We really are passionate about cardboard...
Direct Global Trading Boxes is a family-owned, mail order business based in the heart of Yorkshire. Back in 2016, we became really excited about cardboard! Fast forward to today and millions of boxes and thousands of house moves later, we’re still in love with the stuff!
Our cardboard boxes are made right here in God’s own country! We’re proud to use 100% recycled materials in our boxes meaning that our boxes are 100% recycled, 100% recyclable and 100% reusable. Now that’s pretty amazing, even if we do say so ourselves!
Over the next few years, our aim is to continue to be clever with cardboard as we introduce new and innovative products to our range – all in the name of making your lives easier!

Great last time, really poor this time
Used them seven years ago and had a brilliant experience, so bought boxes again this time.
Ordered boxes Friday for next day delivery, so they should have been here Monday. Messaged at 4pm asking where they were to be told they had been damaged in transit and they sent me a picture. Had I not chased it I don't think I'd have found out!
So now I have to drive a long way to the nearest town to get overpriced boxes from a shop and it's extra hassle when we're moving on Thursday!
Very disappointing as they were so great last time I moved!!

Awful company
I'm very unhappy with my experience with this company, which is absurd given the lack of negative reviews they receive. I purchased some of these boxes through B&Q, as they were a verified seller, and all of their reviews were great, and the boxes seemed really great quality and exactly what we need for our upcoming house move. I placed my order on Tuesday due to the 'free next day delivery' on this item and as I ordered past 12, it meant that it would be the following day and they did not arrive on Wednesday, or Thursday and not Friday either so I got in touch and the tracking had not even been updated, the order had been in the 'process' but had not been despatched and I got in touch and got a simple 'oh sorry this order was not fulfilled' yet I had paid for it and was expecting delivery two days ago as stated at checkout and via email? They asked if I wanted a replacement or a refund, and I said that if they could be with me by the weekend, then a replacement would be fantastic, but they could not offer this, so they processed a refund. I then made the grave mistake of ordering with the same company but through Amazon, as that also stated they would be delivered the next day, on Saturday, 7th March, and did they turn up? I got an email to say they're delayed and not due till the 11th March. I'm hoping to receive the boxes by this date, as Amazon offers refunds on orders later than three days, if not. I am very disappointed with how my experience has been despite not a single bad review, so I wonder if my review will exist or if it will be deleted/removed.

False advertising
False advertising. Bought these boxes in a rush, advertised as large, but they're a fraction of the size of the actual large boxes I have been using, they are actually only slightly bigger than the small boxes I already have. Absolute waste of my money and failed to provide the tape advertised, offered partial refund for the lack of tape, but ignored my comments regarding box size and false advertising.

Poor quality
Purchased these boxes in late 2024 when I was packing out. The large boxes were used mainly to pack clothes and some files. They were put in storage unit for a year. Now that they have been delivered I can assess their quality: EXTREMELY POOR. Many boxes split or tore. Tape did not stick well. Too much external writing made ID-ing difficult. Other boxes purchased or scavenged from the shops fared much better.

Terrible Delivery Service & Attitude
Bought a set of 47 litre boxes from Direct Global Trading (DGTB) via their Amazon shop, ready for an urgent move. Waited in an entire day as promised, but no response from them or their chosen deliverer Evri when their schedule failed. Wrote to DGTB via the Amazon messaging portal to be told the following day that Evri would be delivering that day; that never happened either. Apparently, DHTB, Evri and Amazon can't manage this delivery between them, but offered it regardless. Waiting for a refund. If that doesn't come, then Small Claims Court.
Edit - DGTB have stated they'll process a refund, but we'll see. If you look at the other low-star reviews, you'll see how belligerent and argumentative DGTB are when they get criticised. It's the sort of inherent arrogance I won't suffer again from them.

A first order so was a little dubious as to what the quality of the boxes would be like. Ordered on Friday evening, arrived Saturday lunchtime and the standard is superb. Once I've packed up the boxes from this order I will be back for more. A proper business, thank you.

Really great boxes
Really great boxes! I ordered twice and they came within a few days! The boxes are sturdy (occasionally the handles holes would tear but there are four on each box so it wasn’t an issue) Each order comes with tape which was so helpful and they stack really well! Would definitely recommend

I ordered boxes on the 28th of…
I ordered boxes on the 28th of November. It was a so called next day delivery. Today is the 4th of December, I am checking out of the hotel where I am holidaying. No box has come. I asked for a refund. No response! I am so annoyed! No one picks up the emails to read and respond promptly. I will soon be taking the matter up with the financial ombudsman!

Excellent service from Direct Global
My order of packing cartons and bubble wrap was delivered quickly. I have a mixture of large and very large packing cartons and they are light but strong and very easy to assemble and stack when full. I also ordered 3 large laundry bags which are large enough to take a duvet + pillow or a good quantity of clothing. All in all, a great service.

Great sized sturdy boxes
Great sized boxes, fit lots of stuff in and yet not too heavy or cumbersome to carry. They are quite strong when taped right and stack well. Delivery was quick.
