The Dream is just that. All our expectations were fulfilled. Everyone worked so hard to ensure the trip of a lifetime and to give us fantastic memories. We felt cared for and cared about. Thank you all, both in the U.K. and in Egypt.

Without a shadow of a doubt, this is the way to see the highlights of Egypt. The crew and back office team must have worked so hard to make everything run perfectly...accommodating Covid test requirements, storm conditions on the Nile, special trip requests. Special mentions for Mahmood and Linda. Food excellent. Dahabiya is a wonderful vessel with views so much better that from behind patio doors on a multi-story cruise ship and so much quieter as we were towed/sailed. With so few passengers, fellow travellers could make or break the trip...we considered all on board to now be friends.

We had an extraordinary week on the Dream. The crew was extremly caring, the food was tasty, always fresh, the organisation was smooth and effectiv. On the excursions we enjoyed a very likable guide with very good knowledge and the ability never beeing boring. We learnt a lot with fun.

If you have a genuine interest in Egyptology and all things Egyptian a Nile cruise on the Dahabiya Dream is the choice for you. A beautiful replica of a dahabiya sailing boat. With only 6 guest cabins it feels like a private charter. My husband and I with 2 other couples went on the Dream a couple years ago. The experience was amazing. Of course all the sites we visited during our week cruise were magical but staying on the Dream was equally so. To get to spend a week in the comfort of this boat, tasting the amazing local foods served elegantly every day on board only topped by the wonderful staff and crew who took brilliant care of us, shared their stories, humour and lives with us. We learnt so much from the very knowledgeable guest lecturer on board about the history of this very special nation. But we came away with not only a more intense interest in Egypt’s mythology but learnt from this cruise that the true magic of Eygpt is the Egyptians. Highly recommend anyone wanting to cruise the Nile to choose The Dahabiya Dream.

Slipping down the Nile on Dahabiya Dream was the most exhilarating, fun, educational and exotic experience.
Our gentle, polite, charming crew and guides could not have been more attentive.
The food was delicious. All freshly prepared daily.
The whole week was the perfect mix of relaxation, history and new friendships.
If you are wavering about going, do not hesitate.

Our trip on the Dahabiya Dream was just wonderful. A great way to visit key sites along the Nile in a small group and learn its history with the onboard guide. Our cabin had its own small balcony and was very comfortable. Food on board was fresh and tasty and the friendly crew looked after us very well.

We had the best holiday ever. Beautiful boat. Lovely team looking after us. Great food and drink. Outstandingly interesting tours.

What a unique experience this was for my husband and I and a group of friends ( 5 other couples). I felt like we were going back in time and living the life that a well to do 19th century family would have while they were sojourning down the Nile River. The decor of the living spaces on the second level upstairs on the upper deck looked like pieces you would see in a palace of royalty. The bedrooms on the first level that had windows that opened up just above the water level were spacious and comfortable. The bed was comfy as can be!!
The staff on the boat, and there were many, were so very attentive and tried their hardest to meet our every need and also surprised us with daily unexpected niceties and full on entertainment. The food was all homemade and delicious. Our chef was quite talented and the meals were never repeated( except for breakfast which was made to order eggs and an assortment of breads/muffins/croissants and fruit etc. Coffee and tea always available.
The tours that were scheduled for us were so well run and our Egyptologist, Ahmed , was obtaining his Ph.D in Egyptology and was so very interesting and knowledgeable. We had the opportunity to go on a hot air balloon ride and also a trip to Abu Simbel which were both amazing and unforgettable. After every tour we arrived back on the boat and were greeted by Tito and Adam with specialty cold lovely drinks and cold lemon scented wet towels to refresh ourselves with.
Tito took us shopping in the Luxor Market for a couple of hours the day before we left. He helped us negotiate the goods we purchased which was a huge help.
Lastly I have to mention our Dahabiya Cruise Captain, Mahmoud . This guy was amazing! He made sure we had everything we needed and kept us entertained with his humor and incredible dancing skills. Our group learned so much about the Egyptian culture from him during our dinner conversations.
Our group all agreed that we would miss these wonderful, thoughtful people that we spent a week with and hope they all knew how much we appreciated each one of them.
