I’m new to this paint, so the full curing time hasn’t passed yet. However, from what I’ve seen so far, it’s easy to mix and goes on smoothly. If you’re using it indoors, it is a messy job, so waterproof floor coverings are definitely recommended.

At first, the colour is quite difficult to judge, as it changes over time and builds with additional coats. I purchased Super White and could clearly see the colour developing as the paint dried.

So far, I’m pleased with how it applies and how the finish is forming.

I wanted to know more about linseed paint. I searched for suppliers, found Earles, requested a paint card and was sent one. I found the information it provided helpful.

Great service. Fast postage. Paint sample colour looks good so will be buying a full size tin to use.

I made sure I used the claypaint within the 3 month date window - but it absolutely stank. Like a farmyard. My hallway absolutely reeks and the smell just won't go. The paint dried with a kind of cracked appearance and flaked off in places. Awful, and had caused a horrendous amount of extra work to try to put right. Avoid due to the heinous smell.

48 hour delivery arrived 3 days late completely messing up my work schedule. In fairness to Earles this appears to be completely Royal Mail/Parcelforce's issue and they kindly credited me the postage charge

Ordered 2/12/25 and as of 9/12/25 no sign of delivery.

Great service. Well packaged and finish is great. Used on timbers in listed building. Definitely recommend.

Used this paint in both matt and gloss. I am extremely happy with it and would recommend it to anyone. There are different reviews from people using it, but as long as you do your prep right, then it goes on beautifully and leaves an amazing finish. But do not take my word for it, get some samples and try them. Please note that the gloss version of the paint reads differently from the matt samples on the colour chart, so please always test before committing to a big tin.

Ordered clay based paint in the afternoon and it was delivered the following morning, the paint itself looks amazing in the living room of our old cottage, far better than I was expecting! The information sheets that came with the paint were very helpful, the paint is great value... Love it!

I ordered 3 buckets of mineral paint from this company. Disappointed with the paint so wanted to return 2 buckets for a refund, still unopen and new, FYA I am still within 14 days of delivery according to their T&Cs. Some guy called David emailed me back after a few days saying "Thanks for getting in contact. Yes we can either organise the return for you or you can return the items to us yourself. Cost for us to arrange either a collection or return labels which will be £10.00 plus VAT. Let me know what you would like to do and we can get a collection or return labels organised for you if required. Kind Regards, David". So I emailed back confirming £10 + VAT is fine and that I would like them to organize the return label. It's been 2 weeks and nothing. I emailed them a few times again and again but no reply. What is going on? Order #8230 & #8759. Also, with regards to the quality of the paint, I am disappointed as the paint is definitely not smooth. I did everything as per instructions, 1:1 ratio with water, properly mixed, surface primed etc. They say to use within 2 hours once mixed. I don't know how is that possible because this paint dries too quickly and it isn't workable after 15-20 minutes. After 20 minutes it thickens up like a dough and it's too thick to apply evenly or smoothly, leaving the painted area look rough and rustic. Quite disappointed with this company. Can you contact me back and organize the return label so I can return the unused paints for a refund???
