SCAMMERS!! Avoid this company at all costs!

I thought I’d bought a ticket for a Loganair return flight through them for £430. But I didn’t receive a ticket. Instead, I got a call from them, the next day (from someone calling himself Brock) saying I had to pay another £370. They refused a refund. They kept bringing up the fact that I had used a price comparison website to find the ticket, as if it was my fault, in a condescending, “Well, what do you expect?” manner.

At first, they said the extra payment was for a luggage allowance, because this was not included in the original ticket price. They said the airline would charge me “£30 per kilo” for any luggage, so it was cheaper to pay them the extra £370. This sounded unlikely, so I said I would think about it and call them back.

I spoke to Loganair who confirmed that all their passengers have a free luggage allowance. (There is a modest fee for excess luggage)

I contacted my bank and told them I thought the company had conned me. However, although the payment was showing on my statement, the bank said the payment hadn’t actually cleared yet, and there was nothing they could do until it had.

I called the company back and told them I didn’t want a luggage allowance, and asked them to issue my ticket. They then changed their tune and said the extra payment was compulsory if I wanted them to provide the ticket. They said that, otherwise, they would issue it 48 hours before the flight “depending on availability.” I knew that the flight was almost sold out, so there was no way a seat would still be available 48 hours before departure.

I didn’t trust them to issue my ticket even if I gave them more money. I decided to cut my losses. I told them I would buy a ticket direct from Loganair. I told them they were fraudsters and I didn’t know how they could sleep at night knowing they were conning innocent people out of hundreds of pounds.

I bought a ticket through Loganair and was resigned to the fact that I would not see my £430 again. To my surprise, the payment was cancelled. I suspect they sensed trouble at being called fraudsters and decided my money was more trouble than it was worth. Even so, this was a horrible experience.

Incidentally, I note the reviews on this page are mostly positive. There is another page of Trustpilot reviews which gives a true reflection of how this company operates. Find it through Google. Other search results for this company also make for interesting reading.

At first I was worried about the wait and the delays on getting ticket confirmation, however some guy called Abraham was patient enough with me and was able to sort my issues.

Mr. Jonathan is very helpful during entire process, he guided me and provided me good customer service.
