I placed an order for twoPaid for two watches, received only one – no resolution so far G-Shock…

I placed an order for two G-Shock watches and paid in full.
The delivery arrived with only one watch inside the parcel. I immediately contacted customer support and provided all details requested.
Several days later, the issue is still unresolved and communication has been extremely slow.
This is a very disappointing experience from a brand of this size and reputation. I am still waiting for either the missing item to be shipped or a refund.

Great staff, fantastic service

Have bought several Casio watches from this store, bought the new GW-BX5600 yesterday as a daily wear. So pleased with the spec and super easy to use.

Kimberley and Jan are such a credit to Casio with their knowledge of the brand, they are helpfull and polite and do not force you into a sale.

Would highly recommend this shop to all.

If you live in Ireland don't buy it!!!

If you live in Ireland don't buy it!!!! You will have to pay taxes in Ireland and if you don't like the watch and want to return it, you will lose the tax money. Another problem is that gshock uk sends the orders without using DHL or another similar company, they send them by regular mail and then they don't know where the order is when it leaves the UK. If the order is lost or stolen, they can't do anything. The person responsible for customer support, Tom, doesn't know how to respond if this happens (and it happened to me that the order got lost) and you have to pressure him to take the initiative. I spent more than 20 euros on calls to the UK. I have 18 gshock watches but I don't think I'll buy any more, there's zero respect for the consumer. PS: The other lady who works in customer support does not have the power to make decisions but is very polite and professional, perhaps she deserves an opportunity to move up in her career (I think that her name is Angela).

Please stop using ParcelForce as the courier. The watches are amazing, but that means nothing if customers do not receive their orders. I was home all day, yet ParcelForce claims they attempted delivery and that I was not home.

Awful delivery experience

They should consider using a different courier.

The first delivery attempt, the driver failed to find my address. The second delivery attempt, they left it outside of a house on another street.

This is all despite my address being exactly where google maps thinks it is.

Love the watches but the website is an absolute nightmare to navigate.
Also customer services are a tad vague when trying to chase up a delivery.
The instructions are totally illogical in every way!!

mixed bag

I agree with some other reviewers that if you search for an item or reference number, it should give you only models that are in stock or at least not discontinued. Also the keyword searching doesn't work very well and sometimes shows non-relevant results. It should also come up with suggestions, like if I was searching for GW-5000 it should at least confirm that the search term was valid but just that they aren't for sale any more etc. Also, there are too few pictures of each model, and the pictures are nearly all heavily sanitised marketing shots that make it hard to imagine what it really looks like IRL. The specifications are incomplete and vary in detail from model to model making comparison difficult. Also the categories have changed so it makes it harder to find what you are looking for, e.g. classic category has gone. If I am looking for G-Shock squares, you have to use the search function and search for DW-5600, GW-M5610 and try to remember all the other reference numbers used. Also, when you contact G-shock to ask questions about availability, the tone of the response is sometimes a bit off and unhelpful. When I pointed out that the stock status was unhelpful, they werne't interested, i.e. if an item is out of stock and no longer available, it may be listed as 'out of stock' with a 'get notified' button when in fact it is discontinued and they won't get any more. Some models do show as discontinued, but others you aren't so sure about, esp. limited editions. I wasted a lot of time waiting for them to come back in stock when i could have bought from a US retailer, because the G-Shock site said it was merely 'out of stock' and I'd signed up for stock alerts, despite being specifically told it was no longer available. It was very annoying. Also, if you sign up for stock alerts, it doesn't always seem to alert you when it comes in stock again. Also, when you ask customer services if a limited edition model will be in stock again, they always say 'no' because by default as its a limited edition, they won't get any more, but this isn't always true, and I see one 40th anniversary model come back in stock again after being told it wouldn't be. If customer services don't know, they should say they don't know. Another thing, sometimes you can get a few models at a big discount on the casio.co.uk site but not on the g-shock site. There are rarely any promotions or offers on the g-shock site, so it always feels like you are paying above the market average, as few g-shocks actually sell at RRP except in retail high street shops. Also, there should be more G-shock stores around the country IMO - either that or certain models should not be restricted to the web site and the London store only - as it makes them too hard to buy if demand is high. On the plus side, shipping is very fast and the returns policy is good although free return shipping would be nice.

Excellent.

As others have stated, the website could be improved a little but otherwise my experience thus far has been excellent. A great selection of watches available, ordered quickly getting the discount I was offered and the watch arrived this morning just two working days after ordering. Very happy.

Contacting trading standards

Does not honour cashback, despite advertising they do. I have ordered on 2 separate occasions from this website. They advertise cashback on a cashback website. On both occasion it has been declined. I went through every step of the process to the letter, yet the website has denied my money. This is blatant false advertising and I will be contacting trading standards to that Gshock can explain exactly why they like to repeatedly falsely advertise in an effort to persuade customers to use their website. Avoid at all costs.

Website needs a good seeing to

Absolutely love these watches but the website is an actual nightmare, goes back to page 1 all the time and 90% are out of stock why don't you give the option of in stock items I gave up un the end

I have sent a return. It seems no-one knows anything about it. A case of the computer says no.
Update
The return did make it to the warehouse. Never did get any response or help.

Censorship on G-Shock.co.uk

I tried to leave a critical 1 start review on the g-shock.co.uk website, following a recent purchase. But despite confirming my email address, the review never appeared. Looks like the site is censoring critical reviews (as evident by the abundance of glowing 5 star reviews).

My criticism related to two aspects of my shopping experience. First, the watch I bought was labelled as ‘Limited Edition’ for about a week (screenshots saved), which influenced my purchasing decision. Having bought the watch, the ‘limited edition’ labelled disappeared, indicating the watch will soon be available at online discounters (at a cheaper price). Casio are slapping ‘Limited Edition’ on far too many of their G-Shock models these days. Please proceed with caution, before over-paying for a watch on their UK website.

Second, the watch itself is hard to read, due to the absence of anti-reflective coating on the glass. The hands and dial face are also of a similar colour, adding to the poor legibility. The model is the GM-2100B-3AER.

Having been a G-Shock fan for many years, their censorship of genuine, critical product reviews have lost me as a customer!

Best customer service

I found "gshock.com" review here after I purchased an item so I was quite worried. But their customer service was great!!
I took one star off because the address was wrong (when I check my registration it's right address but only the shipping was wrong...) and it caused delivery problem. It was hard to find where to contact for customer service either, that's why 4stars but when I managed to contact, they were so quick to respond and resolve the problem. I was very impressed.
