I had a very disappointing experience with Derma Revive while undergoing PicoSure treatment for stubborn melasma.

Despite making it clear from the outset that my pigmentation was deep and persistent, I was treated with what I now understand were very mild settings for the first two sessions — resulting in no pigmentation adjustment despite raising concerns multiple times. The only session that showed visible improvement was with a different practitioner on my fourth visit, which strongly suggests the earlier treatments were underpowered.

The clinic also did not recommend hydroquinone or any prescription-strength treatments at any point — instead suggesting over-the-counter skincare. I’ve since learned that Cynosure (PicoSure's manufacturer) explicitly recommends hydroquinone during treatment to support results and prevent rebound pigmentation. My own dermatologist was surprised that such a key part of the melasma protocol was omitted or simply unknown.

Given the high cost of the treatment course, I expected a more scientific, evidence-based approach. Unfortunately, I feel the clinic did not provide either. If you’re considering PicoSure for melasma, I’d advise doing your research and choosing a provider that truly follows best practices.

I am a very busy and trendy person, and I love this place where I can have all my favourite and popular skin and body treatments done. Staffs are friendly and they deliver good results for me. I now even had teeth whitening in their sister company which is in the same location.
