Even though this company is family orientated, that's just the outside picture of how the experience there is for a lot of individuals. I have witnessed verbal abuse, threats being made, bullying and intimidation from the managers on duty to staff members to deflect from the root cause of issues in Farmers, especially in the Sylvia Park store. They mistreat their staff, they don't take accountability for their mishaps and take pride in making employees feel insignificant when they're the backbone of all the sales and the ones who serve me and all other . As a father who works full time with students at school and kids of my own, I have never witnessed this level of bullying before. Please change and grow as a company and learn to appreciate your staff more otherwise you will lost those who have shopped here for years.

This is the second time I have had Chrissie in Lingerie, Newmarket, fit me for a new bra. The first time I had her fit me I thought she was way-off in my sizing. She brought two pairs into the fitting room, I tried on the first and she said 'no, that's not the one, this is it,' and handed me the second pair. PERFECT fit and I walked out very happy - with five pairs. Today, I went looking for a sports bra and once again with Chrissie's help she found me the perfect bra.
It is quite daunting with all the bras on display but if you ask for Chrissie to fit you she takes away all that stress. Honestly, if you or someone you know needs a bra fitting make an appointment with Chrissie, she is very helpful, she knows her bras, but above all she cares about her customers.

I regularly shop in Farmers and I find the staff very helpful and nice , but please please show the staff how to fold a garment before putting into a bag!
I always find every thing has to be ironed.

Do not click-and-collect. You are better off paying more somewhere else or using Amazon.com.au. Whoever at Farmers NZ manages their standards for click and collect needs to transport in time to the pre-2000s when such slow service was acceptable. Despite products being in stock at the retailer and Farmers charging their click-and-collect customers a percentage charge per item, it can take up to seven days to have an item ready to collect despite being in Newmarket Auckland. All fulfilment is done at another location, not the store, which might have made sense and aligned with retail best practices. Please do not complain about the online support; they will lie to you that the product is ready at the store when it is not. Farmers is a good retailer but a terrible online click-and-collect provider; if you are not doing the same-day or at best next-day click-and-collect, stop offering the service.

My dog is the pickiest eater I have seen. So I ordered Farmers Dog and am so glad I did. He absolutely can't get enough. Licks his bowl clean. It is all natural and the treats are too. So if you have one like mine try this product. You won't be sorry. Right now it's 50% off your first order.

This is the last time I will order online at Farmers NZ. I have ordered some nice perfume for my 79 year old mothers birthday gift well in time for her day or so I thought, I live in a different city and can't be there in person so it was important to me for her to get her gift prior to the day, except the order has taken far too long to even be processed let alone shipped! Now she will not get a birthday gift from me, until sometime after her birthday, if it ever gets shipped! This is unacceptable service from Farmers. I could order from China and get it quicker.

If I could rate farmers delivery -1000000 I would!! I ordered the 3rd of Jan and my order got processed 6 DAYS LATER, futhering my wait time to over a week to get my 3 small items!! Shein arrives faster than farmers and that stuff takes 3 -4 planes to get here! Unfortunately the product I wanted to buy was not available in my store so had to online order it! Also click and collect should be from the store directly not shipped from Auckland to the awaiting store! Waste of time, may aswell walk in the store and buy it!

Shopped in ladies fashions this morning, a very quiet time. The store was bright and clean: it opened this year. My daughter tried 8 different tops which she selected: there was no customer assistance or advice. I made a purchase. One customer at the counter had a query which caused a lengthy holdup at a till; a number of customers waited until the 2nd till opened. The assistant did not speak, except to enquire if I would like a bag (for ladies' underwear). Apart from a third assistant clearing a backlog of unsuitable items from the changing room (at 10.30 on New Years' Day) there was no visible presence on the shop floor. An extremely poor experience compared to a shop 5 minutes away where the service was exceptional. This is the first and last time I will visit Farmers Invercargill.

Zero stars. I should have known better, I've shopped online before with Farmers, utterly incompetent and took around 4weeks. This time I tried click and collect. Went instore to pick up my items only to find 1 was not available. The staff instore are incompetent and not empowered to give good outcomes. The product I ordered was available in the store but they couldn't give it to me. Don't online shop or click and collect with Farmers. For a store that has been around for many generations you'd think they'd have customer service down.

We went to Bayfair Farmers to purchase 3 suits for my sons wedding and Sylvia could not have been more helpful. She gave great advice and nothing was to much trouble...Great service thank you

Farmers St Luke's, found the staff very unhelpful, was after some foundation from the Bobbi Brown counter, no one was manning the stand, approached a Asian lady at another counter and she advised the employee was at lunch and walked off on me, no offer to help or ask what I needed, quite rude really.
You may treat customers like that overseas but you don't do that here in NZ, poor customer service.

My partner bought an electric shaver from Farmas in Queensgate mall, Lowerhutt (in a sealed box) but the shaver head had hair in it. That is so unsanitary and disgusting that they would sell a used shaver

Like the many others who have received similar "service", I too advise others DO NOT shop online with Farmers. It would be laughable if it weren't appallingly bad. Not only are they insanely slow (how is it even possible to be that slow for an e-commerce store in 2023???) - it took 2 weeks from when I ordered to when my order was delivered - but worse yet you CAN NOT get a refund if you discover your items are sort suitable. Despite treating the items sent with care and returning in the same saleable condition, Farmers is determined to keep your hard earned money and hold you to ransom to only shop with them by offering only gift cards to the value of your return. It's either that or an exchange. A farmers gift card is not cash and can't be redeemed elsewhere if you decide there's nothing else you actually want to purchase from the company. You are locked in to remaining a farmers customer. Beware before spending money with Farmers, and if possible only shop in-store to test the quality of the items before ordering as if it's not up to standard you will be stuck if you expect to get your money back (like any other retailer is happy to do). They also charge for click and collect!!?!! Farmers, you're a joke.

Ordered underwear for my son wasn't even picked 6 days later. What is this? Orders should be picked within a day and processed within 3 days. Totally unacceptable. I can get stuff from around the world quicker. This is what stuffs the NZ economy when we can't even get our purchases within a week. Get your act together and get up with the play

-10 never make and order online I got a bag once and they never scanned it into the store so it took so long for them to even say it’s ready, they will tell you ten days but it’s always way over that even Temu or Kmart ship better and faster and you pay more at farmers Christmas presents coming late that just say status *ordered no more emails called still
Not processed just ordered even when it’s been 10 days online store at farmers is the most unreliable, slowest place and when you make contact they all ignore you or say I’ve made a note a note for who ? No one but the person making the note themselves. I literally have had orders from overseas arrive already

Comically slow delivery. Asked to choose a colour of toy ordered - nope we choose and you can go to the store to exchange it defeating the purpose of online shopping. Also waited eight days and counting to get the delivery of a product of their choosing. Never again. 1.7/5 stars seems high.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I purchase online from a range of companies and Farmers was incredibly slow in their delivery. It has been 10 days since I placed my order and have had no shipping update. I had to call to find out what was going on. If they want to survive the online retail world they are going to have to amp up their game or they will collapse. I will not be purchasing online from this company again. I have orders from Australia and the US arrive sooner and their online depot is in Auckland for goodness sakes and I live in Whangarei.

I bought an expensive baby cot for my grandson. He has used it for about 6 months and it broke, the latch holding up the side rail. Farmers said the part to fix cot will be couriered to us on Monday. And we have to fix it ourselves. In the meantime baby has nowhere to sleep for 5 days. Told it was not there problem baby didn't have a safe bed till Monday. Poor customer service. Not our fault it broke.
