App issues

I had an issue trying to use the app to park during a recent hospital visit, ended up unable to adjust the times and subsequently the timing of my visit was incorrect, used the contact form to contact Evology with proof of payment to cover the hours at the hospital, they adjusted the hours of my visit to ensure my payment covered the time I was actually parked

Very impressed with the customer…

Very impressed with the customer service - especially Kayleigh. Had a problem with my app not giving me the correct amount to pay and worried I would get a fine. Kayleigh responded very timely and helped me out over an above what she needed too. Thank you Kayleigh :)

Accidentally entered a carpark and saw…

Accidentally entered a carpark and saw evology sign. Panic set in and was terrified of the advertised fine. Very triggering. Wanted to pay but app it would not load. Had a meltdown. Then managed to be directed to some rip off site called the same thing. Ended up with 2 credit cards being cancelled today!!! Total nightmare. Probably going to be given a £100 fine on top of 15 mins in a carpark from hell.

i was attending a trade show in Bolton…

i was attending a trade show in Bolton i parked in the wrong car park i did not realise this it was a cold rainy day and i had little to no signal on my phone , i notified Evology Parking by email on return to my hotel about my mistake 24 hours later a lady called Val from customer support contacted me and as a gesture of goodwill wavied any parking fee that may have been due, it goes to show you there is understanding and empathy out there well done Evology big thumbs up thank you

What a crap experience, well what should I have expected, they are owned by the worst parking company on the planet ParkingEye, so don't be surprised if your experience is the worst you can imagine.

What a mess

What a mess! Download the glitchy app and it immediately crashes so you can’t top up your parking. Also can’t call them. Designed by 5 year olds?

Evology app is useless and costs more than conventional payment

I visited James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough twice today. On the first occasion I tried to pay for parking using the Evology app. I had to input my credit card details several times before they were accepted. I had to return in the afternoon so this time I tried to pay using Apple Pay. After the transaction failed on two occasion I just went to the hospital machine and payed with my credit card. To my astonishment it was significantly cheaper than paying with Evology.

* Paying Hotel Guest Left Out of Pocket Due to Unclear Parking Process

Disappointing experience with the parking arrangements linked to my hotel stay.

On arrival, I paid £60 for parking in good faith because the process for hotel guests was not clear to me. When I checked into the hotel, I was then informed that hotel guests should pay £25 directly to the hotel instead. I followed the instructions given and paid the guest parking fee.

I subsequently contacted the parking company to request a refund of the original payment, as I would never have paid £60 had the guest parking process been clear from the outset. My request was refused, with the response simply stating that the site is well signed and that refunds are not issued once parking has been paid for.

What has been most frustrating is the lack of communication. Follow-up emails and requests for information have gone unanswered, making it very difficult to resolve the issue or understand the escalation process.

I was a genuine paying hotel guest trying to comply with the parking requirements at all times. A more customer-focused approach and better communication would have gone a long way in resolving what should have been a straightforward issue.

If I could give them 0 starts it would…

If I could give them 0 starts it would be too many. My local hospital have changed from Pay to Park to these clowns. The app never loads and there's always an issue trying to pay. I have quite a few parking apps on my phone and this is the only one I have issues with. Im just wondering how many fines they issue, compared to other companies. Maybe they need looking into.

Atrocious performance and customer service

This company has behaved disgracefully. I am self-employed and had to park at a car park managed by Evology the other day. The machine was not printing receipts, but said that we could scan a QR code, to obtain a link to an e-receipt. I scanned the code and the link did not open. It loaded absolutely nothing. I wrote to Evology later and received an email from customer services saying “Please be advised we are unable to provide receipts for machine payments in the event the machine is unable to print one. We apologise for the inconvenience.” I said that is not an inconvenience; this is my livelihood and that I will be out of pocket, if I do not have a parking receipt to claim back the amount from my employer. I also pointed out that others will be in my position as well. They replied saying, “Unfortunately, we are unable to provide receipts for machine payments in the event the machine is unable to print one. We apologise for the inconvenience.” I said that the apology was *not* accepted. I also pointed out that, if Evology has been given the contract for managing a car park, then Evology has a responsibility to:
- ensure that its QR codes provide links that actually work
- ensure that its ticket machines actually print something on the receipts that they produce, instead of spewing out blank pieces of paper.

