Item ordered was shown as being in stock. Heard nothing but noted the amount paid had been refunded. I phoned them to be told the item wasn't in stock and had to be ordered which was a 8 week lead time. In interim heard nothing.. Phoned again and was told they would "reach out" when it arrived.. well that was months ago. Overall very poor way to run a business.

Rogue traders - poor products, poorer customer service

I ordered a pair of cufflinks, they arrived damaged with one misshapen and the other dirty. I returned these to the address on the invoice only to be told it was wrong. I had to pay approx £20 on returns fees due to this error and im still waiting for my refund. They will not proactively contact you re a refund. They need to be chased consistently.

Please, for your own sanity, avoid!

I placed an order on the 20th July with no suggestion the item wasn’t in stock. Numerous phone calls have followed during the intervening weeks with no assurances provided over delivery times. I eventually cancelled. A truly awful experience! Staff were clearly embarrassed and tried their best but the problem are clearly, deep rooted. Sorry to say, but a (fairly) local business looks likely to go to the wall! Avoid like the plague!

How long is a piece of string?

I've awarded a somewhat generous 2-star rating, given my recent experience and because I do feel that staff are good, but being put in an impossible position. I ordered a ring, shown on sale in mid-July in all sizes, in a design apparently now discontinued by the maker and not available across a range of other online retailers. I received the ring the next day in a much smaller size. Duly returned. When I 'phoned to explain the wrong size was received, I was told that - even though the site showed all sizes at the sale price, the price referred only to the default size shown. I was told it would cost more to secure the size I wanted, which was listed as 'available to order' on the site; I paid the extra over the 'phone. I was originally given a 4-week timescale for dispatch; I have chased up the order by email in mid August and late September, with reasons for the delay given that, quite frankly, don't make sense. Staff have responded quickly and politely to my queries, but you do feel like you're being fobbed off. The full amount has been taken from my credit card, but now coming up for 3 months after placing the order, I've been told to await news of the ring coming into stock from the maker, which reminds me of that old saying 'how long is a piece of string?' I have had the same experience at least twice before with CW Sellors, so I've gone into this with my eyes open. However, I have always - eventually - received the item and that's why I've given them the benefit of the doubt this time. I can confidently report that this won't be the case in future.

I would not recommend them

Ordered a clock online in early June 2025 and settled with my credit card. There was no indication of any likely delays but the order was not dispatched. Chased multiple times only to be reassured. Two months later, I asked for delivery within the week or the order to be cancelled. Still no delivery and no cancellation. Filed for a charge back with my credit card company. The clock was dispatched the following day.

County Court Recovery Necessary to recover monies paid!

Absolute fraudsters avoid making a purchase online with this business. Purchased an ex display watch with them giving my card details to their sales manager at the Ashboune site promised me next day delivery, the watch never arrived and they have kept my £4,300 refusing to return it. I have spoken to the police and forwarded the matter to ActionFraud and I am also taking CW Sellors through the County Court to recover my funds paid (they say they don’t have the money!) worst experience of any business in 30 years I don’t know how this company can trade lawfully in the United Kingdom in the 21st century with despicable business practices like these. Company should be banned.

Definitely a scam

Definitely a scam! Purchased a Rotary ladies watch and have been waiting well over a month and it still hasn't been shipped. I have sent countless emails and whatsapp msgs to the company and no response. I am now considering legal action. AVOID AVOID AVOID

[edit] I finally received a refund after writing an email to their business partner. Be warned that this company is using customer's money/deposits as interest free short-term borrowings for months to cover their high interest debt payments.

I would not recommend doing business with this "dealer". They are taking customers' money and are not delivering orders. C W Sellors will lie about not getting deliveries from watch makers. But manufacturers have confirmed that C W Sellors is lying to customers about everything.

Google a Youtuber named Top Tier Ticker. He had the same experience of C W Sellors lying to him and taking forever to refund his money.

They seem to be going out of business. That's the only explanation for customers not getting refunds after they failed to deliver orders for months.

They owe me more than $3,000. They haven't provided any concrete date for when the refund will be processed.

Do not order from them

Do not order from them - will be a mistake. Placed order on day of watch release they took my money. No updates from them on when order was coming / or on delivery or any delays / I had to chase them via mail as you will NEVER get through on the phone. months of chasing and waiting never getting any real person to talk to just me sending mails. Nothing from them to then be told ( after chasing via mail again that there is no allocation for my watch so they sold me a watch and left me hanging months and then told me they dont have it. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL AVOID this is my worst watch buying experience. Hours on hold and no upfront honest communication.

Upsetting experience with rude customer service and insane policys

Tried to buy an item in the sale that was 50% off using my phone. Spent nearly an hour and the website is so poor it wouldn’t update, kept adding 3 to my cart, wouldn’t let me update it to just 1. Checked all my safari activity to verify this and I have screenshots. Remembered it again today, still listed on the website as for sale. Contacted them on WhatsApp and was told no it’s only the full price one and they won’t match their own price? Even though it’s on the sale page? I told them they should use the price difference to pay for a website upgrade and they told me the website is fine. Didn’t seem to understand that I wanted to purchase something from them and as a potential customer I physically was unable to do so, these people are losers and it’s left me feeling pissed off and upset and annoyed. The website should work, and when a customer tells you it’s not working correctly, they should listen. They’d probably make a bit more money if their website wasn’t so cheap.

Dishonest customer service team and customer relations

I purchased an item from the George Jensen range which did not suit me. And had wanted an exchange for another item which would have suited better also available from this company.

However I found the same item at abetter price from what I later learned is a sister company of CW Sellors.

I had an online offer to go ahead with purchasing the cited from the other company which in total would have saved me £6.

