This is the absolute WORST company to…
This is the absolute WORST company to borrow money from!!
I had a bathroom remodel. The construction said we could do financing. Ok, cool. They run us through a couple loan companies to see who we would qualify for. Dividend ended up being the one. The construction company explained my monthly payments and we agreed okay cool. A few months to a year later, I call Dividend to see how much I have left to pay. I know it's alot, but trying to keep finances in order.... the amount they tell me is OVER my original total. What the heck?!?! Makes no sense. I have been paying monthly payments ever since I needed to start paying them. They tell me it's the interest, but doesn't go into detail. I get furious because there is no way that is legit. I hang up and just stop thinking about it. I leave it alone for about a year. I still make my monthly payments. About a year later, I just get off the phone with them. My total is STILL HIGHER than my total amount. I asked what the hell? I am furious again. What company hijacks their prices when you are making monthly payments on them? Dividend then tells me that there is 4% interest accrusing DAILY!! DO WHAT NOW? Nobody said this!! She proceeds to tell me this is what I signed up for. UM NO. Not one person from the financial institution reached out to me to explain this crap. I talked with the construction company, who has no authority to explain the finances. I would never have signed with a company who fraudently takes advantage of situations causing you to pay more than you should be paying. There is no company that I have ever signed with that causes your total to increase if you make monthly payments.
I hope the IRS gets involved with them and shuts them down. They deserve to go out of business.
Customer service is horrible
Customer service is horrible. They took out 4, yes 4 payments for a single month. Then credited them back. They called saying since 4hey credited too much, we owed them a payment. Never during the conversation was it mentioned that they credited the monthly payment. They allowed it to become a late payment. Now they want another payment to make up for it. Any conversation with them is confusing and not fully honest. Avoid doing business with them at all costs.
Half of my 1st payment was interest?
I had a front entry and storm door installed. I sent my first payment that was 3.5 times the contract amount. My next billing showed that half of the payment went to interest.
I was told the interest started when the door was finished. Per my contract my first payment was due months later. I had no idea.
Customer Service?? Where?
Day two of trying to get customer service to call me! This is ridiculous. And the message says customer service is important...hmm. Seriously thinking of taking a loan out elsewhere if this is what I am dealing with.
No one will answer their phone
We had a loan with them to pay for a new roof. We had a promotion to pay it off by a certain date to receive zero interest charges. In the beginning I had a hard time setting up an automatic payment each month. I was finally able to get ahold of someone and they helped me set it up. When it came time to pay it off, I went online to my account. There isn't any link to cancel/amend an automatic payment. So I thought I would setup another ACH for the payoff amount, thinking that it would cancel the first one. NOOO! It added another payment. I kept track and over the course of 3 days I made well over 125 calls to both numbers they have. If it didn't ring then go to a "leave a message and we'll call you back" announcement, it would immediately announce that "your call can not go through as dialed, please call again later". The first ACH was deducted from our account on a Sunday. The second one was set to come out on the next business day, Monday. I found a link to send an email and I sent a harsh email asking that ANYONE please call me. I explained what I was trying to do. Someone finally did call me and they straightened out the second ACH to pay the remaining balance.
Customer service is nonexistent at this…
Customer service is nonexistent at this business.
I am installing solar, and Davided sent me an email stating that the project had been finished and that if it hadn't, I should call customer service, which I did. When the representative picked up the phone, it seemed like she didn't give a damn. I tried to convey to her that the job was not finished, but all I get back is, essentially, "Call the solar company." Hence, they sent me an email asking me to notify them if the job was not finished. bottom line i can tell they have no customer service. I wish I had done my homework to call them first.
Use any other company
I wish I had read the reviews more carefully before doing business with this company. Customer service is a misnomer. There is none. There is only a department that assures you they will look into the issue and get back to you which, in my case, took several more phone calls and then 18 days of extra interest charges later, an explanation that they couldn't do anything about the extra interest charges. I spoke with customer service, supervisor and then manager outside of the billing department, as the supervisor in the billing department said he does not have the authority to reverse interest charges. Each time I was told someone would return my call. Finally I refused and insisted I would hold for the next person since they don't return calls for 2 or more "Business days" allowing them to tack on more interest. They apparently want to make it as difficult as possible to payoff a loan early. I am still on hold trying to get out of their clutches. Please, take my advise, save yourself the headaches, and use any other company!
