Sorry to hear you’ve had a little difficulty tightening the cords at the top and getting it perfectly snug. It can take a little bit of getting used to, but there is a simple trick that usually helps.

Our covers are our own design and made to suit a range of models, so the fastenings may differ slightly from the original. However, we include a full fixing kit with everything needed to secure it properly and keep your hot tub well insulated.

To clarify an important point first: the lid you purchased was designed to be used in conjunction with a thermal cover and body jacket, rather than as a like‑for‑like replacement for the original rigid Lay‑Z‑Spa lid. Its purpose is to support the insulated Country Cover system, improving heat retention and weather protection when used as a complete setup. We accept that this may not have been made clear enough on the website, and we completely take on board your comments around product clarity.
Your feedback regarding the frame and water pooling is also noted. While the frame is intended to provide structure and lift for the insulation jacket rather than act as a rigid, domed rain‑shedding lid, we understand how this expectation can arise — particularly for larger spas such as the Maldives — and we can appreciate your disappointment given that use case.
