Avoid at all costs
I ordered a dress several weeks ago and still hasn't arrived. Avoid this retailer at all costs.
Total sham.
Simply dreadful
Website represented as UK however cheap Chinese product arrived. Sandals broke immediately, unusable. Not a true representation of picture. Avoid this company. Can't be bothered to return - why add to the carbon footprint. Avoid this company.

Will never use again.
Shoes took more than three weeks to arrive.
Then I wanted to return them because they did not fit well. Was told I would have to pay the postage back to China. Charity shop will benefit.
Never again!

Very poor quality shoes
Very poor quality shoes and very difficult to obtain a refund. After much time and negotiation I managed a 50% refund. I would not recommend this company.

Davies and Cooper are NOT a UK based business
Davies and Cooper present themselves as a UK business by prominently displaying a UK address and UK mobile telephone number on their website. In reality, they are a drop-shipping operation, with orders fulfilled and dispatched directly from China.
As a result, customers only discover after purchase that any returns must be sent to China, making returns prohibitively expensive and, in many cases, impractical. This significant requirement is not clearly disclosed in the company's Terms and Conditions.
The website gives every reasonable impression that customers are purchasing from a UK retailer. Requiring consumers to return goods to China when exercising their statutory rights is inconsistent with those expectations and raises serious concerns under UK consumer law.
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, traders must provide clear pre-contract information about cancellation rights and any return costs. Because Davies and Cooper failed to make it clear before purchase that returns would have to be sent to China, it is neither reasonable nor lawful to impose this requirement afterwards.
The company's pricing practices are also questionable. Products are routinely advertised with heavily inflated "original" prices before being shown as discounted by up to 50%. If those higher prices have not genuinely been charged within the relevant period, such discounts may breach UK pricing rules and mislead consumers.
Furthermore, many of the products sold by Davies and Cooper are available on Temu for around one-third of the price, suggesting the company is simply acting as a reseller while creating the impression of offering exceptional discounts.
Taken together, the company's presentation, pricing practices, and lack of transparency over returns raise serious concerns under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, which prohibit misleading commercial practices likely to influence consumers' purchasing decisions.
My advice is not to buy from them.
UPDATE
Thank you for your response. However, your reply does not actually address the specific concerns raised in my review.
Simply stating that your terms and conditions are “published on our website” and “reviewed regularly” does not answer the fundamental issue: where is it clearly stated, before a customer places an order, that goods are dispatched from China and that a customer exercising their right to return the goods may be required to send them back to China at their own expense?
Your website prominently displays a UK address and UK mobile telephone number, which gives a clear impression that customers are dealing with a UK-based retailer. If orders are in fact fulfilled directly from China, that is important information which should be made completely clear to consumers before they purchase.
Likewise, referring generally to your pricing information does not address the concern about the substantial “original” prices against which your products are routinely discounted. The issue is not whether a price is displayed on your website, but whether the higher reference prices represent genuine previous selling prices and therefore provide a legitimate basis for the claimed discounts.
I would therefore welcome a specific response to the following:
Are Davies and Cooper a UK-based trading business, or are orders fulfilled by suppliers in China and dispatched directly to UK customers?
Before purchase, where exactly on your website is it clearly stated that goods may have to be returned to China when a customer exercises their statutory cancellation rights?
What is the actual UK trading address from which Davies and Cooper operates, rather than the address displayed for correspondence/contact purposes?
Can you confirm that the “original” prices shown alongside your discounted prices represent genuine prices at which those products were previously offered for sale, rather than inflated reference prices created to make the current price appear substantially more attractive?
I am happy to correct my review if any of the above points are factually incorrect. However, a general statement that your terms are available and that you take compliance seriously does not resolve the specific concerns I raised.
I look forward to a substantive response addressing each point.

Chinese Rubbish
Like all the other reviewers, I've been had by this dishonest company. Their website looks like it’s UK based from an address in Wembley. It is not. It is a drop shop and the goods come from Hong Kong.
I ordered a pair of shoes for a wedding in 7 days time. Assuming they’d be here in time (from a UK Co) I continued with the order until I received an order acknowledgment…with a Hong Kong address!! Alarm bells started ringing so I did a check of the company and found all the negative reviews.
Rather than go through a barrage of emails with them and be met with hurdles, I contact my credit card company. They have given me a temporary refund while they investigate the company/transaction.
*Update* The shoes arrived 15 days after purchase which completely missed the deadline for their intended purpose. They are hideously cheap and nasty and a size too small. The toe box is not existent, the buckles are metal hooks and not even worth £10 let alone £40.
This site should be removed and banned from internet trading. I shall never again buy anything from an unfamiliar seller without first triple checking their reputation.

This company is from China not UK
This company is from China not UK. The dresses took 16 days to vome and were cheap material and very poor made. I could not wear either of them and then realised Returns had to be shipped to China at customers expense.Obviously this is not an option and they know this. I had been conned into thinking I was dealing with a British firm. I am so annoyed with myself for being caught out here.£40 plus of my money wasted. I will never buy from one of thses Chinese sites again. This has been a hard lesson learnt.

