Extremely poor crisis management and communication – stranded passengers left without clear support
Our experience with flydubai has been extremely disappointing and stressful.
Due to airspace closures, our flight was diverted to Hyderabad, India. While we understand that such situations can happen and are outside the airline’s control, what followed was a complete failure in communication, coordination and customer support.
We have now been stuck in Hyderabad for several days together with around 70 other passengers. Instead of clear information and guidance, the local representatives have provided inconsistent statements, avoided direct answers and repeatedly changed the narrative about what flydubai is responsible for.
At times we were even told that the airline is no longer responsible for us, despite the fact that we never signed any waiver and our journey has clearly not been completed.
This has created unnecessary uncertainty and frustration among passengers. Rather than providing transparent communication and a clear plan, it feels like passengers are being left in the dark and information is being handled inconsistently.
The situation is particularly difficult for us because my partner is 20 weeks pregnant, making the ongoing uncertainty and stress even more concerning.
No one expects an airline to control geopolitical events or airspace closures. However, passengers absolutely expect professional crisis management, clear communication and a sense of responsibility.
Unfortunately, our experience with flydubai has been the opposite.
Based on this experience, we cannot recommend flying with flydubai if you expect reliable customer support in difficult situations.
In the end they managed to got us on a flight and i give them Credit for the accommodation. It could have been a good experience if it weren't for the catastrophic communication.

Здравствуйте, я бы хотела поделиться своим так скажем горьким опытом полета авиакомпанией Флай Дубай через аэропорт Дубая.Несколько раз в году летаю через эту авиакомпанию но такого не ожидала вовсе.В конце января этого года как обычно купила билеты с уже зарегистрированным багажом 20 кг.и 7 ручная кладь.Особо вещей не было с Армении только маленький чемодан весом не более 7 кг.ручная кладь.Прошла регистрацию в аэропорту Звартноц сотрудник предложил сдать чемодан в багаж чтобы не тоскать в самолет но я и согласилась.В чемодане хотя и не много но были Золотые изделия примерно 7-8 гр.нечего не подозревая и даже не думала, что в таком безопасном городе во всем мире как Дубай сотрудники аэропорта могут украсть мои золотые изделия.Призелившись и уже забрав чемодан я поехала в гостиницу,открыла а там нет моих драгоценостей, верх дном весь чемодан,оставили только мешочек где находились золотые изделия.Первым делом обратилась он-лайн в авиакомпанию Fly Dubay где изложила подробно ситуацию ,описала изделия,вес,скинула фото чемодана и документы....мне ответили что страховка не покрывает стоимость украденных золотых изделий и рекомендуют обратиться в полицию Армении.По приезду сразу же обратилась в полицию через несколько дней вызвали посмотреть камеры видео наблюдения. Всё просмотрели к чемодану в аэропорту Армении некто не дотрагивался загрузили и увезли на борт самолёта, таким образом, мои изделия украли естественно в аэропорту Дубая .Дело даже не в ценности и стоимости изделий просто будьте осторожны нечего ценного не кладите в чемоданы там идёт организованная кража.Будьте бдительны!!!!

Really a great trip with flydubai
I wanted a cheap trip and I booked my tickets with flydubai since they are cheap. I prebooked my seats and meals all the services. Did my online check-in. Departure from terminal 2 . The seats were comfortable. It was a smooth journey. We had a good flight.

Flugbegleiter sehr freundlich und kompetent.
Essen ist schmackhaft und viel. Getränke ausreichend und gut.
Mehr Beinfreiheit wurde im Vorhinein dazugebucht und war an Reihe 6 und 16 angenehm.
Da ich fülliger bin, war der Weg zur Toilette eng, auch die Bewegung in der Toilette war es gerade noch erträglich.

There should be an option for 0 stars! flydubai operates with dishonesty, delays and horrendous customer service as a matter of course.
Our flight was cancelled due to plane technical fault but the airline continues to lie over six weeks and many emails later that it was weather related. The Flydubai ground staff, pilot and flight attendants all advised that the cancellation was due to a technical fault. Basic safety procedures are ignored and when there are issues, flydubai ground staff are nowhere to be seen. Customer service is beyond woeful. I cannot believe that flydubai is allowed to operate with such blatant disregard for passengers. Come on Emirates, we expect so much better!

