I JUST WANT TO CANCEL!!!
I have been having the same issue as all the other posts. Been trying to cancel since April. Ended up cancelling my direct debt to get a response but now all I get is emails demanding payment and adding on admin fees.
I’ve tried numerous times to email them and call them, but they never answer and never reply to emails. In the end I went into the club and demanded (very loudly) that this be sorted out and fingers crossed it might be now (they were on hold to a different number SHOCK!). So, suggest anyone else with this issue to do the same.
All I want to do is pay what I owe and be done with this awful gym!

This is beyond a joke. Trying to cancel membership since March. No responses. Cancelled direct debit and received email saying that I owe them membership fee plus admin fee. I keep calling and emailing to just pay it and free myself up from this horrible company, but I can't even get through to do that. Don't know what to do anymore. Never again I will step into premises with Everlast logo.
Ridiculous
I’m absolutely appalled by the way this company is handling issues.
I have requested a cancellation back in April only because I was told that in order to freeze my account I still needed to pay a monthly fee.
They kept charging my account and after MULTIPLE tries to get in touch with the company via email or phone (with no success) I cancelled my direct debit and claimed for a refund via my bank.
The joke is I still can’t get in touch with anyone from Everlast but I’ve received a “last notice’ to pay for the last two months plus admin fee despite the fact that I have cancelled my membership!
I will not recommend this company and will definitely seek a legal advise for the financial loss and above all the distress and inconvenience this company has caused.
Please do yourself a favour and don’t sign up with them. There are better and way more reliable gyms out there.
Absolutely awful service
Absolutely awful service! No response to emails, unable to speak to head office due to Call demands and was cut off after 50 mins. I now have an admin fee for cancelling my DD because they tried to charge me a full monthly fee for 10days use of their ‘very limited’ classes.
Everlast gym trostre…
Having not used the gym in Trostre since January 2020, I decided in May to inform everlast that I would be terminating my membership. I paid my May subscription and also June's. Bearing in mind that I hadn't used the gym for 18 months, I was aghast to receive an email insisting that I pay my subscription for July also. Unfair and blatant profiteering are two terms that readily come to mind. Upset and annoyed in equal measure

Having read all the previous reviews, I am experiencing the same issue. My gym Epsom/Ewell have told me they cannot help as I am now in arrears but if I go down to cancel with them they will put it in place even though I gave notice over a month ago through the correct channels. The Co is a complete joke. I'm going to have to go to cancel AGAIN and pay further just to get out of this once and for all. What cowboys. I definitely do not recommend EVERLAST GYM.

I am trying to cancel my 12 month contract - I've paid it, I owe nothing. I told them I would pay my last instalment and would be cancelling ,my direct debit. I have sent 2 emails telling them my intention.
All responses are electronic generic replies. quoting their terms and conditions etc - Everlast T&C's I might add - I never signed with Everlast I signed up with DW. Unfortunately DW went tits up.... looks like these guys will too... we all want to leave.... they are screwing us for admin fees and 'we have frozen your account'.... yeah well so is my bank account!

I’d give no stars if I could. Trying to cancel this gym contract is like trying to get out the cartel! After being a member for 3 years i requested to cancel because i no longer live in the area, twice via email and they conveniently never got back to me so i did an online form where they came back and asked for my reasons to leave which i explained i longer live in the area and they asked for a bank statement as proof of address (cheek of it)anyway i sent it over and they ignored that too, so i wrote back explaining they asked why i wanted to cancel and i’d given the supporting evidence so i would be cancelling my direct debit and i expect them to cancel the membership, also conveniently never got a response. 3 months later ive just received an email that they’ve tried to take payment but it’s been unsuccessful so i need to pay along with an admin fee, tried to ring the contact but it comes up with a different automated excuse everytime: the lines are busy, there’s a technical issue etc. one big scam stay away at all costs
Trying to cancel my contract following…
Trying to cancel my contract following an email I received from Everlasting saying my last payment would be in May 2021 having given notice in September 2020. They refuse to cancel it saying I’ve to pay until September 2021 now. I’ve cancelled my DD through the DD indemnity claim service and now Everlast are chasing me for arrears and adding the £10 admin charge as mentioned in so many reviews.
It’s terrible and very distressing.
Are people giving in to their requests or letting arrears and fees add up in the hope that Everlast will do the right thing?
I’m unsure what to do or who to contact to finally get rid of this farce!!!!
Totally inept administration
I cancelled my membership in September 20, having only to give 1 month notice. It’s now July 21 and they’re still taking monthly amounts from my account. No matter how many times I’ve emailed them they’re still unable to acknowledge and deal with my request. I now intend to cancel my direct debit as it’s the only way to get out of this.

