1 Star – Misleading Product + No Customer Support
Spent almost $600 on a Cricut Maker 4 and had a frustrating experience from start to finish.
The color online is listed as “Sea Shell” and shown as a neutral/cream tone. Nowhere in the description does it say the machine is actually pink with a rose gold sparkly top—which is what I received. It looks completely different from the listing.
The same day I opened it (3 days after delivery), I tried calling—no one available. I emailed—no response.
When I followed up, I was told:
* They never received my email
* Even if they had, they wouldn’t help
* It’s over 5 days and the box was opened
The machine is UNUSED and still sealed in plastic.
So because their support didn’t respond and I couldn’t get through by phone, I’m now stuck with a product that doesn’t match how it was advertised.
That’s not just bad service—it’s misleading.
For a first time customer, and almost $600 purchase, this is unacceptable. I would strongly caution anyone buying from Cricut—if something goes wrong, don’t expect help

The pen holder on mine snapped and they said I could have £50 off another machine. The machines are like £400, with no guarantees that o won’t get the same failure as before.
The won’t attempt to fix or provide a replacement parts.
It’s a disgrace. These are not cheap products.
They’ve completely ignored the consumer rights acts in the UK and treat their customers poorly. Probably explains why they have so many bad reviews.
Don’t want to buy another machine but when they work it’s great to have, but I can’t afford another!

Na een brand ben ik mijn Cricut én laptop kwijtgeraakt. In die situatie denk je aan alles behalve een lopend abonnement. Toch werd mijn Design Space-abonnement gewoon afgeschreven.
Ik heb direct contact opgenomen en duidelijk uitgelegd dat ik niet meer kon inloggen omdat mijn gegevens op mijn verloren laptop stonden. De reactie? Een standaard instructie hoe ik moest inloggen. Compleet langs mijn verhaal heen.
Telefonisch werd het eerlijk gezegd nog erger. Er werd alleen maar gewezen op de “7 dagen bezwaar-termijn” en dat “alle grote bedrijven zo werken”. Alsof dat het gebrek aan fatsoenlijke klantenservice rechtvaardigt.
Dit gaat niet over regels, dit gaat over hoe je met mensen omgaat. In een uitzonderlijke situatie werd er nul meegedacht en nul verantwoordelijkheid genomen. Geen greintje begrip, geen poging tot een oplossing, helemaal niets.
Ik vind het oprecht schandalig dat een bedrijf zo omgaat met klanten die zich in een overduidelijk vervelende situatie bevinden.
Dit is geen klantenservice, dit is je verschuilen achter regels.

La machine est bien mais le reste, on oublie.
J'ai acheté le pack maker 4 avec 1 mois d'essai que j'ai décidé de ne pas activé lors de le creation de mon compte. Cette option était proposée.
Cela me semblait plus intéressant de prendre la machine en main avant de tester et voir si je poursuivais en mabonnant en fonction de mon utilisation.
Sauf que je viens de me rendre compte que 3 mois d'abonnement a ont été débité.
Le service client m'explique que le mois d'essai démarre à l'achat donc a quoi cela sert de demander si je souhaite activé l'essai ou pas.
De plus , aucun mail ou communication pour dire que que l'abonnement est effectif. Quand j'allais sur le cricut design space, j'avais toujours quelque éléments en gratuits et tout le reste en payant donc même le visuel ne m'aurait pas mis la puce à l'oreille parce que si j'étais abonné et fonc en illimité, je n'aurai pas besoin de payer....
Enfin, leur polique de ne pas rembourser les abonnement mensuels donc, je me fais avoir sur toute la ligne et eux ne font pas le moindre geste donc faite attention et annulé l'essai si vous ne souhaitez pas qu'il vous arrive la même chose.

Ist das überhaupt rechtens?

There is so much you can do with your Cricut machine, but you need to do your research before purchasing, as not all machines have the same functions.
Having attended a couple of different demonstrations in-store at Hobbycraft, I've found the confidence & incentive to use my products more and expand on the projects I make. Amanda has been extremely helpful and patient in explaining the different machines, different products & how to use them, and highlighting how to use them in many different ways. Very useful.

