Everything I’ve had has been utterly delicious… Like meat used to taste when I was a little girl

The rump cap (picanha) was barbecued by a Brazilian head chef who declared his complete satisfaction with the quality. The steak lovers adored it. The burgers attracted universal praise with some comments putting it in the ‘best ever’ category. I trust those judgements which reflect my own. This meat passed every test. Beautiful.

First time ordering from the ethical butcher and the quality of the chicken is simply wow! I haven't seen such large well proportioned poultry ever. No funny colouring, pumped with water etc. Which indicates that the chickens are fed well and truly grown in good conditions. Will definitely order again

My delivery from DHL was left outside my gates, with just a picture of the parcel but no clue as to where it was. I found it the evening after it was delivered, despite it saying that it must be handed to a resident and that it needed to be refrigerated.
The products were ok. The bresaola was almost impossible to separate. It needs something in between the layers. The prosciutto was lack lustre. The salamis were good.
I’m a chef and live around the corner from your unit in Devon. I’d be happy to sit with someone and chat.

A pity that our local DPD man chooses to leave the parcel just outside the front door without knocking. Fortunately we were at home and saw him arrive so were able to retrieve our precious meat and put it in the fridge immediately.

I can only hope that the chickens are raised as described, because this place is obviously not cheap. Do a lot of training and chicken is my go-to protein so will probably continue to support The Ethical Farmer with a delivery every month, and supplementing with supermarket free range.

Excellent flavour. Unfortunately one of the picanhas had not been cleaned properly. Had to cut away a large slab of leathery connective tissue. The other two were perfect. Having lived in Brazil for many years I know what a picanha should be. They were a perfect weight. One a bit lean.
Cooked whole on a double skewer they were truly excellent.

Excellent Quality

Best tasting tbone steaks and wing rib steaks and lamb cutlets ever. The other cuts are equally top notch, tasty and melt in the mouth. Each cut is perfectly butchered making cooking easy.

The meat is ethically boxed too, packed in lambs wool and delivered by DPD electric vans keeping the carbon footprint and environmental impact to the minimum.

We love the Ethical Butcher, and would no longer eat or serve meat from any other source