Whilst website looks professional it is…
Whilst website looks professional it is a store front for goods you can pay less for elsewhere. From order to delivery was 16days as parcel came from China. Tracking was useless, with no realtime updates. Ordered a pair of shoes which were packed into a bubble wrap envelope and shoved through my letter box by the delivery company. Finally, shoes didn’t fit as they are definitely not a UK size 6 and return costs are down to me and have to be returned directly to China incurring costs that make it pointless sending them back. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS would be my advice.

Warning this company Does not supply from Wembley UK. As they would like you think, items are supplied from China and other countries. Up to now it’s been 12days since we ordered and no sign of delivery yet.
The sandals have finally arrived what a load of rubbish do NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY you have been warned , Wish I could put a photo on here to show the Rubbish they have sent.

Rubbish, avoid at all costs
Unfortunately caught out by this company, I thought they were based in Wembley only to discover they are in fact in Kowloon, China. Sandals don’t fit, they are cream and not white, as advertised. When I looked into their return policy I discovered I would have to cover the return cost to China, obviously there is no point returning as the refund would be minimal if anything at all. Was not aware of “drop shopping” but will be more careful in the future. DO NOT buy from this retailer.

I bought the Women's Orthopaedic Toe Ring Wedge Sandals, which I had bought before and unfortunately lost on holiday. They used to be so comfortable for my feet, which are problematic, but this time around the shoes are terrible. They feel so much cheaper, are very painful between the toes and have an awful smell about them that even several washes can't get rid of. I'm so disapppointed. I used to be able to wear them all the time, but theses ones are really awful.

Lovely embossed red linen Dress (NOT)
I have waited 3 weeks for dress which should have been a red linen..I can’t believe what I have received..it looks home made..white stitching no labels..and a cheap nylon fabric…and we have to pay for returns which apparently will cost around £20.. initially it said it was coming from Wembley…it wasn’t until they sent me the tracking number that I realised it was from Hong Kong..I don’t feel I can be bothered with the hassle of returning it..but I suppose that’s what they hope..never again..I’m ashamed to pass it onto a charity shop..I initially paid £30 for a bit of rag
Stay away everyone

Beware - this is a Drop-Shipper!
Davies & Cooper masquerades as being in Wembley, London when, in fact, it is based in Kowloon, Hong Kong. It is what is known as a “Drop-Shipping” storefront that uses a UK virtual address to pretend to be local. Their Wembley address is actually a residential block of apartments – not a shop at all ... it is a ‘front’ to mislead!
The business operates directly from China or Hong Kong and the goods are shipped from there – not from locally in the UK, as their website cunningly misleads.
Two days ago, I placed an order, cancelled it seven minutes later because I had made a mistake, got an email saying they were “currently experiencing a higher volume of messages" ... etc, etc and they would get back to me within 48-72 hours.
The next morning, Davies & Cooper (D&C) sent an email saying the item was ‘on its way’, followed, an hour later, by another, replying to my cancelling one the day before, explaining (inter alia) it had been “... picked up by our shipper” and helpfully pointing out they offer a 1-hour cancellation window after an order is placed! I’ve checked it on their website since – yes, it’s there - in black and white! The last time I checked, there are 60 minutes in an hour, aren’t there?? My cancellation was made 53 minutes within their own time frame!!
I have, of course, pointed this out to D&C. Sadly, but unsurprisingly, they have not replied. I’ve now had a second shipping email and managed to follow the tracking to their supposed shipper. Despite D&C telling me my purchase was on its way, the shipper is saying it “is waiting to be picked up”.
Fibs on fibs!
I’ve reported all of this to Citizens Advice to send it to Trading Standards. My card provider told me about Drop-Shipping and has suspended my payment and is investigating. An AI search has confirmed Drop-Shipping and says “returning items can be difficult and expensive, as you often have to ship them back to an address in China rather than the local Wembley address”. Why are we allowing this form of ‘concealed’ trading to happen – back to the High Street, please!
Online shopping seemed miraculous once – now it’s so often a hidden nightmare! Be very, very careful about dealing with this company.

A shipment from order #1087 is on the way
You really must NOT tell barefaced and provable lies!
You&Yours on BBC Radio 4 has done a programme this very day about drop-shipping companies like yours. Hopefully, as you are breaking the law by pretending to be based in London and shipping from the United Kingdom when, in fact, you operate out of China ... Kowloon, Hong Kong to be exact, justice will catch up with you very soon. In the meantime, the general public of the UK will be on their guard and it was my credit card company who explained what you are and have suspended your payment from my account. As I managed to refuse your cancelled package, Yodel have informed me it is on its way back to you right now ... at your expense. Hope you’re very pleased with yourselves!
FINAL UPDATE 5 July 2026
Yodel informed me the parcel was now returned - Davies & Cooper did not even manage that level of courtesy - their only communication was to say they would not refund me until the parcel was actually in their hands! My payment has been permanently credited back to my account ... I will never forget Davies & Copper but not in a positive way!
A FURTHER UPDATE 17 July 2026
I have just discovered from my credit card that Davies & Cooper, despite having received their returned goods on 30 June 2026 have STILL not refunded me. The refund on my account was done by my credit card and I now have to go through the full proceedure of providing evidence to them in order for the temporary dispute refund to stand. I've just noticed the reply from Davies & Cooper was done on the day they received the returned goods .... note: they did not acknowledge that in their reply! Why does our government allow businesses, who behave like this, trade in the UK?
