This magazine is filled with competitions, as well as personal stories, which I love reading. People really do win competitions and hearing about their excitement in doing so is really inspirational. Lots of inhouse comps too which are always fun to enter.

I have been a subscriber to compers news, and compers express for many years. In Jan 2023 I responded and subscribed to a promotion offer. Now having what I thought was 3 subscriptions for various avenues for participations to competitions. Unfortunately personal issues meant that entry to these was limited, and didn’t realise I had a duplicated my subscription to compers express. I realised this in Sept 2023 when increasing my hobby participation.
Contacting Warner publications (parent company) with a request for a refund, this was flatly declined as it was 'Company policy' not to issue refunds.
Policy isn't law, but they wouldn't move on the issue. Did consider taking the matter further, but I had other priorities to sort, so I cancelled my subscriptions. The amount involved isn't great at all, but it's the principal. Loyalty means absolutely nothing.

Been a member for decades probably since the late 1980's , but every year, despite paying my membership fee they unsubscribe me. I lose a months comping while trying to resolve the problem and every time they say it wont happen again ! This year they haven't even acknowledged my emails , very disappointed. But I love their magazine so what can I do ? :((

I think the good olds days of winning like we used to as gone. You have social media FB ,Twitter etc that's free Yes! But compete with thousands on occasions all after this one prize. If you want to win without putting any effort at all in you will never win anything, anywhere .Ive been a member of Compers News for yrs and I wouldn't pay if I didn't think worth while. Half of subscribers don't even enter 'Chatterbox' the members only area where prizes are up everyday. And it's so much more than a Competition Mag it's inspirational 'You can do it!' And lots have. You also have the 'In house' comps that come with the mag to win prizes . This mag is full of information that Compers need especially new Compers. And like minded people can just chat or discuss or share links where to find those comps we would all like to win.

I have been a subscriber to Compers News since 2009. I look forward to receiving my copy every month, the stories and letters from other Compers describing their prizes and winning experiences is heartwarming.
The online members own forum Chatterbox is a constant source of advice and chat about all things comping and even life itself.
I have won many prizes from competitions posted on the forum. Also if going through a lean spell there are many User run competitions which are in themselves low entry and provide the chance to get that winning thrill.
I know there are many free coming sites out there but I feel my subscription is great value to be part of this friendly helpful community of like minded people run by Steve, Matt and their small team

I love my magazine hitting the doormat each month! There is also the digital version available a few days earlier to get in for the new posting comps. The Chatterbox community is fantastic. It gives great support, early notice of new comps. It also gives great advice regarding the best way to follow promotors rules and regulations so that you don’t fall foul and lose that great win which may be around the corner. My yearly wins far exceed the outlay on the mag which is why I continue to subscribe year on year.

I am a new subscriber to Compers News and have already received an enormous amount of help, advice and encouragement from its members, not to mention a great welcome!

Many of the members are seasoned Compers, who are so generous with their advice and encouragement.

I absolutely love the Chatterbox forum (members chat forum where you will always find info about upcoming comps and new comps). It's also brilliant to hear news of members wins that I find very encouraging in my own quest to win comps. I have personally found this invaluable and certainly something that you cannot find on social network platforms.

In my opinion, the small monthly subscription fee provides excellent value for money - I have already had a lovely win that covers my subscription fee for about the next 10 years!

Compers News is Brilliant!

Compers News is an invaluable comping tool - you’ve only got to read the vast list of members prizes EVERY month - so inspiring. Part of the subscription entitles you to belong to the Chatterbox members only community forum where members contribute with competitions, advice and friendship. Members and the very committed Editor Steve scour the shops and internet and are usually the first to post new competitions - often before on other public forums. This early info allows you to enter early on and many many of us have won this way - I cannot imagine my comping hobby without Chatterbox and visit regularly - as new comps appear throughout the day.

Compers News and Chatterbox continue to be an invaluable source of information for those who are serious about this hobby. You get out what you put in and it is possible to win seven days a week if you are prepared to put in the effort. Effort does not always equal time. Compers News and Chatterbox will give you the edge if you make good use of all of the information available.

A brilliant magazine backed up by a fantastic website. Pops monthly through the letterbox with pages that list upcoming competitions to enter in various ways. Also inside the magazine are some 'in-house' competitions to while away your time with. Packed with advice and inspirational stories as well as the new competitions for the months ahead. Once a member you have access to their website where members use the forum to bring brand new competitions to your notice. OK - the number of comps that you enter is up to you and there can be some months when you don't have a win, but the excitement and anticipation is always there.

Don’t waste your money. Years ago when competitions were won by postal entries only, I had some pretty substantial wins. Not so long ago, with renewed enthusiasm I subscribed to this magazine for a year and won nothing. It wasn’t for the want of trying. It’s not a cheap magazine and a lot of the competitions can be found online nowadays without having to pay for them.

Fantastic magazine full of helpful inspiration. Like anything you need to put in the effort to win, but once you do you will be hooked, it is such a rewarding hobby. I have been a member for many years and made some lovely friends along the way and won some fantastic items.
I love comping and would highly recommend the magazine and forum to help you win too !

Very pleased with the response to my problem regarding a misplaced inhouse gift card . Matt ,in the office explained the exceptional circumstances that have caused the 3/4 month delay. This has been solved eventually and now my card has arrived. Thanks.

Historically, Compers News and Chatterbox was a great source of getting information earlier and giving an edge when finding competitions.

The Mse forums and Lucky Learners mean that the cost of subscription is hard to justify when the information is available elsewhere for free

A great tool if entering competitions is your hobby. Lots of up to date and accurate information in the magazine as well as in house competitions. I have been a member for several years and have won some great prizes (holiday vouchers, things for the home, money can't buy experiences, to name a few) due to information from Compers News or the on-line forum, Chatterbox. The editor is a comper himself which, I think, contributes to a great magazine.

I have subscribed to Compers News for seven years and intend to for years to come.
It helps by alerting me to new competitions, even ones not yet open so I can be an early entrant with better chances of a win.
It helps with advice and support and I like entering Compers News own fun, brain-teasing puzzles each month.
Without it I would only have won a fraction of my prizes - and certainly not my best prize of brilliant seats at the Olympics on Super Saturday.
I can't wait for it to arrive each month!

I get excited every month when the email alerts me to the new on-line magazine & also enjoy the paper copy coming through the post. This magazine has kept me going throughout the highs & lows of comping for many years. It helps me change my outdated ways & progress with the times. I have been a member of Compers News for many years. It’s invaluable to me in so many ways. The competition listings are very well researched so you can rely on the information. The magazine caters to new compers with hints and tips as well as up to date info for us established compers. The linked online forums at Chatterbox are really useful as they are kept up to date on a daily basis by fellow members. Getting a “heads up” about a brand new comp means you can enter before others even know about it. With “instant wins”, this can be very useful. There is a first class community spirit on Chatterbox. I have won many, many excellent prizes over the years and I can thank the information from Compers News for the majority of them. I would never be without it. Worth every penny.

This magazine is the highlight of every month and as soon as it drops through the letterbox I drop everything and spend hours happily working through the competitions. It has the most informative and helpful knowledge of pretty much every comp going and I couldn’t enjoy my hobby without it.