I went to the workshop in Orpington 11/4/26 absolutely loved it, I’ve learned new things and also I have a better understanding on how to use my machine at home. Had a great time and I’m very happy thank you

Attended a Cricut Jar of Joy event at Colchester HobbyCraft with Harri, it was really informative and Harri was so helpful, showing us how to create different things on the Cricut machines. Excited to go home and use my Cricut machine for new projects now!

no longer have the machine and two years later they are still charging me. got a refund the first year of not having it just got off the phone and they are claiming someone did a free trial of it and then it charged the year for something i don't even own any longer. they said the refunded the first one and wont refund it this time and to do a fraud charge on my card and hope to get refunded. Absolutely do not recommend this company what so ever.

Attended an informal in store demo with cricut ambassador. Relaxed group session, with people dropping in at any time. Very useful, great to see simple projects from start to finish and have an go and handle the materials etc, with hints and tips for better results.
A variety of machines on show…and a chance to see what comes in the box.

J’ai acheté une machine Cricut récemment, et malheureusement elle ne fonctionne pas correctement depuis le premier jour.
J’ai contacté le service client à plusieurs reprises, en envoyant tous les éléments demandés (vidéos, explications détaillées, etc.). Malgré cela, je n’ai jamais reçu de confirmation de réception de mon dossier, ni de réponse claire à mes demandes.
À chaque appel, on me donne une nouvelle explication ou on me demande de renvoyer des éléments déjà fournis, ce qui donne une impression de perte de temps et de manque total de suivi.
Le plus frustrant est l’absence de communication : aucun accusé de réception, aucun suivi, aucune prise en charge sérieuse d’un produit défectueux pourtant sous garantie.
C’est particulièrement décevant pour une marque de cette réputation. J’attends simplement une chose : une prise en charge réelle de mon problème (réparation, échange ou remboursement).
Sans réponse rapide, je partagerai mon expérience de manière détaillée (avec preuves) sur mes réseaux, notamment TikTok, Instagram et YouTube, afin d’informer d’autres futurs clients.
Je constate en revanche que les avis ici semblent être les seuls à obtenir une réponse, j’espère donc enfin être contactée.

I loved my cricut joy and although I have had it for a year, hobbycraft held a free workshop that taught me so much I hadn't figured out yet. When I upgraded my joy for a maker 4, the first machine didn't work on arrival, but the customer service man was so extremely helpful and apologetic. I got a new machine sent to me straight away, the old one was sent back at their cost.

Really really useful but the tech was letting the teacher down a little. Full of loads of fun ideas and gave us some information so contact them after the event finished

Je me voyer déjà des projets plein la tête a faire avec ma cricut. Je penser aussi prendre l'abonnement cricut. Maintenant mon projet est de ramener ma cricut au magasin et ne plus entendre parler de cricut.

I bought a machine and took on the subscription. I found nothing of use and so cancelled. it seems it was not fully cancelled and they took the subscription payment again after a couple of months with no prior notification.
I contacted customer service and seems this is a regular thing with them...no refund, no common courtesy email reminding you subscription would be restarted. Very underhand.
Never again.

Bought a heat press for making shirts 1 month ago. Within a month, the item got an error code that will not clear. Contacted Cricut. They asked for a video showing the machine, along with a photo of the receipt and the serial number, which I sent. 2 days later, they asked for a closer pic of the receipt, which I sent. 2 days later, they asked for a better video of the serial number. The serial number is barely visible to the human eye, but I sent the video... again. Called the customer service line. Got zero help. Worst customer service I've seen in years. I wouldn't recommend this company for anything.

Do not bother with this Cricut company. You can get a better machine somewhere else. Also, the customer care is less than desirable. I purchased a machine and returned it and they keep charging for the subscription. Also, if you ship the merchandise it has to be approved by them and it has to be unopened. Sending the machine back via UPS or Fedex will cost you over $100+ do not be a fool. This is a total rip off.
