I was searching for a new password manager and read a review on Cybernews recommending "NordPass," as the #1 password manager and offering a deal. Turns out it is an affiliate deal. I bought it before knowing this, nothing worked right. Could not use the QR code to add it to my authenticator account. Could not download the recovery passcodes on Safari. Nothing was working right with NordPass so went to their chat to ask for a refund and to cancel. They agreed, but would not send an email confirming as "they don't do that and cannot do that manually." Ridiculous. Totally untrustworthy review.

Fake news extortion ring. Just a bunch of random nobodies who claim to do 'research' and post fake, AI-generated news with AI-generated images as evidence. It's an extortion ring, and they wouldn't own it that they're literally hacking companies. If you don't pay up they peddle fake news against your company.

looking for an adblocker in 2026 that works on YouTube and I see this link on Google: Best YouTube ad blockers in February 2026,
but when checking it has last been updated in June 2025 and it only contains sponsored links. So it is not even a real review website. Just a money laundering machine turning views into clicks.

FAKE site. AVOID like the plague. Do NOT give them a single penny!

uk.cybernews.com currently has links on their website - which they say are current offers - claiming to give 50% off a WIX subscription. There is no 50% off. I have been watching the WIX site for any offers since Christmas and there have not been any such offers and nor are there now. As a result I have cancelled the WIX account that uk.cybernews.com linked to. uk.cybernews.com should be removed as a referrer to WIX because they appear to be posting misleading information and may get a referrer's fee for anyone who clicks on the link when the only reason people are clicking on the links are because they claim falsely that there is a 50% off offer.

This is actually a review of the reviews on cybernews.com. Three of the four five-star reviews given for cybernews on Trustpilot were all submitted on exactly the same date (3rd of May 2021). What are the odds of that?
Further, all three had low previous preview numbers (2, 4 and 21) - so I have a very strong suspicion that they are fake reviews to bolster the site.
Based on this observation, I don't trust cybernews.com.

Fake website reviews with no actual honest opinions.

They recommend Total AV which is a horrible antivirus run by scammers.
They charge people's card, even after cancelling subscription.
Take a look on Reddit and Trustpilot, check out actual reviews on YouTube.
Can't even comment on their site.
I can't trust this site.

This site was titled "Free ad blockers for Chrome" but went straight to a product to do that for £1.59 per month.
How is that free?

Reputable, global level, security researches

Terrible website obviously biased towards selling you products from their affiliate links. In an article discussing the differences between Avast and Defender they had the gall to write that the pricing of a premium product is better then one that is free. Not to mention a popup appeared asking me to buy a complete other anti-virus software that I was not even trying to compare. They also had one of their own employees fact check the article.
