What can I say about Forefathers? In particular David Jefferys and Tracey, I’d have given them 10 stars if I could.
After a very long 2 years with David’s support I have finally got to the end of the road and have a child arrangement order that gives me 10 times the amount of time with my kids as I did before I started. David’s astute knowledge and understanding is priceless, I learnt enough from David over the time with him to have the confidence to go to the final hearing alone and before that write my own statements and submissions. Even cross examining Cafcass myself with my own questions, I could not have done that without David’s support and encouragement, what a guy! David has a hard hitting approach which is needed when you have a clouded emotional view of the proceedings, if you’re lucky enough to have David in your corner, listen and take everything he says in. You will get where you need to be if you just allow his knowledge and experience to do its magic. I will forever be grateful for what this company and as I said David have done for me and my kids, don’t hesitate if you need help, pick up the phone and get these people on board you will not be disappointed! Thank You David! I owe so much to you and now I get to spend some proper time with my boys.

I was in a nasty triangle involving my ex-wife, my current wife, and a blended family, trapped in a vicious cycle of controlling behavior and manipulation through my children for years. It reached a point where both my wife and I mentally snapped due to false allegations and constant interference.
Desperate for help, I researched legal advice for fathers and came across Forefathers Family Law. I reached out and explained my situation to Tracey O'Brien, who was an absolute godsend. She connected me with a strapping fellow named David Jefferies. We had lengthy discussions regarding everything that had happened over the last eight years. To be completely honest, David and Tracey combined were a breath of fresh air, especially after a disastrous court experience with a barrister years prior.
Leading up to my final hearing on 05/08/2026, David coached me in great detail, explained what I was up against, and helped me solidify the outcome I wanted. Also explained to me in detail what was meant by the statements he wrote on my behalf throughout the pre hearings and the final one.
On the day of the hearing, David turned up and we got straight to work. Being both ex-military, we immediately understood each other.
Even though he wasn't permitted to speak in the hearing room, David had set me up to succeed against the odds stacked against me, effectively helping me dismantle the opposition's narrative. I still have a long way to go with my children emotionally and mentally, but the barrier of their mother is gone. The end result went in my favor, and I couldn't be happier. I can now see my children with no interference from their mother.
I honestly don't know what I would have done without David and Tracey in my corner supporting and reassuring me—without them, I would have caved and given up. As we left the courtroom, I was close to tears in the foyer. These were good tears, and my mother could see it.
You both have made more of an impact than any traditional solicitor or barrister could have, and for half the cost. For any fathers out there estranged from your children, facing access issues, or dealing with false allegations, I wholeheartedly recommend David and Tracey at Forefathers Family Law Ltd.
