Avoid !! Leaking again then never come back

We had a leak in our bungalow roof and i came across this company. There website is fantastic and gives you a lot of information and also tells you that everything is exclusively gaurenteed. Micky the owner came out and he looked at our leak and showed my husband what was wrong. He is a very friendly man and seems to know his stuff and it is a shame that he has let us down like he has.
We agreed for our old tiles to be taken off and having a new roof liner and wooden batons and then he would re use our old tiles. The scaffolding was put up and the roofers along with Micky arrived. They were a nice bunch of lads and got on with the job. After about a hour Micky came to us and said he could not guarantee the job if he re used the old tiles because they were no good. We then borrowed thousands of pounds and agreed a price for Micky to get us new tiles which he did. At the end of the job the roof looked good and Micky asked if we could give him the money in cash. We said we could but we would have to order it from the bank. So he then said don’t worry about it and we paid him on his personnel account in just his name not the companies name.
When they had gone my husband got onto the scaffolding to check over the roof. He then noticed that none of the gutterings had been cleaned they were completely blocked up with old rubble etc..my husband cleaned them himself. Also when he was up there he could see there were some broken and cracked tiles. There was also an area of insufficient leading so the roof lining is exposed. We telephoned Micky and he said he would come back the following day which he did with one of his workers. My husband pointed out the areas that were not right. Micky agreed and he said not to worry it would all be put right. He also said the large plastic container full of rubble and rubbish sitting on our driveway along with two wooden pallets were going to be picked up. We still have them now! Over the last six weeks Micky has said he was coming out to finish the job off. He made dates to come and then just did not turn up. He has given us all different excuses all via text and phone calls that we have sent him. We have repeatedly asked him for a receipt for the monies we paid him and most importantly the exclusive guarantee for many years 15+ he promised and also what’s promised and advertised on his website. We have been trying to call him and no matter what number we call him on when he answers and he knows it is us he puts the telephone down and we haven’t a clue why as we have been very patient and courteous with him through out all of this. We have sent him a email which he has not responded to. So we are left with a roof that has issues that will cause us problems in the Future with how it’s been left. We are still hoping he will get a conscious and do the decent thing. In the mean time if you have this company do any work for you make sure you keep some of the final payment back until you are fully satisfied and especially make sure you have all your paper work and guarantees before paying in full..else your be left worrying about the future of your roof!
