I ordered THE DAVEK SAVILE unfortunately we had an issue with it shortly after it arrived. I sent an email in the evening and had a response from Customer Service by 7:00am the following morning and a solution shortly after. The Umbrella itself it beautiful and great quality.

I love the little davek umbrellas. They take up almost no space in my purse or coat pocket and yet expand to keep me dry in a rainshower.
Only problem — I lose them, and they're expensive.

Is plenty wide enough and also strong enough for very strong winds

This. Us a well made, and sturdy umbrella. It should last forvyears.
My disappointment is, it is not automatic.

I needed an umbrella for hiking. No compromises it had to meet all my demands. So I searched and Davek came up, so I thought I would try one. As soon as I opened the box and looked at the quality I knew this would do the job. After many hiking trips over the years through rain, blustery rain, and hot sun - I use it as a parasol too this umbrella never failed to protect me. I have had it over 10 years and it is likely to last for many more years to come. Anyway, this peice of kit is so important to me I decided to buy a second one in case I lost the first one.

Très mauvaise expérience.
Les 2 mini parapluies sont de très mauvaise qualité, très fragile malgré un prix très élevé. Impossible de faire le renvoi, il faut faire une déclaration en douane, là pas de problème, mais les coordonnées sont fausses, notamment le code postal, donc on abandonne devant les difficultés pour le renvoi... comme cela pas de soucis pour eux. A FUIR.

Actually, it was delivered to the wrong address and I still don't have it. BUT, the customer service was INCREDIBLE. I know my umbrella will catch up with me at some point, but in the meantime it meant the world to connect with a real person (please tell me she's real!?) and to get back a little faith in the power of human connection. Great umbrellas, easy ordering on their site. I do wish the mini was made a bit stronger. I know the larger ones it is easier to enforcer for wind.

Customer has to pay for shipping for returns or exchanges. You can receive a defective product and it’s your responsibility to pay to replace. Ridiculous.

Fabulous construction. As advertised!

Delivery was fast but it was a gift and there was supposed to be a "Happy Birthday" note in the package. It wasn't there.

Revising my review. There was a shipping issue which the company did fix and pretty quick once they could see my message about it.

The umbrella is better than expected. It’s tiny but opens fully and with enough space for two adults or one adult and 1-2 children, depending on age. Quality is excellent. You can tell how well made it is even just holding it. The little bag it comes with (in addition to the regular cover) is a nice touch, it keeps any little bits of dirt of droplets of water from the handle, which the sheath style cover doesn’t cover, from getting the inside of my bag dirty or wet. It’s lightweight overall while still being heavy for its size. The handle is ok, it’s totally fine for a small umbrella and I wouldn’t want it to be bigger or different because it’s part of what makes it so compact but it’s not exactly the most comfortable umbrella handle out there and when wind gusts are tugging at the umbrella itself the handle can be less than comfortable to hang on to. The flip side is that my younger kids can hold it comfortably, no bulky handle for them to try and wrangle. Overall it’s a five star product and the customer service is top notch too.
