The entire trip was incredible! The staff was so knowledgeable. The captain & chef were top notch! Excursions....hiking, bears, salmon, history, glaciers, whales, porpoise, seals, puffins and so much more. Best trip ever! The food...oh the food. We are foodies and they offered every recipe. Trip of a lifetime.

Absolutely loved the small boat cruise! The activities were fun, the crew was friendly and knowledgeable and the food was fantastic!!! I would definitely recommend this experience!!! The absolute best way to experience the sound!

Our journey was amazing! Puffins, whales, eagles, lots of sea otters, seals, and soooo many glaciers (my favorite part!). Fantastic food, great stories from Cap’n Dean (and a wealth of knowledge, too), excellent crew, and wonderful traveling companions! I loved it!

We saw so much wildlife and glaciers galore! The crew was amazing and enthusiastic about all that Alaska has to offer, which is a lot. Great food too. Highly recommend.

The Captain and crew were very knowledgeable, friendly and caring! We were taken to many beautiful locations, seeing amazing glaciers and beautiful waterfalls. We saw Puffins, Sea Lions, Seals, Humpback Whales, Otters, Mountain Goats, Eagles, a Bear and many birds. They took us on a wonderful hike near a glacier and our family group went kayaking near the glacier. Our wonderful Chef made us the most delicious meals, with special desserts to celebrate our special events! Everything about our voyage was wonderfully amazing and memorable! They made our family feel like their family. I will never forget them or our extraordinary trip!

This was the trip of a life time and the best way to see Prince William Sound! Captain Dean and Meg made it so worthwhile and the boat with it's history and ability to get us to places we might otherwise have not been able to get to made this such a unique experience. I would do it again in a heartbeat!

This was the most amazing trip we have ever taken! I honestly didn't know what to expect and I was blown away. I feel like I really got to experience Alaska in a way that no one else can unless they see it with Dean and Meg. The food was DELICIOUS (I gained 11 pounds if that tells you how good it was)! It really felt like we were family on the boat. The hikes and kayaks were spectacular. I can't say enough how much we LOVED this trip and are already trying to figure out how we can do it again.

It's hard to go wrong visiting Prince William Sound, but with the knowledgeable staff of the Discovery our trip was epic! The entire staff is friendly kind and generous with their time and knowledgeable of the area and the wildlife that inhabits it! They do a great job of balancing downtime and exciting activities for the perfect vacation. The food was amazing.

Captain Dean’s knowledge of Prince William Sound was phenomenal and his stories were engaging. Fantastic meals and knowledgeable and friendly guides. A 5 star trip!

It has been 10 months since our trip and I remember every detail wonderfully vividly. We came to holiday in Alaska via a convoluted turn of events, and discovering Discovery Voyages seemed almost too good to be true.
The reality was every bit as good as we hoped. The boat and cabins are comfortable and just as described, and the catering is terrific. The views are spectacular if you just wish to cruise but there are plenty of off-boat activities available too.
Megan and Dean are highly professional but also approachable, their guides are extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and you really feel the passion they all have for the environment in which they live and work. Put yourself in their care and they will show you the best Prince William Sound has to offer.
I would go back tomorrow if I could, and book an even longer trip.

This was by far the most amazing trip I have ever taken. I could have listened to Captain Dean all day. His knowledge of the area, going back decades, was absolutely fascinating. The entire crew was able to pivot and change course as the weather or other factors changed. The food was stelar. I am so happy that I was able to buy Meg's cookbook.

Capt. Dean and his crew know how to make an adventure fun and wonderful, no matter the weather! They are always welcoming, work to make us comfortable, and find the best places to be in Prince William Sound for each moment. Capt. Dean is always willing to share his vast historic and nature knowledge, which adds to the experience.

Our trip on Discovery, Sept 4-8, 2024 was wonderful. Dean, Meg, Hugh Rose, and Jocelyn took great care of us, and were always sharing their knowledge of Prince William Sound and making sure that we saw and learned about the wildlife there. The three shore excursions and kayaking very near Surprise Glacier were great. All of Meg's meals were delicious. Dean and crew obviously care a great deal about Prince William Sound, and they spare no effort to make sure that their passengers have a wonderful time there. I highly recommend Discovery Voyages.

It was a great trip and great crew, in spite of not great weather we found plenty to do and took advantage of any weather breaks to get outside. Great food, comfortable lodging and very knowledgeable guides. Would highly recommend to others. Exceeded all expectations!

The crew was friendly and helpful, scenery gorgeous, and the food fabulous.

My husband and I had an amazing adventure aboard the Discovery! The crew were extremely helpful and knowledgable about the area. Megan was a first-rate gourmet chef for every meal and appetizer. I've never eaten better! Dean was so enthusiastic and hard-working as the captain of the boat and a wealth of knowledge regarding the glaciers, the history of the area and the general facts specific to Price William Sound. The Discovery took us through the Sound and its fjords and we witnessed breathtaking views throughout the trip from the bow of the boat, from the land on bear trails or from the water in kayaks. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience!
