The website listed the fabric as "pet-friendly" but it's a very pet-vulnerable fabric. We have only one cat, with trimmed claws, and after only one week many pulled strands are already visible just from it climbing on and off it. It's unfortunately probably not going to last very long...

We’d like to offer a bit of context around the Aquaforte™ fabric on your sofa. Our Aquaforte™ fabric is designed to be stain- and liquid-resistant, with a multi-dimensional weave created to support durability and everyday living. That said, like all woven upholstery fabrics, it’s made up of individual yarns. With pets, particularly cats, who are naturally curious and often drawn to textured surfaces, everyday activities such as jumping, kneading, or stretching can sometimes place unexpected pressure on the fabric. In certain situations, this can lead to pulls, even without intentional scratching. Because pet interactions can vary from moment to moment, it isn’t always possible to anticipate how much pressure may be applied, and this type of interaction can occur across upholstery fabrics more broadly.
Our goal is to support everyday living by offering fabrics designed for durability and features like easier maintenance and resistance to spills. At the same time, every pet interacts with furniture in their own way, and even normal, gentle movements can sometimes impact woven fabrics over time. While our Aquaforte™ fabric is made with durability in mind, some natural wear can occur in ways that aren’t always predictable.
