Doctor Fran — see a licensed Ontario doctor by phone, no OHIP needed. Doctor Fran is an Ontario telemedicine service that makes it simple to speak with a licensed physician — even if you don't have OHIP, a health card, or a family doctor. Every physician on Doctor Fran is licensed to practise in Ontario and registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), so you're always speaking with a real, qualified doctor. We built Doctor Fran for the many people in Ontario who fall through the cracks of the health system: international students, visitors, newcomers waiting for their OHIP card, work permit holders, anyone whose card is lost or expired, and people who have OHIP but can't get in to see a family doctor. Here's how it works. You download the app, create an account, and verify your identity. You tell us what you need, pay a transparent flat fee of $82 per consultation, and a physician calls you — usually the same day. Where clinically appropriate, they can provide sick notes, prescriptions and refills, specialist referrals, mental health support, lab requisitions, and more, delivered right in the app. No waiting rooms. No health card required. No hidden fees or subscriptions. Your information is kept private and secure in line with Ontario's privacy laws (PHIPA).
