I would strongly encourage anyone considering working for or supporting this company to think carefully.
I previously worked in the head office and was a top performer—consistently one of the highest earners every month for nearly two years. Despite that, I did not feel genuinely valued by senior management at any point, which, in my experience, reflects how staff are treated more broadly.
What makes this particularly disappointing is that it wasn’t always like this. The culture used to feel supportive, positive, and collaborative. However, from around November, when new management came in, the working environment noticeably changed and, in my experience, deteriorated significantly.
Over a short period of time, there was a high level of staff turnover (including over 13 people leaving within a couple of months). From what I experienced, this was not simply due to “system changes,” as has reportedly been communicated, but linked more closely to changes in management approach, communication, and overall working conditions.
A formal grievance was raised collectively by a large group of employees outlining serious concerns, including:
A much more restrictive and uncomfortable culture, where normal day-to-day interactions between colleagues felt discouraged
A management style that many found intimidating or dismissive, particularly in group meetings
Concerns around how pay changes (including commission) were communicated and implemented
Ongoing understaffing following resignations and absences, leading to increased pressure on remaining staff
High workloads and expectations that many felt were unsustainable
Perceptions of inconsistent treatment and lack of transparency around opportunities
A clear decline in morale, wellbeing, and trust in leadership
When these concerns were raised, the response from HR, in my experience, felt dismissive. Employees were told that they “do not run the company,” which reinforced the feeling that concerns were not being taken seriously. There were also comments made in meetings about those who had left being “lazy,” which came across as unfair and out of touch given the circumstances surrounding the turnover.
Despite these issues being formally raised, I did not personally see meaningful changes being implemented.
From my perspective, the company has become increasingly stats-driven, where performance metrics appear to be prioritised over employee wellbeing. This can make the environment feel unsupportive, with individuals feeling more like numbers than valued members of a team.
There are genuinely good people within the business, but many, in my experience, were being let down by leadership and the direction the company was taking.
From a customer point of view, it may also be worth being aware that staffing challenges appeared to impact service. For example, delays in responding to calls (as everyone has quit) or limited dining availability (such as later time slots being allocated close to arrival dates due to bad decisions made by managers not to prioritise web bookings) often seemed linked to resourcing pressures rather than customer choice.
If you are looking for a place where you feel supported, valued, and listened to, I would personally suggest considering this carefully before making a decision.

VERY DISAPPOINTED - POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - NOT WORTH A PENNY.
We are extremely disappointed that our first visit to Eden Spa did not meet expectations. The experience was disorganised, misleading, and far from the relaxing day we were promised.
The prosecco service was confusing and poorly managed, with no communication or follow-up after the first pour. Our treatments, advertised as one-hour massages, were nothing like what was described, there was hardly any massage involved, only light oil application.
To make matters worse, after our treatments we were separated due to a lack of direction from staff, spending over an hour trying to find each other. It was stressful and entirely the opposite of the calm experience we had paid for.
After spending over £500, we expected at least relaxing experience and a good service. Sadly, this was one of the most disappointing spa visits we’ve ever had, and it has left us feeling let down rather than relaxed.
We emailed many times in order to resolve this matter but Instead of resolving this matter with us, the SPA simply offered us £50 voucher as a "gesture of good will", which we didn't accept.

Review of Eden Spa: A Disheartening Experience
I recently visited Eden Spa, and I regret to say that my experience was far from satisfactory. While I had hoped for a relaxing and enjoyable time, a significant issue overshadowed my visit: my expensive trainers were taken from my locked locker.
Despite having secured my belongings with a key fob, I left the spa feeling uneasy, as I later remembered that I had forgotten my trainers. Upon realising this at home, I contacted the management immediately to report the situation, but I was met with a lack of empathy and support from the managers and directors. I explained my health issues that contributed to this oversight, but it seemed that my concerns fell on deaf ears.
While I understand that it’s not appropriate to have CCTV in changing rooms for privacy reasons, I believe that there should be some evidence available from the CCTV cameras located in other areas of the spa. Unfortunately, the absence of footage from these cameras means my case has not been taken seriously, and I’ve been made to feel like I was somehow being dishonest about the situation, which is incredibly disheartening. Given the significance of the trainers, both financially and sentimentally—as they were a gift—I had anticipated a more responsible approach from the management team in handling such matters.
If you’re considering a visit to Eden Spa, please be mindful of the security of your belongings. My experience has left me feeling that nothing you bring is truly safe, regardless of the assurances provided by the facility.
I hope this review serves as a cautionary tale for others.

I see why my wife loves this place. As her designated driver (but not on the way back) I made my way to the bar. The greeting was friendly and you could tell that the staff are happy and enjoying their working here. Fantastic attention to detail with a friendly smile. I am feeling relaxed and this is without the benefits of all that Hoar Cross has to offer. Wow. Happy customer

Had a wonderful day. Frances that did my massage was amazing, she worked the areas I had issues with so would happily recommend her.
The meal we had was delicious and they even gave my daughter , whose 21st birthday was on the day, a card and a happy birthday chocolate on her dessert. Second time visiting this spa and can’t wait for the next one, next year!!!
Relaxing day
An amazing day spa experience from arrival to leaving. Staff were welcoming and friendly and every member of staff smiled as you passed them. Food was amazing and catered well to my allergies. It was such a relaxing experience, I didn’t take any photos.
Hydro pool was to die for! I didn’t want to leave. With different jets and seating within the pool and the temperature of the water was just amazing. Really lovely to be outside in the fresh air but be warm on a damp day. Steam rooms, hot showers and the hot tubs were also great! The indoor pool also had different jets and features with an opening outside.
Arrived around 10am and left around 5pm. Plenty to do throughout the day without treatments. Nothing was rushed and very relaxing.
Thank you for a lovely visit. I will most certainly be back.
Exceptional service
I booked my spa day online but the times I wanted for a treatment were not available. I called the reservations team and the lady I spoke to was not only incredibly helpful but so friendly and pleasant. I think she may have been in a central reservation team. Although I haven't been for my day spa yet - The service I have received so far has been exceptional.

Yesterday was my first time at Eden Hall, I wanted to see what the hype was all about, went into reception, 2 ladies on the desk, no warm welcome, very ignorant, not a great start for a first impression, then went for a tea and something to eat, food was lovely, went into the hydro pool which was nice but then got stung by a wasp as I grabbed the rail to get out, swimming pool was nice, lots of different saunas, steam rooms to experience, 3 course meal was also very nice but we weren’t asked a time when we would like to go but were told a time? Lots of helpful staff there but most are young and I even caught 2 raising their eyes to each other, people go to these places to have abit of luxury and to relax, you do need a mixture of ages of staff I think for the nicer more professional experience.

For those who have enjoyed a spa day and are considering membership, you need to be aware of Eden Hall’s hidden gem - the Membership team.
Lucy and Aimee are the designated front of house team which looks after members. Having had yet another query dealt with speedily and efficiently today, I can recommend them to you without any reservations.
Lucy and Aimee are superb ambassadors for Eden Hall. They provide an efficient, speedy service where any issues are quickly resolved, they book appointments - however last minute - and consistently provide a first class professional service.
They definitely give an extra luxury feel to being a member.
They are both very generous with their time, make a point of knowing the names of members and have always provided me with practical and useful advice and guidance.
Lucy and Aimee are both definite assets to Eden Hall. Thank you for all you do!
