and documents . They charge application fees and say we will keep trying to get you mortgage or laon but they dont help . We genuinely welcome all customer feedback & strive to deliver excellent customer service at all times, which as you will see from our overall review rating of 4.9 we consistently achieve & our customers continue to enjoy our service & recommend us.
Therefore, it is naturally very disappointing that you seek to tarnish our excellent reputation with your review, especially when we have already provided you with a detailed personal letter giving you the reasons for your declined applications. We reiterate the reasons for the declines were unfortunately totally outside of our control & we have evidenced that we did everything possible in an attempt to secure the mortgage for you over multiple applications.
It seems rather odd that you have given us such negative feedback & tell everyone to avoid using us, when you indeed have continued to use us multiple times over the years. We note that almost every review you provide to companies online is 1 star & all very similar wording as you have provided for us. It seems that unless a company agrees to your unrealistic & totally unjust demands for refunds then you publicly trash them. In our instance, not only did you insist upon a full refund, but also expected us to reimburse you for fees paid to 3rd parties for works they completed, along with expecting us to pay your loan interest payments & even pay compensation for your time! We can assure you that we have invested / lost considerably more money from these applications than yourself.
Despite providing you with Decisions In Principle (DIPs) & ensuring you fit the lenders criteria, NO mortgage can be guaranteed until it is Offered & even then, all the legal aspects completed. It is always the Underwriters prerogative to request additional supporting documentation as an application progresses, especially in complex cases such as yours, so this can never be known nor accurate timescales provided upfront.
Our fees are extremely competitive in the market for the service we provided & have not been increased for 5+ years now which is exceptional. Additionally, our Terms of Business are signed by all customers before any applications are submitted, clearly state that our upfront Admin fee is strictly non-refundable. All lender fees were communicated to you upfront in writing, excluding any ad-hoc document requests which Underwriters may have requested as the application progressed. Additionally, the lenders’ Underwriters choose which documents they wish to see & invariably more documents can be requested based on the circumstances & contents. Lender Underwriters have to be 100% comfortable to be able to lend & so no guaranteed decision or offer can be made until this is the case & we certainly never made any guaranteed assurances to you.
We did everything possible to try & get your applications successfully completed & constantly chased up all parties involved & made considerable investment in terms of days & days of staff hours on your applications, so to suggest that we are only interested in application fees, when we only actually make money from successfully completed applications, shows a lack of common sense. Had we only been interested in making money from the upfront Admin fee we take as you suggest, then we would have simply walked after the first declined application as most brokers would have. Instead, we continued to invest many more days in staff hours to seek to secure you the funding.
Finally, to suggest we are not transparent in our customer communications is totally inaccurate since all our clients are given direct access to our WiiN portal where they can view the latest status of all applications 24/7, which is in addition to direct access to your Dedicated Case Manager & the pro-active case updates we provide by both phone & email.
We are as equally disappointed with the declined applications as we pride ourselves on success, but we feel it very necessary to accurately report the true circumstances & events.
