I was at the new location on king street Waterloo.Ir took 2 managers to solve my problem.I bought a bag of chips with my items the Fri before and they wouldnt honor my item on the receipt that I brought.The lady at the desk forgot to give them to me.When I spike to the manager in charge she finally gave me my chips but very bad customer service

Self checkout attendant treated me like i was stupid at Rylander location in Toronto. I can't even open up a bag they provided to start scanning until she said to just go to cash cause i took too long. I didn't even scan anything yet, I was just getting the bag ready. I have been using self checkouts for years, I know how it works. I know how to use self checkouts and do not appreciate being treated like that. It wasn't even busy there was no reason for her to do that. This happened on November 9, 2023

I wish I could give 0/5 stars about my experience. For my son's school project I purchased some stuff and his teacher had requested for something different so I went to return for it. Upon reaching the store I was told about their store policy so I asked if I can get store credit so I was told even that is not allowed. So next time I would rather spend extra money and buy stuff from wallmart where I can have ease of mind of being able to return things compare to dollarama,
The Dollarama store self serve machines keep some of the returned change, store regularly deceives customers with lower shelf prices.
The Dollarama store self serve machines, are rigged to keep a portion of customers' change, usually 5 to 25 cents at a time. To accomplish this, the machines eject most of the change, except a small portion, which only ejects about 60 seconds later, after the initial change is ejected, and the customer long gone . The staff then remove the remaining change, presumably for the management to pocket for themselves. I have seen this many times at the self serve machines, basically theft. Another tactic, is for the machines to return perfectly good coins initially, which serves to confuse customers who are making a change count. Calls to Calgary management, receive a standard reply that they will 'fix' the 'defective' machine. Nothing is done. The 'defective' Coinstar technology, which these machines employ, guarantee that keeping a portion of customers' money is built into the system. To make matters worse, Dollorama stores also cheat by posting lower prices on the shelves, versus those at the checkout. They do this regularly, and calls for a full refund of the price are thwarted with hostile 'manager not here' excuses from the staff. This is a very brazen attempt to swindle extra money out of Canadian customers, while openly flouting consumer protection laws. If the price at checkout is higher than advertised, you keep the item AND are fully refunded. Dollorama doesn't want customers to know this. For your own interest, do not shop at this store.

I purchased two meteor chocolate bars in the store on September 29, 2023 at Brownsline Etobicoke. At home after removing packaging the chocolate had bloomed and the outside of the bar was white and tasted off.
Their complaint process on line is time consuming and they should have live service agents when calling their customer service number.

I went into the Dollarama on 785 Dakota Street. The clerk rang through my order and gave me the appropriate change for the items I was purchasing.
I thought the experience was decent, not necessarily too interested in the customers, but did their jobs. I bought Pepsi I wanted for a QR code promotion for 3 months of free music. Found out the QR scanner in a new feature on computers, my version was too old to use it. Pepsi for $1 is cheaper, than the $1.25 I paid for a smaller bottle. At least I got my Pepsi.
Your customer service is terrible
Dollarama's exchange policy is terrible. How can every other store in the world accept refunds/exchanges except for this one. Bought a $4 bag but while she was ringing it up realized it was the wrong kind. I went back in and grabbed the one I needed. Got back in line to get to the same cashier and said I just bought this bag 2min ago but wanted to exchange for a cheaper one. After two other people were contacted including the manager, was told I couldn't exchange AFTER 2 MINUTES??!! I said, "keep the more expensive one, I'll take the cheaper one" Nope, it ruins their inventory. Dollarama, your customer service is awful and this policy doesn't make sense. Not shopping there ever again.

Dollarama Innisfil Beach Road- horrid customer service from the manager in regards to refunds or exchanges. Long story short, my kids were to buy two drinks however, went to the wrong section and bought one. I went back in with them within 5 minutes not knowing of the exchange policy but was rudely told “it’s right there on the receipt; no.” This interaction was with a manager which I wouldn’t expect over $1.40. Highly inappropriate and unnecessary. And in my honest opinion, your store policy should be so locked tight that you can’t exchange a damn drink; that is over the top ridiculous! I get refunds but exchanges? Wow. BTW, Happy Victoria Day to us…. Smh
