Wanted to try something different a new experience for my birthday treat... so very dissatisfied and won't be going back... The service was absolutely awful not welcoming or helpful... great customer service and helpful , welcoming polite service goes a long way.. I ordered poppadoms and a drink as felt pressured to order something so I could study the menu and make my choice..we finished the poppadoms and waited and waited but waitress avoided eye contact , a new waiter appeared and he realised we wanted service, he was very nice and offered us help but unfortunately we had waited too long and wanted our bill to go somewhere else...which we did and received excellent welcoming service..

Popped in to the Croydon branch for a quick, cheap lunch fo myself. Thali with pineapple juice, can of sprite and what appeared to be the only choice of ice cream = custard apple. The food was lukewarm and very poor, the bill was far more than I expected and, having visited India a number of times, I can vouch that the most authentic thing about the whole experience was the disgusting state of the toilet.

Had lunch at the Didcot branch today - splendid food.
Great choice of interesting and unusual Indian fare - not your usual Banglabesh/Pakitanis so called Indan food.

Great food, great owners and a great view

The Solihull branch is amazing and the staff and manager are amazing and the food and drink are great good customer service always come here regularly.

We booked Crispy Dosa Catering Service in July 2025 for our Mehndi night in May 2026 because my family and I genuinely loved their food at the restaurant. Initially, communication was excellent. We agreed on a package of £1,500 to cater for 100 guests, which included serving ware, plates, cutlery, tissues, serving tables, and serving staff. We were really pleased with the package being offered, so when they requested a £100 deposit, I paid it within a couple of days.

Unfortunately, after the deposit was sent, communication completely disappeared. There was no written confirmation of the booking details, no confirmation that the deposit had even been received, and months went by with little to no response from their team.

By February 2026, I had become so frustrated with the lack of communication that I requested my deposit back and said I no longer wished to proceed. Strangely, this immediately triggered a phone call where they suddenly became responsive again and reduced the price to £1,400, saying I would need to pay £1,300 in cash, which honestly felt very questionable and unprofessional.

Despite my hesitation, I decided to continue with the booking after being reassured everything would be handled properly. Then, the day before the event, I received a message asking to change the agreed arrival time from 6pm to 7pm, adding even more stress before such an important occasion.

Sadly, the actual event was even more disappointing. We had been clearly told in advance that cutlery, tissues, and tablecloths would all be provided, yet when the team arrived, none of these items were brought with them. We were left scrambling at the last minute to source plates, tissues, spoons, and cutlery ourselves, which was incredibly stressful and completely unacceptable considering what had been agreed beforehand.

To make matters worse, hot oil was also spilt into our neighbour’s garden during the event, leaving us worried about potential cleaning or damage costs afterwards.

Most importantly, the food itself was absolutely awful. We received numerous complaints from guests throughout the night, which was honestly embarrassing given that we originally chose them because we had always enjoyed their restaurant food.

After the event, I reached out professionally to raise these concerns and request a partial refund to cover the additional costs and inconvenience caused. I also addressed the issue regarding the oil spill. Unfortunately, I have been completely ignored ever since.

Overall, this experience was incredibly disappointing from start to finish. Poor communication, broken promises, disorganisation on the day, and food that fell far below expectations completely overshadowed what should have been a special celebration. I would not recommend using them for large events or important occasions.

Waiter didn't have a clue, didn't look very clean, we were charged £17 for a pint of cobra and a single gin, didn't have the right glass for a lager. This place is a dump,don't bother.

Owners were behind the counter and had no clue what to do . One of the owners should have stood at the door and asked the walk in customers to go away rather then allowing customers to come in and make it even more of a chaos..no food available at the counter and everyone was disappointed ☹️😞☹️😞

I saw a person drinking out of a jar and coughing in it. Staff did not do anything until we told them. The food quality has gone down and it took a long time to get the food.

Have been to the Harrow branch several times. Staff is friendly and service is good. Tried several Dosas and North Indian food. consistent taste and experience.

Really bad service and meals very disappointing to say the least.small portions of veg.we ordered 4 meals,there was nearly 15 minutes between the first meal and the and the fourth meal.one was not cooked properly and one was cold and tough to eat.I would not recommend the place to my friends and relatives.really disappointing evening as we took some friends with us.

The restaurant was very clean, and the staff were very friendly. As a starter, I ordered Chennai Rasam, it was Hot, as it should be, I liked it. My wife ordered lentil soup. It was spicy and creamy (I tasted a bit of it). For the mains, my wife ordered Masala Dosa since she always enjoys it. For a change, I ordered schezwan fried rice with vegetarian kurma. It was very nice but the portion size was big, so we took the leftovers home for my lunch. For the total price £45, the money was very well spent. They even gave us 5% discount voucher for our next visit.

Tasty food, quick service, felt authentic

We went to this place for lunch on our wedding anniversary without any plans and just casually mentioned that it was our wedding anniversary and what a surprise at the end they brought in an eggless cake with candle(so thoughtful)and wished us.Great place to eat and to feel at home in Bedford.

Karthik Ram facilitated our recent corporate work event dinner at Crispy Dosa Croydon.

He was fantastic and helped make everything go smoothly and went the extra mile with decorations and service.
The food was incredible and the staff were professional and great.

I would recommend this venue for any event and amazing food.

Order no 9F81B ordered this crispy dosa via delivery from Crispydosa, Harrow. The offer was buy one get one free. Rang the restaurant and the person who took the call was rude and obnoxious. Paid £15.97 including delivery for a soggy mess. Glad I didn’t get 2! There are better places, do not recommend! Save your money! Food is aweful!

The best service and food! It's one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever been to! Keep it going !

We just popped in for an evening snack and ordered vada and a filter coffee. The Vada was crispy fresh tasty and the coffee was full of aroma and exactly as how we'd have it back in home town. The staff were courteous and friendly which made the whole experience a good one. We'll certainly return for more.

Bought puri bhaji from Croydon branch. It was rotten and this restaurant should be avoided
