What an incredible trip to Uganda! 🇺🇬

This was my second trip with Craic On and, once again, it didn’t disappoint. Everything was so well organised from start to finish, and you could really see how much thought had gone into making sure everyone had an amazing experience.

A huge thank you to Megan, Chris and Alonso. You were all brilliant throughout the trip and your knowledge made the whole experience even better. I also loved getting to meet another group of great people and share the experience with them.

Uganda itself is such a beautiful country, with incredible wildlife and some of the friendliest people. There were so many memorable moments throughout the trip and I’m so glad I decided to come back for another Craic On adventure.

If you’re thinking about going but feeling a little hesitant, just go for it. You absolutely won’t regret it! ❤️🇺🇬

Trip of a lifetime! This was my 2nd trip with Craic On Travels and I can honestly say they went above and beyond with this Peru trip. Every day of the trip just got better and better. Big shoutout to our hosts Colin and Danna for bringing the constant good vibes and keeping us safe for the whole 2 weeks.
Everything about the trip was so well organised, Colin and Isabelle provided so much information before the trip began and were so quick to reply with answers to any questions in the group chat. Really enjoyed having a local Peruvian guide with us for the entire 2 weeks as she was able to teach us so much about the Peruvian culture and history.
Couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to experience Peru with. Everyone on the trip was so easy to get along with. From the moment we met, it was like we had all been friends for years, I think this was really down to Colin, Isabelle and Danna for making us all feel so at ease before the trip began.
Peru truly was a trip of a lifetime, thank you Craic On Travels for making these experiences possible. Can’t wait to join another trip!

Couldn’t recommend Armeen and Ayla enough. They both went above and beyond from the minute the trip started to make sure everyone was looked after and having the best time.

Armeen was incredibly kind, funny, and genuinely cared about everyone in the group. He made sure we were safe, looked after, and having the best time. He kept us laughing from start to finish, got involved in all the craic, and even impressed us with his amazing singing! He also shared so much about Thailand’s culture and traditions, making the experience even more special. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and you could ask him anything.

Ayla was equally amazing. She was so warm, friendly, and genuinely cared about everyone. She made sure everyone felt included and listened to, and if you had a question or needed anything, she’d have it sorted straight away. She always had a smile on her face and made what must be a tough job look easy.

The two of them honestly made the trip what it was. We had nothing but laughs the whole way through, but at the same time always felt safe, looked after, and well informed. Thanks so much, Armeen and Ayla, for making it such an unforgettable experience!

Craic on travels was definitely an adventure From the busy city of Bangkok to the torrential downpour in koh soc national park. Throughout it all everyone kept positive and enjoyed their time!!

All our accommodation was out of this world and all the transport was definitely some to remember
Our tour leader ayla was the kindest person ever. She helped us with any issues we had and always had a smile on her face
One thing I will say is it would be better if we had more relaxed time in a few places as apposed to all at once at the end
Over all this trip was out of this world and I would never change it
I have gained so many friends, bonds and memories that I will hold with me for the rest of my life

Armeen and Ayla went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after on our trip. Ayla was so kind and caring. Armeen was like a dad making sure we were safe and looked after. We had fun and laughter the whole entire time but also could have asked any question and it was answered. Couldn’t recommend them both enough. 5/5 stars.

Armeen was super kind and made us laugh from the beginning. He’s an amazing singer and was always hands on for any craic we wanted. He always got stuck in and told us all about Thailand’s culture and traditions. He was always on form and all the best to him for his future. Happy Buddha to you always.

Ayla is so friendly and really made everyone feel heard and listened to us all. Her job is hard and she made it look easy. Any questions or queries she would answer there or then. She was so helpful and always super positive. Thank you so much 😊

I went on the Vietnam trip July 2026 and it was an amazing experience. I loved every minute of it! Mi and Fergus was great guides and they both really made the trip

I had an absolutely amazing time with craic on travels in Guatemala. It was my first time going on a group trip so I wasn't sure what to expect but I am so glad I went with Craic on travels, all the destinations blew me away and the people were all so welcoming and such great craic. I've come home with endless memories and I can't wait to go again.

Guatemala is an incredible country, and I met some amazing people on this trip. Everyone was so easy going and got on great together. Acatenango was an unforgettable bucket list experience. I really loved how we had a local guide, Johnathan, accompany us on the hike. He was very supportive and it was helpful to have him translate with the porters. ☺️ 🌋

That being said, I was disappointed by the organisation and transparency of this tour and feel there is room for improvement.

The accommodation was much more basic than expected. None of the hostels had air conditioning, which made the humidity difficult to cope with, and some rooms raised cleanliness concerns especially in El Paradon. I was surprised that booking the accommodation with AC independently would have cost only a few euro more. I stayed an extra night in El Paradon myself and found lovely accomodation that could have accommodated our group if booked in advance and included AC. This really needs to be reviewed for the next trip.

I personally felt the accommodation after Acatenango was misleadingly advertised. The photos from the hostel in Lake Atilan show glamping rooms but our group stayed in basic tents with mattresses on the ground and no proper toilets. As someone who is used to backpacking, usually this would be fine but after such a strenuous hike and intense travel day it would have been nice to atleast have a bed to sleep in (and a functioning toilet).

Overall, the hostel was gorgeous but Craic On should have booked the cabins with AC or facilitated an extra night in Antigua for those doing the hike so they were rested before travelling. I truly believe this little change would have made our experience much more positive.

Important to note also that transfers to and from the airport are not included. Luckily, they were straightforward to book yourself (although a little daunting especially for a solo female arriving at night time).