We were sold solar panels under false…
We were sold solar panels under false pretenses. Dividend was the finance company. We had 3 days to decide we wanted the solar panels. Our solar panels were not install until 2 months after we signed our contract. Our solar company was PHS/PE. We have had our solar panels for 9 months and have produced nothing. Now the company has declared bankuptcy. We are still expected to pay for a system that is not working. Very bad experience and we have damage to our roof from PE. They drilled holes in our roof then realized they didn't hit a stud. So they moved the solar panels and now we have damage to the ceiling in our home.
Dividend Financial and Solar Scam - Questionable Business practices
Dividend Finance provided a loan to a solar company (PowerHome Solar/Pink Energy) that semi-installed faulty equipment. The Dividend Finance company paid in full the loan to the solar company prior to the job being finished. Dividend Finance is now holding me accountable to pay a loan for a job/service/product that does not work and has never worked. This company is suspected to be a part of questionable business practices.
A non-producing solar system
This is because we were lent money for a solar system from PHS/Pink Energy and the company is a scam and DF knew it. The customer service sucks and since day one of our first complaint DF has done nothing to assist us and now wants to act like they will lay off payments for 4 months because they know they are guilty and that their LLC is taking advantage of people just like PINK did, they are one in the same.
PREDATORY LOANS/FRAUD!!!!!
The good reviews here must be from DF employees because there is no way this company will get more than 1 Star review. They offer PREDATORY SOLAR LOANS thru Pink Energy, and now they are acting like they didn't know what was happening. FNI and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Please look into this loan shark institution.
Buyer Beware
Last spring I hired a solar company to install a system. They recommended Dividend Finance. The system is still not operational and yet I'm expected to make my payments. They pay the installers without any accountability that the job is completed. I do not recommend using them. After reading other reviews I'm now worried about having issues with my payments.
I want to know how many more loans for…
I want to know how many more loans for Pink energy you have given out KNOWING that Pink energy is scamming their customers. You have plenty of customers that are telling you as well as customers that have stopped payments on their loans. You are practicing deceptive business practices just as they are if you are still lending money to unsuspecting victims of this company. I will not stop until this loan gets paid off by Pink or whoever.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! LOTS OF 1 STAR RATINGS!
As I look at other reviews, I see the company responded, but the reviews don't show that they were ever resolved.
We got a new front door from a company and they told us to sign up with Dividend Finance so that we would not have to put down a deposit, even though we were willing to do that. They said it wouldn't matter because the financing would not start until the job was completed. Our door was installed in Feb., but when their inspector came to look at it, he said we needed a whole new door. They weren't able to get us the new one until June 16. Then their inspector came last week, and said it was good now. We have been getting notices from Dividend saying we are past due. After repeated calls between us, the door company and Dividend, I finally spoke today with Jessica in the complaint department. I explained it all to her and she first said she "couldn't" do anything about taking this off our credit report. After I told her I knew that she could, she finally admitted that she "WOULD NOT" because we have had a door and should have been paying on it.
If this is how they handle issues, I will do my best not to do business with them and suggest everyone else do the same.
FOLLOW UP: I called 3 more times after the company posted this reply. I was told that there was a message in for the manager to call me. A couple weeks later, and I have still not ever been called back by a manager (or anyone else). I did receive a letter saying they reviewed our file and they did everything as they should have done. Just confirmed my opinion of them that they do not care at all about their customers! Really makes me doubt the people are who gave them 5 stars? Especially since there are not many reviews in the middle...mostly 5's or 1's

They Don't Think of the Customers
Always paid on time and never missed a payment. I decide to put in my final payment as a big lum sum one time payment through the website. Received an email that it was received, even called the next day to make sure my account was going to be closed. Everything checked out until my payment bounce. Apparently I had put in the wrong routing. They never called back to let me know and let me sit there and stack more interest on the account (It accrued daily). When I was finally able to talk to a manager he told me they don't do call backs if payment fails, they don't even send an email. When I complained and asked why they don't notify their customers about these things the manager said we have hundreds of thousands of customers and that everything is done manually over at this company. I guess 1 customers problems don't matter in the scoop of a large amount like that. I ended up having to pay extra interest since they couldn't do anything about this. Just wondering why I was having to do all the contacting and they don't reach out for anything. The excuse was at the time I called back to double check my payment, was that everything in the system was correct. Later when they saw that something wasn't right they didn't bother to reach out, I found myself reaching out on my own.

I chose not to write a review with Gator Metal roof. I only recommend this company if changes are made. My only positive would be they did complete the work correctly after several problems.
