I have been waiting for 2 months to get my server approved, worst service ever

I've been using Disboard for about a year now, although it wasn't giving me the amount of members I wanted on my server, it was giving me quite a lot (in terms of people who come from advertising).

As of last month, Disboard decided to ban me from their service for no reason that they can come up with.

I wrote a reddit post saying exactly what this review is saying right now, but the support said that they have no idea why I am banned, nor can they actually appeal the ban because the support server has been gone for quite some time.

This is quite outrageous to say the least, and I would very like to speak to someone from Disboard that could get my account unbanned.

The crappy moderation decides to ban me after 7 months after removing my troll server. Then when I try to explain it to them, they give me a completely different answer. Seriously, did you hire those clowns from the Roblox moderation??? Disboard was good, but now it's just terrible. Also, the homepage is FULL of NSFW servers. Like, can you remove them for people who are signed out??? I'm glad I got banned. Disboard is horrible. DO NOT USE.

C'est une honte. Tous les nouveaux serveurs ajoutés sont "under review" grâce à un système mis en place par le créateur. Est-ce qu'il a été menacé d'une façon ou d'une autre que son site ferme si il ne fait rien contre les serveurs douteux ? C'est à se demander car il fait vraiment n'importe quoi en voulant gérer ça tout seul et en faisant attendre des mois et des mois, sachant que ça deviendra de pire en pire au fil du temps. Le site est en train de couler à cause de ça.

Préférez des alternatives comme discord.me et top.gg

Literally the most useless site ever, the staff suck, reviews are infinite, the bot is broken, etc. A old server i used to mod was taken down by a administrator who retaliated by changing the description of the server to racist remarks, when the owner of the server contacted Disboard to tell them the mistake they made Disboard never looked at the previous description and would not budge into putting the server back up. The other time was when a antifurry server got taken down because the name of it had the word “anti” in it, and as always the support team of Disboard was garbage.

Poor customer service and rude. Don't use this site !

idk what happened to disboard but it's impossible to get servers up since they are stuck in "under review" purgatory for months on end

best off using top.gg or another service that actually works

I don’t know what happened to Disboard but as a server owner, that enjoys growing my servers and releasing new servers, Disboard has become an annoyance. Their bot is down so many times making it impossible to bump the existent servers. They are making it impossible for new servers to be launched by having this ridiculous “under review” thing, I have one server that has been under review for a week now and nothing has happened and I have seen people who had their servers under review for a longer period than me. It’s extremely ridiculous. And don’t get me started on the Cloudfare thing, extremely annoying!!! Clearly they don’t care what people want so if there is anyone out there experienced in making websites like Disboard please make one that is better than this bs so we can have a proper site that doesn’t just annoys and pisses everyone off.

The most trash website I have ever seen in my entire life. You can't click anything without getting rate-limited. Like why do you get rate-limited so fast and all the time? You can go to your settings/dashboard without getting rate-limited.

Hope disboard fixes this.

Customer relations, staff and even the people who talk on the support server are complete poo

Can't have a civilized conversation in there, everyone is immature and the staff aren't being staff, they just sit back and watch and are also immature and don't deserve their positions.

For a website that hosts a ton of discord servers, these guys are a joke, don't expect fairness and maturity from these guys or the users of the service in the support server because you will not get it.

Be careful of sharing your idea's and opinions as if they have a group of friends or people that know each other and they disagree with you, they won't let it go and they will create drama out of it and get on you for how bad they think it was, the entire group will in fact! So please be careful while treading this jungle.

Very upset & very disappointed at the complete immaturity and overall disgusting behavior from everyone in the support server.

If you're looking to promote your discord server then their service is second to none but if you're looking for support, help and positive feedback then run for the hills, most of the people here are keyboard warriors, trolls and ignorant children.

