Dopo aver provato Elsa, ho fatto l'abbonamento a vita. L'app è estremamente affidabile: ne ho provate tante, e anche altre lo sono, ma questa è senza dubbio tra le migliori. Un capitolo a parte merita l'assistenza: ho aperto un ticket per un problema di cui ero io il responsabile, e me l'hanno risolto in un giorno, con enorme gentilezza e disponibilità.

Ho letto alcune recensioni con voti bassi, ma non riguardano la qualità del prodotto. Infatti, prima di acquistare Elsa, bisogna leggere attentamente di cosa si tratta e cosa offre: non si può criticare un prodotto per qualcosa che non era previsto! In conclusione, a mio avviso, direi che è assolutamente valido.

This update completely ruined the app.
ELSA used to be the BEST app for improving pronunciation. No exaggeration — it genuinely helped me sound more like a native speaker. I could practice structured sentences, get precise feedback, and actually see real progress. It was simple, effective, and focused on what it promised: pronunciation.
After this new update, it’s honestly a mess.
The app now feels like a generic AI chat where you can respond with basic answers like “yes” or “of course” and it just moves on. There’s little to no real correction, no structured practice, and no depth. The core feature that made ELSA great is basically gone.
This is NOT what I paid for.
It’s extremely disappointing because this app used to be worth every cent. Now it feels like a downgrade in every possible way. I’m canceling my subscription because this new version simply does not deliver value anymore.
It’s frustrating to see such a strong product lose its identity. It feels like this update was made without truly understanding what users actually needed. ELSA was never about casual conversation — it was about precise pronunciation training for learners who wanted to refine their English.
Such a shame. This used to be one of the best language apps out there, now is completely garbage. Don't waste your money. Is not worth it.

​"I am a student and I've been a victim of ELSA's deceptive subscription model. They charged me $129.99 without clear prior notification after a trial. I have already filed an official complaint with the Better Business Bureau (Case #24550087). I am also initiating a Chargeback through my bank (CIH Bank). This is an unacceptable way to treat students. I demand a full refund immediately to close these legal proceedings."

It actually works

I’ve been on ELSA for 4 months.

I originally started just to improve my pronunciation, but along with it, it fixed other habits I had like rushing my words and not speaking clearly. After sticking with it, those problems are basically gone.

Good part is that people around me actually noticed the improvement in my speech. For them, it just happened.

Also, good to see the app keeps getting better, new designs, features, and the tongue twister lesson is a seriously great addition.

Charged before free trial ended – (Refund received)

I signed up for the 7-day free trial of ELSA Premium. Unfortunately, I was charged before the trial period ended and there was no option to cancel either in the app or on the website.

The invoice says the payment date was September 29, but the money was charged on September 28. When I log into the ELSA portal, I can only see “download my data” and “delete my account,” but nothing about managing subscriptions.

I contacted support and initially only received automated replies. However, after some follow-up, ELSA refunded the full amount and confirmed my subscription was cancelled.

I appreciate that the issue was eventually resolved, but I hope ELSA improves this process to make cancellation during the trial clearer and to prevent similar confusion for other users.

I signed up for ELSA speak trial and…

I signed up for ELSA speak trial and having hard time canceling and getting a refund. The service is not helpful, the instructions to cancel is not clear and they just charged my account at 2am for the price of the whole year. I tried to email them only to recieve the response they won't be responding until Monday. These practices feel fradulent and unfail.

ELSA Speak Subscription Trap: Hidden Auto-Renewal and Poor Transparency

If you subscribe to ELSA Speak via their website, keep in mind that the subscription renews automatically after a year. There is no user account to easily manage subscriptions, but there is a cancellation request form available if you search for it. Refunds are available within 7 days of payment, as described in the FAQ. In my experience, the process could be more transparent and user-friendly.

They are frauds. Avoid them

Total disappointment. The app doesn't work and is full of bugs. I bought it because I saw a good offer and wanted to improve my skills, but I feel scammed for €60. Three days after the purchase, I started normal training and noticed that I often lost connection with my AirPods, missed half of the sentences I pronounced, or didn't react. I requested a refund in the Apple Store, but it was refused. They are scammers. I should have checked the reviews in the Apple Store before making the purchase, as there are no good reviews, only a few from people who also asked for their money back. It's a total fraud

No Account, No Access, Still Charged

I created an account with Elsa, which included a 7-day trial. After 3 days, I decided not to continue with a subscription, so I deleted my account, assuming that this would obviously cancel any subscription since the account no longer existed. However, after the 7-day trial, the money for a yearly subscription was still withdrawn. So now I’ve lost the money and no longer have an account, meaning I can’t even use the service. I also contacted Elsa about this, but of course received no response — very strange situation.

Compré la suscripción de por vida a ELSA por 200 €, pensando que sería una herramienta útil para mejorar mi pronunciación en inglés. Sin embargo, tras usarla unos días, me di cuenta de que el contenido no se adapta a mis necesidades y no cumple con lo que esperaba por ese precio.

Intenté contactar con el soporte para solicitar un reembolso, pero me dijeron que ya habían pasado los 7 días del plazo.Aunque entiendo la política, me parece poco flexible, especialmente tratándose de una compra tan costosa y un producto digital que no ofrece prueba real antes de pagar.

Pedí el reembolso con respeto, sin respuesta útil, lo cual me decepcionó aún más. No recomiendo pagar por adelantado sin probar a fondo

Scam Tactics – Beware!

I signed up thinking I was starting a 7-day free trial, but ELSA immediately charged me $174 for a full-year subscription without any clear confirmation or warning. This is not a free trial, it’s a trap. I canceled right away and requested a refund, but both Apple and ELSA refused. I never agreed to pay, and I feel completely scammed. Taking someone’s money without clear consent is theft. I’m sharing this to protect others from falling into the same trap. Avoid this app.

It’s not working properly

Misleading promotion and loss of process

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with ELSA. Their promotional emails were misleading, promising new features in the 2025 version that were not available to existing users. The customer support was unhelpful, providing unclear timelines for the migration and no resolution for the misleading promotion. Additionally, the forced loss of learning progress for users who wanted to access the new features is unacceptable. Overall, I am dissatisfied with ELSA's lack of transparency and poor customer service.
