This was actually my first AI interview and it was not at all what I expected. The questions were real and not generic. Every question is a follow up to another which allowed me to really think before I respond.

You’d expect AI interviews to rely on recycled prompts, but this one didn’t each question felt tailored in a way no script could prepare you for.
It wasn’t just about what you’ve done, but how you think, work, and make decisions. There was no pressure to rush you’re given the space to explain your process, defend your approach, and still stay on track within a structured system. Honestly, that balance is pretty smart.
It felt like a glimpse into the future of hiring. I walked away feeling seen and more importantly, confident in my abilities.

Relaxing
The interview with Flowmingo was my 2nd time interviewing with AI but it was my most relaxed experience. I believe what really helped was the practice interview option they had. It helped me get into the groove of the interview process and ultimately relaxed as I faced the actual interview.

I approached Flowmingo’s AI interview platform with skepticism, but it proved to be a structured and intellectually engaging experience. The questions followed a clear, strategic flow and emphasized reasoning, decision-making, and measurable outcomes rather than generic responses. The asynchronous format also stood out, allowing for more precise and well-thought-out answers without the pressure of real-time interaction.
That said, the platform still lacks some nuance. While efficient, the AI can feel slightly rigid and misses opportunities to probe deeper into complex responses. Overall, it’s a strong tool for candidates who value clarity, logic, and performance-based evaluation, with clear potential to improve through more adaptive questioning.

Flowmingo ai Interview Review
This AI interview is one of the most interesting interviews I have had in recent times. I like the manner in which the questions were asked—interview questions connected my existing knowledge and experience with the job requirements. The interviewer also notified me of instances where my responses deviated from the initial questions asked.
The rigor in questioning clearly reflects what goes on in interview boardrooms and therefore shows the future of modern hiring—done at the convenience of both the recruiter and candidate.
Lastly, I liked the fact that I was allowed to respond to other questions even after the AI video interview. This afforded me the opportunity to answer all interview questions before submitting.
This is the future of hiring, and I believe more recruiters would—sooner or later—see the need to adopt this technology for subsequent recruitment processes.

My experience doing an interview with them was wonderful. The AI is quite perceptive and asked fair questions. Ultimately, I believe I was given adequate opportunity to express myself properly. As long as you have adequate devices for speaking and listening, it should go just fine.

It was really nice and although it was obvious the interviewer was an AI, it didn't feel cold and distant there were drops of empathy especially in the Follow up questions. My problem was that my Internet connection was poor although all I had to do was refresh and it would save the last question and pause my time but I didn't do that. I do feel like this is the direction interviews will be heading in the future