Honestly it feels like Disboard is a whole ass joke. Moderators don't look at reports and don't care for them either. It takes FOREVER to get your server reviewed and users are mostly scammers

Sites like Disboard that uses CloudFlare does not give people a contact page outside of their own site. So, people are left fending for themselves when CloudFlare has an endless captcha loop. Which prevents them from seeing contact pages on sites using CloudFlare. So, technical support is a joke at this point. Unless sites like Disboard removes CloudFlare's endless captcha loop, people will complain on Trustpilot in the meantime. Unfortunately, Trustpilot uses CloudFlare for people who request support. So, Trustpilot is another useless site when trying to seek help when CloudFlare's endless captcha loop of hell happens. It's pretty sad knowing site owners care about profit more than people these days by using horrible things like CloudFlare that prevents harmless users from accessing sites. It's showing that civilization is declining when people cannot seek help on particular sites because ridiculous things like CloudFlare make them fend for themselves. Unfortunately, society is heavily dependent on the internet. So, CloudFlare is going to make lower-class citizens suffer while rich people are allowed access on sites more easily. Stuff like this is making lower-class people struggle even more. Which is destroying civilization when things like CloudFlare are controlled by those who care about profit more than actually helping people. This is late stage capitalism.

..while the service was really useful, but we were also aware of the potential malice it simultaneously allowed.

So we spent a long time preparing the server for all kinds of eventual scenarios an attacker would do on our server.

Our server has been using Disboard for 2+ years now..still in good standing for now.

Even after a successful nuke from a malicious actor from DSC advertising bot, we still got back on our feet and even now I was thinking of setting Disboard back up..

..but as I read the reviews here, particularly the 1-2 stars..

..there does indeed seems to be some common themes/issues with the way the review system is set up:

1. Reviews cannot be given immediately after leaving a server.

While understandably to protect the interests of the existing legitimate servers by not allowing bad actors review bomb a server to hell, but servers that are indeed bad actors themselves might because of this delayed review submission process move on to survive..which brings this to..

2: Malicious actors can review bomb legit servers in an effort to bring down legit servers, further promoting malicious servers. Malicious actors have more incentive to post reviews and more of them than legit users with legit concerns, especially when they cannot even post them on immediately leaving a server. In most cases, legit users will have want nothing to do with a bad server within the first day of leaving to ever return to it again. And don't even talk about positive reviews.. reviews like those come once in a blue moon.. unless you have some means to post positive reviews from within the discord bot itself, maybe.. use zapier?

Alternative proposal:
Instead of a delayed review submission, I strongly recommend you to implement a user reputation system as such as many other big corporations are doing so already, such as Amazon, Quora, Reddit, etc.

Reputation separates the fraud accounts from the legit accounts and their words and hence, reviews hold much more weight than newer accounts which are often used by bad actors to escape punishment.

Whether a server is deemed good or bad, should not be based on a single review, and in fact should be based on a collective weight of reputation. With again, high reputation users carrying more weight.
Upon breaching a specified weight threshold, you can then consider said server as bad.

We really wish Disboard can overcome these challenges, especially in the AI era. Maybe use AI to help you filter out these sites, so that you won't have to be bogged down so much?

Disboard doesn't take reports seriously or lets you leave reviews after you leave a Discord server. I got harassed and threatened by a swarm of racist and homophobic Dolts in a server called "MD Crackhouse" that said they were gonna come to my house and "drug me with vaccines then kill me" because I'm an anti-vax that fell for a sick "joke" about CP that they made.
Reports should be taken seriously and we should be allowed to leave reviews after we leave a server.

I can't add a server. I get "This server is currently under review" and no change in days. Since Disboard is now useless, I think I will make a Disboard alternative. It's fairly trivial to program.

Disboard was fine until I was userbanned due to power abuse by the moderators of the Disboard website. They shove their fandom politics (and God knows what other politics) down your throat and if they don't like what they see, even if your servers ARENT against their guidelines and ToS, they will ban you and your servers, abusing their own rules and abusing their users.

Disboard have really gone down the toilet, what was once a really good website to advertise and find servers is now a site held together by a few threads of string. You can't do anything on disboadd without running into an error, the bot is so unresponsive it's unreal. The worst thing is the review system, 25 days and people are still waiting, whereas others get their servers reviewed within minutes, don't bring this up in the support server though, the staff themselves are actually alright, it's either the helpers or the people who want staff, that are incredibly passive aggressive or just rude.
