Alerting all consumers - Essence Cosmetics has been ignoring my reports of systemic safety and hygiene defects for well over a yearThe IssuesHygiene and Safety Risk - Their packaging like contour stick lids is defective, cracking and falling off, which exposes the product to bacteria. I have even seen these products taped shut on retail shelves just to keep them from falling apartDefective ToolsThe Duo Sharpener eats and destroys pencils instead of sharpening themThe Suspicious ServiceDespite formally admitting in an email on Feb 17 2026 that they are aware of the caps cracking and product exposure, they have done nothing but stall for over 12 monthsZero AccountabilityTheir customer service agents refuse to leave their names in emails, which is incredibly suspicious for a company handling safety complaintsSilencing TacticsThey have tried to Auto-Close my case twice, on Feb 20 and today May 1, without sending promised replacementsPersistent StallingThey have spent over a year apologizing for delays and asking for my location over and over again to avoid taking actionBecause this is a major hygiene risk and they refuse to take responsibility after more than a year of my trying to resolve this, I have officially escalated this to the Consumer Product Safety Directorate at Health Canada
