David Luke grew out of a small company that supplied childrenswear in the North West of England. A spark for inventiveness saw our founding partners David Burgess and Adrian Luke expand into the school uniform market where they have innovated some of the most iconic products our children now count as uniform essentials. Over the years, our business has demonstrated a progressive and highly respected reputation for innovation in sustainability. We were the first to develop recycled polyester yarn from plastic bottles which we used to make blazers. Making this switch has enabled us to prevent 34 million plastic bottles from going into landfill which we can verify through our SCS Accreditation and love to tell all our friends about. Our mission is not just to succeed in the school uniform market, we aim to lead it towards a more ethical future. One where materials are responsibly sourced, communities fairly treated and people care enough to make conscious decisions about how they purchase school uniform. We’re part of the Ethical Trading Initiative to make sure we do just that. Today we are one of the biggest school uniform brands in the UK. We are a champion of independent retail.

I order 1 pair of girls shorts as my daughter prefers them. The first pair came very quickly. She was really pleased with them. So I ordered two more pairs, which also arrived quickly. They're very good quality. And a good length. My only concern is I ordered the largest waist size. So when she grows out of them I won't be able to replace them. Maybe David Luke could make culottes styles for girls to wear.

Always amazing service quick delivery and exactly as described. Great quality, washes well and sizes true to fit. I don’t go anywhere else now for trousers and blazers. Wish you did a cotton shirt.

My 13yr old twin boys are so tall now…
My 13yr old twin boys are so tall now that we had to find better school trousers. We couldn’t find any that fitted in the length but had a small waist. Finally came across David Luke. They are twice the price of the supermarket equivalent. But the quality is way superior. They both look so much smarter in their school uniforms.

Poor experience
I placed an order for three pairs of trousers. Only one arrived so I had to chase the company. They apologised and my second pair arrived. I had to chase again. Nearly three weeks later my third pair arrived.