During my recent trip my suitcase went missing and it didn’t arrive at my arrival destination. I was thinking it was going to be a big problem. I met one of the Flydubai staff they were so helpful. They registered the complaint and they said baggage will be delivered at my house. I was amazed that baggage was delivered after few days after few follow-ups but I received my baggage.

I had a very disappointing experience with flydubai.
Our flight from Dubai to Kazan was diverted to Yekaterinburg due to drone activity. We were kept inside the aircraft for about three hours with no proper information, assistance, or refreshments provided 😡
Passengers were then offered a 13-hour bus transfer instead of being re-routed on another flight. Due to the excessive travel time and conditions, I had to arrange alternative transportation at my own expense to reach my final destination.
I submitted all supporting documents, including my boarding pass and proof of expenses but my emails have simply been ignored.

I had a very disappointing experience with flydubai. During my recent trip, my suitcase was severely damaged by baggage/security handling. The shell of my suitcase was cracked and the locks were completely broken, making it unusable.
What makes this even more frustrating is that the staff at the airport initially acknowledged the damage and accepted responsibility. However, once I returned home and submitted a formal claim online, flydubai completely denied any involvement and refused to compensate for the damage.
The lack of accountability and the way this was handled is extremely unprofessional. It’s disappointing to see such inconsistency between what is said at the airport and how claims are treated afterward.
Based on this experience, I will not be flying with flydubai again.
Don't buy anything from duty free
I would give this airline zero stars if I could. The ground staff seemed poorly trained and unhelpful. I was forced to rebook my return ticket, and they charged me for excess weight on my carry-on simply because I purchased items at duty-free. The timing of their weighing procedure, placing a scale directly before boarding, seems designed to catch passengers off guard and extract additional fees.
The policy also raises concerns about fairness and potential discrimination. If weight is the issue, the current approach appears arbitrary and inconsistent.
I'm extremely disappointed with this experience and cannot recommend this airline.

Had a great experience traveling with flydubai this time. The terminal 3 made up my travel spectacular. From check in till departure all went well. As I always don’t prefer bus boarding which is a huge disappointment it almost takes 20 minutes to reach the aircraft. But liked their terminal 3 departure.

Very disappointing and unprofessional experience with Flydubai at Sphinx International Airport (Egypt).
The check-in counter staff, including their manager, behaved in a highly unprofessional manner. Communication was poor, explanations were unclear, and the overall attitude toward passengers was disrespectful and dismissive.
What made the situation worse was how the staff appeared to coordinate with immigration regarding overstaying visa penalties. Instead of clearly explaining official procedures or fixed amounts, the process turned into negotiation and pressure, which felt inappropriate and unfair. Payment amounts were changed multiple times without transparency or justification.
I also witnessed other passengers being treated the same way, facing sudden changes in required payments and unnecessary pressure. The lack of consistency, clarity, and basic customer respect was shocking.
This experience does not meet the standards expected from an international airline. Flydubai seriously needs to review the conduct of its ground staff and management at this airport to prevent similar situations in the future.

I had a wonderful first trip with fly Dubai airlines. My experience with flyDubai was wonderful. I was very excited to take to take flight in business class to Zanzibar Tanzania. It was first time in business class cabin. I got my boarding pass in very fast. After boarding cabin welcomed me greeted me. All businesss class service was amazing . Their entertainment system was good and I loved it watched movie all through. Cabin crew kind and seats were comfortable. Everything went smooth.

It made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected as a passenger.
Customer service should be polite and respectful. This spoiled my travel experience.

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service, terrible support. I booked a flight and made a mistake with the date, booking it one day later than intended. I contacted them within 12 hours of booking to simply change the flight to the previous day at the same time, but they refused, insensitively applying a 100% penalty to change the flight to the day before. It's unbelievable that a company like this doesn't allow flight changes within 12 hours of purchase. terrible service, not even a refund or credit, nothing.
