I am vast knowledge in credit card rates, what is offered by various companies, and what gimmicks many of these companies try to play. I researched over 15 companies, trimming down to three finalists. Dharma was the SECOND cheapest when it came to ALL cost associated with processing credit cards in a high-volume single unit restaurant. We went with Dharma because the sales rep simply answered the questions, did not try to "win" us over, and was straight forward. What made the difference is that Dharma does A LOT for society by donating to many charities and being a responsible business. Being a Rotarian, that matters, and we are willing to go with the SECOND cheapest company for what they stand far. They are also a small company with only a couple dozen employees with extremely low turnover (I also researched the company regarding employee satisfaction rate such as glass door). That means they take really good care of their staff...and that matters!!!

It can be time consuming changing payment providers, but overall a smooth experience. Good service. Like the transparent pricing which is difficult to find in this space. Also get the impression that their rates will not change as long as interchange remains the same. Others lowered there regular monthly fee and actually came out slightly less, but I didn't want to make the change only to find things change afterwards.

I started with Dharma in Dec. 2018 because the fees were a lot less than my bank. Tradeoff is a one day delay in payment, but it is worth it is reduced fees. As business has grown I purchased some used Poynt machines and it really didn't occur to me that they are "permanently" linked to whoever the merchant was who had them. I asked the support team for assistance in getting them linked to my account and I can say the team was very responsive and worked on the issue. As you may know some merchant service providers "sell" a Poynt device for a low price if you sign a contract with them and they charge higher fees. These machines are virtually impossible to get switched over because that merchant provider does not want someone else to use their machine. I got assistance from Denieal in customer support and she did a great job and so far I have 2 machines switched to my account. I love the Poynt machines but they are expensive for a small business (hit hard by COVID too) so this worked out great. Thanks for all the help. And one thing, no matter how good you are sometimes things don't go right. For those who had a bad experience with Dharma I think it was just unfortunate because I have had great help from them all along.
AVOID AVOID AVOID! Very sketchy mishandling of our account. Dharma allowed a fraudulent terminal to be created with our merchant ID, without verifying its authenticity with us the owners. As a result, our account was hit with fraudulent refunds in excess of $3,000 until Dharma noticed and finally put in security, 3 MONTHS LATER. Even so, they NEVER told us about the breach, instead reprogramming our terminal and reissuing our merchant ID without any explanation as to why. When we noticed the incongruous charges, they claimed it is OUR responsibility for the funds, not theirs. They are on very shakey legal ground here. SOMETHING VERY BAD IS HAPPENING AT DHARMA. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

The communication from beginning to end was literally perfect. I'm just not sure what else I could say??? Perfect.
We switched from another provider after extensive online vetting and then telephone contact with the top three companies that had the services we needed. The highest rated company and most recommended from an online review site failed miserably. High pressure tactics and a disconnect in pricing and services from what was advertised. The second company offered similar pricing but Dharma won out based on their virtual terminal application and reporting. Perhaps I got lucky, but the sales agent I dealt with was very knowledgeable about their products. The application process was relatively simple and the approval process did not take long. As with any new vendor, there were minor initial glitches which our sales agent guided us through them same day! Unheard of in today’s world of take a number and we will call you back! We operate a brick and mortar business with moderate volume, about half of our sales over the counter and the rest recurring. Dharma was the perfect fit for rates, services, and reporting for our business.

First of all, let me say...they have the cheapest processing fee and the NOT the best customer service. After repeated calls and emails, I finally got setup, but they can’t download the program on my existing equipment! Wowwww, the equipment they want me to buy is an extra $350+ or cancel the already approved account and reapply with another fresh application.
I’ve decided to continue as of now and see what other challenges I’ve to face in the future. Just a tip for the sales team, please respond to the customers email and phone calls, it’s very inexpensive way to keep them happy for a longer term. Thanks and I appreciate all the help and the inconvenience they have caused, because I know God has his blessings on the people who believe and follow him, irrespective of the things that life throws @ you! God bless all the good fellas @ your company!

Was promised next day funding when I signed up. Over a year in and was told it was me not batching out in time. After many support emails it was found my account was not configured properly on the back end. Still didn't work after that was corrected. Then it was my clover batch time set incorrectly. Then it was found I am on an older clover system back end and my batch time had to be set to 2PM Pacific time. Even though thats not what was promised upon signing up. Then I agreed to have it set to 1:50PM to make sure I could at least batch out sales from part of the days sales and get next day funding. It was set for 6:50AM! 3 emails now about it not being set right and I am not even getting a response. Sorry but they guys promise and don't deliver. Now I am stuck with non-reprogrammable equipment. Looking for alternatives to move my 100k a month in processing too.
