It was my first order from Culpitt which brought me just problems and an "amazing" experience being mistreated by Customer Service because of my accent and impossibility to understand why they send me some "complimentary" huge size useless box and cake board instead of 2 cupcake boxes I've ordered and charge 5.48£ for it. So it means instead of the item you have ordered you gonna get some useless rubbish by default, just because the Customer Service decided so. And more - when you place your order you will never know about hidden tax (SRP) over food colouring prices which shows only in a final invoice you got after delivery. One more - when you place an order in the company site the system allows you to put in a basket and pay for items which are out of stock so then they will send you only items which are in stock, hold your money and make you wait for the rest of your order until the items go back to stock.

When you pay for next day delivery as need it urgently, and it doesnt come the next day, and then no communication on it for the following day meaning you miss it again resulting in you having to buy half the items elsewhere or managing without them or even letting a customer down! now dont need half of the items!! All they offered was my payment for the over night delivery back…as a credit note!

Iruna a small cake business and although I make sponge cakes I always buy fruit cakes and decorate them myself, I bought a fruit cake and decorated it for a customer, the cake cost £14.25 but I charged the customer £65 due to the marzipan, decorations and my time to decorate it. The customer set me a picture and it was so dry that each time she cut into it was left with a pile of crumbs, I refunded her the £65, apologised and as a gesture of goodwill made her some cupcakes, I rasised the complaint with Culpitt who said they would refund me the entire cost of the cake but they only refunded £14.25, I am really angry as I am now £50 out of pocket, absolutely appalling service, won't be using them again and will advise anyone else not to do business with them either

Very poor customer service. Can’t get refunds for items which were not in stock and charged for. Using the “covid” excuse for everything. Will be very surprised if they survive. Delivery to Northern Ireland will take over 2 weeks. Other cake supply companies are not having these problems