Atrocious in just about every way

Decided to use their autopay for my local hospital. Only to find out once everyone had closed that I cannot use it at the hospital... that was my mistake.

But then trying to pay for my session was an absolute nightmare. Hospital tells me I have 48 hours to pay. Evology App says no I don't and cannot pay once I've left.

Customer service from Evology was non existent. Replies I received bore no resemblance to the questions I posed.

Frustrating beyond belief and ended up making a formal complaint direct to the hospital. The parking team at the hospital sorted it out for me and I never heard anything from Evology.

One week after asking to cancel my autopay account, I've heard nothing.

The AI on their WhatsApp customer service is diabolical and I guess was designed by muppets.

Altogether I'd avoid using this bunch of jokers as much as possible.

Delay in informing “permission not granted” now parking fine!

Tried paying for parking twice, first time put in details for payment card etc then it seemed successful so went off to my appointment checked the app and after a delay “permission was not yet granted” quickly tried again making an account this time, same again, it took payment so it seemed moved on to the next page, I went to the appointment checked again actually with receptionist but once again there was a delay, by the time I had checked the app again after my appointment it said “permission not yet granted” the car park wasn’t full. I got a parking eye fine. I am so annoyed I have used it before there and no problems but the app didn’t inform me immediately that I didn’t have parking. No evidence in bank statement or history on the app that I had tried twice so I will have to pay. I am going to stay clear of this company if I see them in future car parks!

Over Charing app

Considering this was at a health centre, where pre-booked appointments are a must, evology have an awful app.

Firstly, when you park, you can pick a time you arrive.

I had 2 appointments in the same day.

Appointment 2, I arrived at 0820 and it wouldn't allow me to pick 0820, it wanted me to pick 0815. I also wanted to stay until 0920, but it wouldn't let me pick a time sooner than 0930. I didnt think much of it and booked. Essentially 15 minutes more than my actual stay.

My second visit 15 times I tried to tell the app I arrived at 1400, and the slider kept going back to 1350. Then I wanted 1 hour but it wouldn't record it, So I had to book 2 hours! Physically wouldn't let me book 1 hour.

So what should have been £1.50 per hour, ended up costing me £6.50 with booking fees and an extra 1.15 hours that I didn't need !

Please use a manual payment station people !! Not this laggy, self time adding app !!

I've posted on all social media accounts so that people stop using this in Coventry's local area !

I recommend avoiding EVOLOGY

It was my first time in Milton Keynes. I thought I’d pre-book my parking so I googled the hotel I was to stay in (MOXY) which said I could park under the hotel: carpark was EVOLOGY.
I downloaded the Evology app and used the pre pay button and typed the hotel name where location was prompted …it gave the full hotel address so I believed I was paying for my parking in THAT hotel.

Turns out a week later I’m fined £100 for parking under the MOXY hotel! Only on close inspection of the Evology app and looking at the small print of my receipt do I see that they gave me parking in Harben House Hotel in Newport Pagnell, where is that I thought???! It’s a 13min drive away from the Moxy.
How misleading can an app be?

I’m going to try appealing the fine… but I highly recommend avoiding Evology.

Avoid using this app for parking

Avoid using this app for parking. There are plenty of other options! They would not refund a charge that was being offered for free. I paid before I realised - I wrote to them and explained the situation & they point blank refused to refund & then they stopped responding to my emails. Very unprofessional.

Tried to set up account

Tried to set up account. Took a series of attempts by a computer literate person to do so. The tried to pay via CC. Tried at least twenty times. The app would not accept any input to the CC field. Tried on and off for at least an hour and again later in the afternoon without success. The GUI in this app is appalling. The structure is also appalling and seems set up to fail and to cause users to fall into the £100 fine trap. Having wasted at least two hours trying to pay my parking charge, which kept increasing when I was trying to pay. I give up and wait for the inevitable fine, which I will unfairly receive. Daylight robbery and all because their ticket machines are out of service. Also it did not recognise the location code , or it would not allow the code to be input. Terrible from day 1.

Terrible from day 1. Non-intuitive and deliberately obfuscatory. The app fails to recognise locations or says they are closed, even when they are clearly open. Avoid.
