The hand feel is fantastic. You can tell the book is meant to be read (it hold up extremely well) and strike that perfect middle ground where they aren’t so expensive you feel like you can’t even touch them, but deliver consistently exceptional quality for the price and are a joy to read.
It's ok. I'm not that crazy about the pictures but there wasn't much selection. Of course the quality is great. Here's a wish: What about a book of illuminated manuscripts???? You would do a fabulous job on that. I had a beautiful book on these, but searching to replace it hasn't turned up anything good at all. Please do this!
A beautiful edition of a wonderful story. Folio never disappoints.
Received the books on timely manner beautifully illustrated beautifully made the font type is applicable for this particular story. I am looking forward to reading it in the near future.
Beautiful books with great presentation Lovely artwork and drawing
The product is beautiful and it is worth the money it cost. For me the only problem is the shipping cost, or I would buy more Folio books.
Not read it or even handled it much (I might drool over such a quality book) as it is a gift
Lovley Book
Brilliant - so fond of the DWJ books; a writer of such wonderful imagination, so to have these in such beautiful production is amazing.
Love the Folio children's books!
Comes to life with the beautiful Illustrations, a true gem for lovers of magic and adventure
This is a new title for me. I am anxious to read it!
A beautiful edition, it's a treasure for my books collection.
Such a wonderful book! And a lovely Christmas gift.I love Diana Wynne Jones. Even though she wrote for kids, they are not childish books. Folio Society continues to publish beautiful well made books. Now I just need to make more room on my shelves.
Bought after reading the Moving Castle series.A different artist - but a delight that the slipcase is decorated. I also apprciate the introduction and forewards - not always included in recent releases...
A lovely edition of a wonderful book with the outstanding illustrations adding to the pleasure or reading it.
Not possible as it was a gift from one of my family to another
