Daymans DIY is a family run DIY and hardware store which has been based in the heart of Leicester since 1928. Our business has been handed down through generations of our family. Founded by William Edward Dayman in 1928 on the same road that we are based today. The shop is currently ran by Steve Dayman (3rd generation) & son Adam Dayman (4th generation). Excellent personal customer service is at the heart of our business and we always have the kettle on and a hot cup of tea for anyone who comes to our store. Whether its to have a brew whilst they wait for their order or to have a browse around the shop. Many of our customers have become friends over the years and we know them by name as they know us. Our shop is an Aladdin's cave of DIY and hardware including: Tools, Paint, Electrical, Building Materials, Plumbing, Garden Materials and more. We currently have over 5000 products on our website which is constantly growing. Our website and customer service are managed solely in house to offer the best service possible. We offer a number of bespoke services such as bespoke builds and free timber cutting.

Fantastic service as always
Fantastic service as always. I love buying things from Daymans. They are always able to give me loads of advice for any project I’m working on. They also just sorted me out a bespoke couple of fence panels which they sorted in no time and dropped off at my house - with free delivery! Couldn’t rate them more highly.

Fantastic bird table, speedy service
I bought a bird table on the website and within an hour and a half it was at my door! Fantastic service and a great product. It is already being used by the local bird population, just what I hoped for! Thanks so much 😀

A successful shopping trip
Daymans was able to supply all of the items on my shopping list. A helpful member of staff located things for me as I have limited mobility and need to use a walking aid.

Trustworthy honest helpful - recommend
Phoned through an order - it was delivered in the evening and carried round to be placed in the back garden just where I requested.
Staff at the shop are always polite and helpful they have a lot of knowledge and advice. Can fully recommend. Always shop here first.

I bought trellis from Daymans. They make it themselves and it's far sturdier than any I've seen. Excellent quality and fab customer service.