I cancelled my gym membership on email and I got a response saying that they will get back to me and they never did, so I called up and they cannot see the email so this has clearly been deleted. It is june and they said I still have to pay my membership until the end of October even though 3 months from June is September

Sunderland Everlast. Used to be a great place to exercise, now old and tired machines, no staff, only 1 pt, highest membership cost in the area and in dire need of an overhaul. Avoid

Both me and my husband have been put on Shielding last year and again this year, put membership on Freeze until further notice. Had our money taken by DD while on Frozen. In April emailed Everlast by there web site as this is the only way to contact then, they don't answer phone calls or reply to your emails. So I cancelled our Gym membership in April. That's a month notice so in May they took the money. So I cancelled my DD at the bank, now I'm getting emails from Everlast stayingx that I owe June payment and they have now charged me an extra £10 ever 2 weeks for non payment. They now sat that they had a glitch in their system in April and my email message may have been missed. Remember I sent them a cancellation email back in April.

Daylight Robbery! I have been trying to get a refund of annual membership for last two months since they pulled out of Bangor! They don’t answer emails and you only get an automated reply on phone saying you are somewhere between 15th-19th in queue, I have waited for over 50 minutes to work down the queue and then got cut off,. I paid over £300 for a years membership before they pulled out and can’t speak to anybody about refund so I haven’t rejoined fitness first as they aren’t interested! Sports Direct/Everlast a complete disgrace to the fitness industry!

Extremely unhappy with customer service they providing. I was told that to cancel my membership without any notice period due to health issued(emailed them in April) I have to provide medical documentation, which I have provided. Then was told that I have to pay for May?? even If I have asked back in April, then somehow was told that I have to pay for June as well? still nowhere with the case as it is taking them 3 weeks to respond to the email. Extremely incompetent and would never recommend. Stay away if you can

Update... finally cancelled. Went I to Everlast gym to speak to manager. He said why hadn't I been in before now or contact the gym directly? I told him I did all that was asked of me in my contract, I had been working from home so not able to come into town. He asked me to forward my original email I sent in September 2020 to his manager email address. He forwarded to head office. He called me after a few days to say head office agree to cancel my membership and remove all outstanding charges that should not have been applied. For this I give 2 stars, but do not recommend anyone to join this gym!
Cancelled my membership as directed by site, sent cancellation email to membership email September 2020. No response. Sent so many emails. Got an indemnity through the bank, cancelled DD. Still getting emails stating I owe them money!?! I'm so pissed off because I don't have bad credit on anything, now what's going to happen?

TERRIBLE - DON'T JOIN!
Apparently I couldn't cancel my membership during lockdown as my membership was 'frozen'. I had to wait until it opened again and only then could I provide 3 months notice.
This makes NO SENSE!
Who knows they want to cancel their membership 3 months in advance?! Ridiculous!

Appalling treatment of staff
Studio instructors are not paid for classes if fewer than 4 people turn up. So the instructor can travel 15 miles for a 6.00 am class without warning of low numbers and not get paid - utterly shameful and probably unlawful but most are too scared to complain.

Gym goers beware!! This companies customer care is the worst I've ever known. I'm disabled, I was on shielding March 20 until April 21. On Three separate occasions I personally went to the Gym produced Govt documentation, consultants letter and prescription as proof to freeze my membership. They copied it, uploaded onto their system. Then they took full payment from my bank denying ever having seen it! They refused to give it back. So I stopped the D/D. They had the cheek to keep charging me £20per month administration fees. After 4 emails (never opened) and 21 phone calls - never getting closer than no 12. Today, after 70 minutes call and hanging on the phone. They (Becky) told me that they would take the money (from what they have taken dishonestly stolen from my account) to pay the leaving fee! Nothing about repaying it, I didn't have a chance to say anything else... She hung up!! Matter still not resolved, but at least I am no longer a member of this inept, appalling and totally useless organisation. Customer service no stars.... You are unbelievably Sxxt. Worst I have ever encountered. Avoid them at all cost!