My mistake in contacting CW sellors to get a return approval was in telling them that their sister company has offered a better price. Before I could complete the purchase the telephone handler called Hope has illegally revoked the offer I had on line from Hamonds as she was an to access the link I had on line.

If she were honest and upfront with what she intended to do in rescinding the sale offer i had - it would not have been a problem.

However the underhand manner and lack of upfront honesty from the call handler was very upsetting and irritating. I was dealing with her as a telephone customer service handler for CW Sellors and she has illegally acted without letting me know that she has taken on a role for Hamonds to rescind the on line offer I have had from a company that I thought was a totally separate company.

The mistake or error has been made by Hamond and I should have been informed officially by a Hamond representative that they are rescinding their offer. Not via an underhand and dishonest manner where a customer service assistant saves the company £6.

The customer service assistant further argued with me that I should not have recieved that offer as its not in line with their company's policy. It's the company's fault for not having clear quality control systems in dealing with on line pricing.

There is no justification at all regardless of what ever existing policy or mistake has been made to make a returning customer who buys high quality items - unhappy for a measly £6.

The immediate as well as longitudinal impact of it is immeasurable.

I do hope that your board of directors instill upon its staff the need to look after customer needs and to keep them happy. The small mindedness and underhand dishonesty of individuals who feel they have to achieve and prove their worth at £6 gain that leads to a long term disbenefitwhilstv tarnishing the company's image is unfathomable. In making a saving of £6 at the expense of good customer relations and image management for the company, is something that is acutely and strategically wrong!! You keep your customer happy and they will return.

However, be careful on dealing with Hope in this company's customer service team as she has yet to prove her worth and you can be at the receiving end of it.

July 2025: Terrible Customer Service

Absolutely horrible after sales service. I bought a Tudor watch from them on 12th June. Later I changed my mind and asked them to cancel the order. But no one responded on the email. They were pretty quick in responding when I wanted to buy the watch.
Finally on 14th June they confirmed that order has been cancelled and refund would take 10-14 working days.
This in my opinion is absurd because they didn't even place the order with Tudor and just have a terrible refund process.
Today is 8th July and I haven't received the refund. I have been chasing them on emails but they are unresponsive.
I had to raise a dispute with my bank. They are absolutely terrible.

Wish I had read the review first - beware

I had seen an item that other jewellers had said was no longer available - but their website advertised it was - I called them firstly to ask, they confidently told me they could order direct - allow 4 weeks. I paid the money and after a week or so I hadn’t received any updates so I contacted them advised the item was discontinued - I requested a full refund and I am still waiting - will have to contact my bank now to complain.

Doouble ticketing bait

I am an international buyer. WARNING - do not purchase from this company. I ordered and paid for on their website for chronovision watchwinder for £3200. 3 weeks after confirmation, I got a random email lifting the price to £4000 if I wanted it. The excuse was that the supplier did not advise them of the price rise. I decided to cancel it. It took them 15 days after the cancellation (and for me to chase up several times) to refund my money. Today, they are still advertising the same product at the same price that they said I could not buy it for. This company should be done for double ticketing and switch and bait advertising. It is the worst experience I've ever had with an international company, and I would suggest everyone avoid purchasing from this business as it is not one to be trusted

Slow, poor service

Was not clear from the ‘ready to order’ status on the website that it would take anything from 2 weeks to 4 months to deliver! I cancelled and ordered earrings direct from Shaun Leane - who delivered in 3 days! Customer services take days to reply, if they reply at all. I requested refund on 21 May and didn’t receive it until 16 June. Distance sellers are legally required to refund within 14 calendar days . Will not use this retailer again.

I ordered and paid for a watch in early December 2024. I have still not received it and now believe CW Sellors is a scam operation that should be reported to the UK Consumer Protection.

ignorance and indifference

So, I ordered a Garmin Phoenix eight on March 24th, but guess what? After three weeks of being buried under work, I found out the watch never showed up. I tried reaching out to the company, and they told me this wild story about how the delivery from Garmin went missing. They said the next deliveries are coming soon, and I’ll get my watch in a few days. But I was super worried because I need this watch for my trip to Norway on April 2nd. And to make matters worse, I had already sold my old watch on eBay, so I was totally without one. I had a bunch of phone calls and conversations with people who weren’t very helpful and didn’t give me any info weeks after my order. I was still without a watch. One day, I was talking to one of the staff, and I asked if the watch would be delivered on time. If not, I could cancel the order and buy it from somewhere else to make sure I got it on time. The guy assured me that the delivery would come the next day from Garmin. But guess what? On Saturday, March 29th, I found out that the watch never arrived from Garmin. It’s absolutely unacceptable how uninformative and slow this customer service was. After all that, I canceled my order. I was lied to and kept in the dark, and I’m no longer getting a watch from them. This is terrible customer service, with long waiting times (almost 5 weeks!!!) and no one even bothering to let me know what’s going on and why I’m waiting for such a long time. I strongly advise against doing business with this company.

Like a previous reviewer - suppliers owed money

Like a previous reviewer, I was planning to buy a watch from Germany but the manufacturer told me that they could ship as this company "owed them money". I have never been in a position before where the manufacturer has contacted me direct to warn me! I was offered 10% discount to buy direct but once you factor import tax (from brexit) it's a costly add on.
This company is related to w Hammond in Whitby who I have also had issues with.... and that's from receiving a refund. Dodgy goings on - sincerely folks, avoid these companies.

Update review

Further to previous review, I have now heard from the German manufacturer of the watch winder I ordered in January but never received. They were waiting to ship the order as soon as it was received by them but couldn’t because Sellors hadn’t paid for it. I have raised a formal complaint and been fobbed off with lies. This company is a disgrace. What are they doing with customer funds? If it’s not in stock, don’t even think about buying.
