Scam, and a well-forged one. Despite ratings here or on reddit which show the mechanism of this fraud, many innocent people will fall in trap because they have now a new site, a new "business model" etc etc but the same schema, simple but unfortunately very efficient. It`s a russian "business", avoid it if you want your money to not change forever their pocket.DON`T PREORDER anything from their site, will be the beginning of the end.Don`t say I didn`t warned you!

I bought Eve V for a gift to my wife. She was very happy and pleased. The device is great!

Деньги мне за него вернули и даже с небольшой надбавкой, но пять звезд поставить не могу. Самим девайсом доволен безмерно!

On the one hand, I find what eve are doing to be rather fascinating and I've joined them for a lot of the journey. My name is one of the many hundreds that are printed in the inside of the box for the V.

On the other hand, they are disastrous mix of amateur business types and poor decision making. The calamity that ensued during the development of the V and it's subsequent manufacturing process is almost laughable in its magnitude and scale.

In my case, I did actually receive a device. Fundamentally it's actually quite good, but mine has suffered from a number of unfortunate flaws. When I connect my charger the device emits a high frequency whine. Eve support confirmed the issue but put it down to the soldering on the CPU, and refused to fix. Half my accessories from the original order were missing.

A few months in, my keyboard started to randomly disconnect. This became hugely frustrating. Again eve confirmed the failure after I send in many videos of the fault. Whilst they agreed I needed a new keyboard, they wouldn't honour the warranty as the company was now a new business entity with new ownership. I had to buy another one. We agreed on €85 and after a lot of to-and-froing, an order was setup. This keyboard took 6 months to arrive. When it did show up, it was dead on arrival, wasn't recognised by the device, wouldn't update... Nightmare. Initially Eve engaged with me to get it replaced, but now they are ignoring everything. My emails aren't replied to. I'm stuck with a faulty keyboard and one that is simply dead. A familiar story when you read the forums. I've been forced to request a chargeback from my card company due to the frustration of being hung out to dry.

Now I see Eve getting ready to take money for more devices, V's and their monitor line up. I would give serious consideration to handing these clowns your money. Whilst you may end up with a device, as I did, should anything go wrong they will be no where to be found unless you want to throw more money at them.

The horror stories of people who bought into the Early Bird program like I did, and then recieved nothing, not even a refund is insane. It's beyond criminal, it's fraud on a huge scale.

Do yourself a favour and avoid.

I bought an EVE V as a gift to my son. He received the parcel 10 days after payment. We are satisfied with the quality.

I've got my first order from Eve. They shipped it with a 2 days delay, but it's a not a big problem for me in this situation with Corona.

My order was processed immediately and was delivered less than in a week. Everything works perfectly as expected. Throughout the process, I found their customer service to be excellent. Any emails I sent were answered promptly. They were very helpful and polite. I really love Eve-Tech.

I ordered an Eve V laptop in December 2017 in the early release, ready for shipment by March 2018. I received an email in July 2018 stating, 'Our funds [sic] maybe be frozen, there maybe delays and yet… and yet we will prevail' and they offered an option of getting your money back and canceling the order. I decided to cancel my order and try and buy another laptop as I was in need of one. The money has to this date never been refunded to me after 2 years of emails promising to do so.

In the most recent correspondance, I was told Eve has now changed their distributor and are no longer linked with Fortress Tech Distribution LTD, who ran their distributing, of which obviously failed, and have now moved on with a new distributor, leaving any orders made with them void. There is a form to fill in for those still left in the dark with their orders, of which no response has been given for a month now.

Eve have stolen nearly £2000 from me and have for two years sold me on the idea that I am 'not forgotten'. DO NOT give this company your money. They have covered their tracks with their early issues with distributing and bailed on their first customers orders. They can not be trusted with your money.

Buyer BEWARE! I paid for a device 3 months ago that has not been delivered. Originally EVE blamed COVID-19 for delays but now they are just ignoring my queries. My advice is to STEER CLEAR!!!

In December I purchased an Eve V device. The device I received had an issue with the Windows installed, so I reached out to the Eve support team. Three weeks after placing a support request, I was contacted by a member of their support team with instructions for remotely reinstalling the operating system. However, after following the instructions to the letter, the issues only compounded (with the device now unable to boot at all). Every service request since (3 of them), and my request for the device to be replaced under the supposed ‘12 month warranty’, has been completely ignored. Save yourself the time, frustration and money and buy something else.

I have watched this outfit for a couple of years, and I finally purchased a few weeks ago the Eve V.

Issue #1: Zero communication. I had no idea when item would ship, or even that it had shipped.

Issue #2: They forgot to include the HDMI adapter I ordered and paid for.

Issue #3: When I reported #2 to them, five full days has gone by with ZERO response

Issue #4: I notice the tablet is not assembled properly. There is real flex when I pick it up, and I hear glue inside going stick/unstick as I pick it up and put it down.

Issue #5: When I reported #4 to them, five full days has gone by with ZERO response

Issue #6: The keyboard often needs to be reseated (like a few times a day, at least). Why? Because it starts adding a bracket ] character to every keypress.

Issue #7: When you review their forums, you see a lot of posts with similar issues as above.

Issue #8: I joined the forums to interact with community about my issues, but forums do not let me post to the EveV group, only to the community group.

So I dunno. I did my job (I paid em). I don't think they are doing their job.

Expensive mistake.

I see a few positive reviews here. They are suspect. They do not align with feedback on the eve forums.

Only complaint Is the limited support for rapairs they offered after the guaranty expires.

Don't trust them, the informations on the website are wrong, they don't have any devices on stock and they can't produce devices because of coronavirus. Don't buy anything.

Absolute scam. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY!!

Scam company with little recourse...

Tried to order one of the Eve Vs during the discount campaign, as this would be a great tool for some design work. They said delivery would come in 5-8 days given the holiday shipping periods, rather than the 2-4 days they 'normally' ship the items.

They sent a mag sleeve...thats it, not device, no plug, no keyboard. So they have a shipping record, showing delivered, but they didn't send everything in the order. Customer service says they will be sending out another one, that was 3 weeks ago.

I'm fortunate though, looks like my card bounced the order in the end, so I'm not out the money, I'm watching to make sure this holds true and they don't try to hit it again.

Avoid them, don't fund anything they do, and don't order the device they have on sale now.

Like the many others, bought a device back in Dec 2017 and paid over 1.5k USD. All promises and follow ups initially, then came the lack of communication and instant removal of any posts on their website regarding refunds on the failure known as the Eve V.

They have changed their company name to Eve devices and seem to claim no responsibility as that was an issue with the previous company. Dodgy as f***, products put out by them should never be trusted. If you do not receive a 'finished' product within a week, go straight to your payment processor and get that refund.

Purchased an Eve V and accessories in December 2017, which were to be delivered in the January-February 2018 time frame.

What followed was over a year of excuses from the company, including from the CEO directly, as to what the delay was and when it would be resolved. The mistake I made, as did others, was to be understanding and patient, instead of claiming my money back via my CC provider/bank.

The issues were supposedly resolved early 2019. Their CEO made an announcement and further discussion of the issue on their community website was prevented.

However, the issues were far from solved. Many customers, myself included had not received our orders. After repeated contact with support, I only received excuses, outright lies or generic "we are doing our best to get your device to you"-like boilerplate replies.

I have received nothing to this day and now Eve simply blame their supplier, and provide no resolution.

It was an expensive lesson to learn!

Avoid this company like the plague. If you have already ordered anything, be sure to swiftly recover your money if the device is not promptly shipped as expected.
