This work is beautiful in its own right. Although it isn't quite my usual style and I don't typically read much of this genre, it holds immense sentimental value for me. It brings back fond memories of my mother, who absolutely adored this story as well as the animated series, and couldn't stop talking and expressing her gratitude when we sent her on vacation to the Swiss Alps to "live the Heidi mountain experience." As for Folio, I loved several specific details: the ribbon marker is a lovely touch that is rarely included in their standard editions, usually being reserved for limited editions. The illustrations are magnificent, and the choice of colors for the chapter titles makes the entire reading experience feel remarkably organic. Excellent job, Folio!