Finally, although advertised as a 9 day trip, this is not the case. It's really 7 and a half days with lots of free time in the itinerary. The last stop is quite remote so it would have been nice for the company to offer an option of a shuttle back to Antigua or the airport together. Additionally the final day is included in the itinerary, yet our guide was one of the first to leave before 9am, not even ensuring that all members of the trip were checked out or made it on their shuttles.

Overall, Guatemala itself was amazing, but I think clearer communication and more accurate advertising of the accommodation would make this trip a much better experience for future travellers. The concept is great and it's lovely to see a young Irish company doing something like this. Small changes and upgrades would make this trip amazing as it has so much potential. I truly hope this feedback is taken onboard to improve the trip for future travellers. 🌍

Second holiday with craic on. What an experience again.

Had an amazing trip to Uganda. The team was flawless 👏 Chris and Alonso were a fountain of knowledge and a joy to have bringing us around! Megan was such a good trip lead, id follow her around again in a heartbeat ❤️

We had a lovely group in Gautemala. The trip was advertised as 9 days but realistically it was 8 nights and 7 and a half days. While some of the accommodation was very good others were definitely the cheaper options in the hostels with no AC and in one place only thatch as the roof. The meals on the island were also included and they were very nice. Each hostel included breakfast. The hike to the volcano was well organised as was the city tour in San Juan. The internal transport was included and good, but note there is no airport transfers included. Guatemala is a beautiful country and our group had a great time.

I recently travelled to Peru with Craic on Travels in June/July 2026, and it was genuinely the trip of a lifetime.

Over the course of two weeks, we experienced so much of what Peru has to offer. From vibrant cities and beautiful beaches to national parks, dune-bugging and sand boarding in the dunes, trekking through breathtaking mountains on the Salkantay Trek, and, of course, the iconic Machu Picchu, every day brought a new adventure. The itinerary was packed with unforgettable experiences and gave us a real appreciation for the country's diversity, culture, adventure, and natural beauty.

A special shout-out goes to our local guide, Danna, who was nothing short of exceptional! She was kind, generous with her time, endlessly energetic, and incredibly knowledgeable about Peru's history, culture, and people. always looking out for everyone and ensuring that every detail was taken care of. The trip ran seamlessly from start to finish, and that was a testament to Danna's professionalism and flawless organisation. Quite simply, the trip would not have been the same without Danna!

I also have to mention Colin, our group leader, who brought positivity, enthusiasm, and great humour every single day. He kept morale high throughout the trip and was especially encouraging during the more challenging moments, particularly on the second day of the Salkantay Trek. His energy and leadership played a huge part in making the experience so enjoyable.

By the end of the trip, I had made 16 new friends for life. Everyone was great fun, up for the craic, and brought such positive energy to the group. I came home with unforgettable memories, incredible stories, and friendships that will last a lifetime. If you're considering travelling with Craic on Travels, don't hesitate, especially if Peru is on your list. It is a truly spectacular country, and this trip was the perfect way to experience it. If Craic on Travels runs this Peru trip again with Danna as the local guide, my advice is simple: Book it. You won't regret it.

I had the most incredible experience travelling through Vietnam with Craic on Travels!

I couldn’t believe how much we managed to see and experience throughout the trip. The itinerary was packed with so many amazing and authentic experiences that really allowed us to get a feel for Vietnam, its culture and its people. I also loved that Craic on Travels gives back to a local charity, which made the experience feel even more meaningful.

Our local guide, Mi, was great. She was so knowledgeable, and lovely to have with us throughout the trip, and she added to the overall experience.

A very special mention has to go to our group leader, Fergus, who was incredible from start to finish. Everything was so organised and clear that I didn’t need to worry at all. Going on a group trip without knowing anyone can be daunting, but Fergus created such a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere from day one. He had an amazing ability to bring everyone together, keep the energy and craic going, and make us all feel like we could completely be ourselves. He played such a huge part in making the trip as special as it was.

I’m genuinely so grateful for this experience. I came away with incredible memories, having seen and experienced so much of Vietnam, but most importantly, I’ve made true friends that I know I’ll have for life. I couldn’t recommend Craic on Travels enough! ❤️

I’m currently on my way home from the Vietnam trip with Craic on travels and I can’t put into words how amazing it was!! I’ve left in tears with countless new memories and amazing new friends. Our tour leader Fergus and our local guide Mi were incredible throughout it all and took our trip to a whole new level. Just back from the most incredible adventure as part of Craic On’s first trip to Peru! Our itinerary was packed full of unforgettable experiences, well organised and consistently supported by our host Colin and our superb local guide Danna. I didn’t know what to expect when arriving on a group trip (I’m usually a solo gal) but I booked the trip anyway because Machu Picchu was always on my bucket list and I didn’t want to do the Salkantay trek solo. I NEVER would have predicted such a truly kind, adventurous and welcoming group! I could genuinely sit next to any member of our group and be guaranteed a great chat, plenty of laughs and a dose of mischief.
I had some challenging hiking moments on our trip but the good humour and support of Danna, Colin and the group definitely kept me going. What a dream. Getting to the top of those steps on our last day as the sun rose is something I won’t forget anytime soon.
It was a privilege to be introduced to Peru through Danna’s eyes…she has such a love for her country and culture - and she was always up for a laugh! Colin attentively facilitated a gorgeous group dynamic and I believe that this collection of kind curious people was a representation of the way Colin and Isabelle must run their business. Also, the fact that this group featured two people who had already been on past Craic On trips (one of them had been on 5 trips!) was a real vote of confidence.
I cannot recommend Craic On highly enough and I would love to travel with them again 💕

As a solo traveller, I met a fantastic group of people to travel Perú with (you really can’t beat the the Irish), and got to experience so much without having to worry about any of the logistics.
