We completely understand your point regarding the male-to-female ratio. Our aim is always to achieve the closest balance possible, and we actively monitor bookings in the lead-up to every event. Where necessary, we pause ticket sales, adjust availability or offer transfers to help improve the ratio.

Unfortunately, last-minute cancellations and no-shows—particularly when attendees don't let us know in advance—can sometimes affect the final numbers despite our best efforts.

This review is extraordinary when you consider the full context.

You've attended 105 DateinaDash events over the last 14 years - almost since we first started the company. That's more events than the overwhelming majority of our customers will attend in a lifetime.

During those 14 years we've also provided you with numerous complimentary tickets and goodwill gestures. Despite all of that, you never once left a positive review.

One event was cancelled due to low numbers. You emailed asking to be transferred to another event. Before we'd even had the opportunity to respond, you posted this review describing us as "very rude" and providing no context whatsoever about the previous 105 events you'd attended.

We think most people reading this review will ask themselves a simple question: if DateinaDash was truly a "terrible company", why would someone continue attending our events for 14 years and book 105 of them?

After supporting you for well over a decade, we're disappointed this is how our relationship has ended. We wish you all the best, but we don't believe DateinaDash is the right fit for you going forward, and we won't be accepting any future bookings.

We're sorry that you were disappointed by your experience, but we categorically reject your allegation that DateinaDash is a "scam".

A scam is a business that deliberately takes customers' money through deception or has no intention of providing the service purchased. That is simply not what happened here.

Your event was cancelled due to low numbers, which can occasionally happen with live events. Rather than keeping your money, we offered you the opportunity to transfer your booking in accordance with our cancellation policy.

After seeing your review, we immediately carried out a manual investigation and discovered that your previous emails had unfortunately been filtered into our spam folder. As soon as we identified the issue, your refund was processed in full. At no point was there any intention to ignore your emails or withhold your refund. It was an unfortunate email filtering issue that only came to light once we became aware of your complaint.

To describe a legitimate business as a "scam" because an event was cancelled and your emails were inadvertently filtered is both inaccurate and unfair. DateinaDash has been operating continuously since 2011, has organised thousands of successful speed dating events, and has welcomed well over 100,000 singles. Every week, genuine customers attend our events, leave reviews and make real connections.

As part of the launch of our new website tomorrow, we are also introducing a new customer support system, and our legacy telephone number is being withdrawn. Our focus is on providing faster, more reliable support through our online help channels so that every enquiry is properly logged and responded to.

We're pleased we were able to resolve the matter by issuing your refund in full as soon as the problem was identified. While we accept that we should have found your email sooner, we do not accept the allegation that DateinaDash is fraudulent in any way.

We believe this review does not accurately reflect the circumstances of your booking.

The event was not cancelled and proceeded as scheduled. Your refund request was made after you chose to cancel your attendance at short notice.

Event tickets are purchased subject to our booking terms and cancellation policy. As with many live events, once places have been reserved and event preparations have been made, refunds are not automatically available when an attendee decides not to attend.

We also dispute the suggestion that we "ghosted" you. We respond to a large volume of customer enquiries and do our best to assist everyone as promptly as possible.

As no booking details have been provided in your review, we are unable to comment on the specific correspondence. However, if you contact us directly with your booking reference, we will be happy to review the matter further.

Your review omits a number of important facts. Unfortunately, both of the events you booked were cancelled due to low attendance. While we appreciate this was frustrating, event cancellations are an occasional reality in the live events industry and do not amount to fraud. On both occasions, you were offered the opportunity to transfer your booking in accordance with our published Terms & Conditions.

You state that we have not refunded you. This is simply incorrect. Your refund was processed after your request was received and dealt with, and there was never any intention to retain your money unfairly.

Describing a legitimate business as "scammers" because events were cancelled and you were dissatisfied with the process is both inaccurate and unfair. DateinaDash has been operating continuously since 2011, has organised thousands of successful speed dating events and has welcomed well over 100,000 singles. Thank you for your review.

What makes this review particularly confusing is that you originally left us a 5-star review, describing the event as "fun and organised", "much better than dating apps" and stating that you "would recommend" it.

The event itself has not changed. The reason your review was subsequently reduced to 1 star appears to be a post-event issue relating to a specific attendee you wished to match with.

As explained at the time, this attendee was not available within the matching system. You asked whether we could contact them and, as a goodwill gesture, we agreed to do so on your behalf. We did exactly that. Unfortunately, we have not received a response and that is not something within our control.

With regard to the bolt-on ticket, redemption instructions were included in the email sent at the time of purchase.

We also acknowledge that our response times were slower than ideal. However, it is important to distinguish between the quality of the event itself and the outcome of a particular match enquiry after the event had ended.

By your own account, the event was enjoyable, well organised and something you would recommend to others. We are therefore disappointed that a positive event experience has ultimately been represented as a 1-star review because we were unable to obtain a response from a third party.

Nevertheless, we wish you the very best with your future dating journey.
